The room smelled so bad that the windows were left open in the cold when we entered. You could not turn on the heat because it made the room smell worse. We asked for a change of room and was denied by the rude woman at the desk. There was no hot water and no water pressure. It was close to the train station and our destination. Hotel was pretty good, the rooms were decent for the Neighborhood, the pillows sucked, like sleeping with rock pillows, bed was comfy, the breakfast sucked, all it was cereal and danish's, clean safe, 2 blocks away from the 7 train which will take you to Time Square and City field where the NY Mets play, walked around in Navy uniform from Train station […] late at night around 1am and wasnt bothered, people really nice in the area gave good directions, hotel staff was friendly and courteous, only thing I did not like was that they took a copy of my ID, but reassured me they shredded it after the room was checked out to be not damaged, all around I recommend it 100%, for the price and location to train station I will stay there again, especially if my wife said it was decent, and she is really picky so I give it a6 out of 10.... อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This HoJo isn't 4-star hotel located in a ritzy Manhattan neighborhood, but it's in a fairly safe location right on Queens Blvd. There are lots of food & shopping options nearby and the 7 train is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel -- which can get you to Times Square in a mere 15-20 minutes. They are sticklers for rules. I booked 2 rooms, Hotels.com asked me to put in 2 names, so i put in mine and another. The other person went to check in earlier, but they would not let them in, then when i went to check in, they asked for his id, and would not accept any other persons ID. they almost did not let me get the other room. So then we finally […] worked it out and got into the tiny room. with 2 beds. that were not the newest. It was not horrible, but it should have cost less for the amount of space and distance from the city. I would recommend it if you got a great deal. Good hotel and very good for people visiting New York.

We rented two rooms for the New Years and it was about a 5 minute walk to the 7 train, which takes you directly to Times Sq. (It's the last stop, so first time riders wouldn't miss it). The lady at the front desk was helpful in answering our questions and "Andy" at night was very helpful in accommodating us when we showed up at 3 am semi-drunk. Louzy area but close to airport. Room linens were clean

There was no heather available on my room and when I call front desk they stated the maintenance person left at 9 pm and they have no other room available.

We were in town for my Alumni Dinner that weekend. Having our room in the Basement of the hotel was great because there was little to no noise. The King Bed was huge! When we wanted to order out, the staff was kind to ring our room and let us know the order arrived. Couldn't beat the price. Short walk to the LIRR and the #7 train. When I open my room, it doesn't smells good and first day no one clean my room. The front desk is nice but living quility is not so good. According to the price and the conditions, I can accept, but I won't go again.

The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet was dirty with old urine staining the base of it as well as a full can of garbage left from old occupant. When I called for garbage to be removed, no one every responded. The people were not friendly or very welcoming. I felt like I was in a distant country. A no frills hotel. Front desk was behind glass (?). Cont. breafkast was cold cereal and muffins. Hotel was 6 blocks form subway. Room was very small. Hotel coffee for breakfast and room was terrible. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. But for the price, it was okay.

Nice place, convenient to both bus and subway into the city. They have breakfast, free wifi, and friendly staff. Not much in the neighborhood besides a 7-11 across the street, so it's pretty quiet and safe to walk even late at night.

Very nice economy hotel.

Not bad hotel for the price, but it's a little out of the way. You literally have to walk uphill both ways to get to/from the subway. We ended up having a taxi take us to/from hotel/subway station. Staff was helpful though and provided us with a fair priced taxi service

Make sure you're not on the basement level, it sucks. there is also a fire station or something right across the street and since youre in the bowels of New York the sirens go off every 5 minutes... Also the front desk people are very pushy about the check out time, so if you stay past 11 you'll probably get quite a few phone calls til you leave.

Clean room. Convenient walk to subway (but not so close you hear it running all night). Parking is cramped and limited. Overall a good value for New York.

Stayed at this hotel for a conference, its about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway (7), but cab fare isn't terrible (paid $15 to cross into midtown). Everything was good for the price, and the staff was courteous and accommodating. If you plan to stay in the room long, bring a laptop because the TV selection is very basic. The trip was great close to the train and restaurants. Free parking and the breakfast was not bad for the price.

So much cheaper than most hotels in the city. Clean. Comfy. We enjoyed our stay here!! Metro just a 10 to 15 walk. Awesome Pizza a block away. Definitely will return!!

Room in the basement (!) with stuffy air. Poor breakfast. Apart from that okay.

The room was clean but very small. The staff was friendly enough. The bed was a bit hard. Seems a little pricy for the quality but overall I would stay there again because it was clean.

The hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. We were looking for something easy to drive to and not too expensive for the New York area.

room was small (expected that for the price) but clean and didn't participate in the breakfast (only cereal, muffins and juice). Friendly and helpful service, great location and only had to park in the street once. Quick easy check in and out. Even with the limited parking, I only had to park on the street once. Would stay there again.

I won't go into too much detail. But The Guest service agent (which rhymes with Baren-you figure it out- was absolutely horrible. Everyone else was VERY helpful! The guest service agent "baren" checked in 4 people ahead of me over a 4 hour wait, even tho I actually has reservations. From laguardia airport to the hotel it was only $10. The neighborbood […] is safe and sits next to the expressway. There is a local corner store, 711 and BP gas station across the street. The proximity to the "7 Train" ( which takes you straight to times square, Manhattan etc.) is VERY close! It took me about 8 minute walk to get there. The hotel also provides small paper directions to all the attractions by public transit. My bathroom door stuck but then again this is not the Waldorf hotel. It was good enough to sleep in, use the bathroom and shower and then hit NYC! I recommend this hotel for the value, proximity to train and neighboorood safety. We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the subway and price. There is a deli on the short walk to the subway that was pretty good. Its a pretty nice jump off point for out of towners to explore new york city. Overall good experience for my wife and I.

The pillows were kind of hard hurts my ears but other than that it was good for the price..

Rooms are rather European in style. Well done but tight on space. I had a room with a king size bed. I liked the staff and location very much. Parking was not a problem. Easy access to some deli's for takeout. I took the car to get to restaurants. Very easy access to the Bronx and Manhattan.

Hotel met all expectations. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Short walk to elevated train for 20-minute ride to Times Square. Loved the nearby ethnic neighborhoods. Sripraphai the best Thai restaurant in New York City only minutes away. Ali's superb Egyptian food Kabab Cafe on Steinway in Astoria only a 15-minute cab ride away. I had no problem finding parking, We cannot complaint because must of the hotels with this price doesn't have parking at all. I went to New York couple times and I stayed in differents hotel and I recommend this hotel.

Confusing Queens street names and numbers make the hotel difficult to find for out-of-towners. We went a couple miles in the wrong direction on Queens Blvd. due to odd street numbering system. Everything about our stay for two people for three nights went well. The parking lot can accomodate about eight cars, but we were always able to get a parking spot in it. Otherwise there is street parking. My only compaint is that the breakfast counter has no tables and chairs at which to sit to have breakfast . The room was small, as are all budget hotel rooms in NYC. But it was suffcient. The staff immediately attended to our minor requests, with good attitude. We requested and received a room away from Queens Blvd, to reduce hearing traffic noise. Sometimes we could hear people in neighboring rooms, but it was occaisional and not disruptive.
