Location is terrible since it is 1 block from a railroad yard and the noise from the trains being broken down and rebooked up is 24/7. It was fine, could use some updating. We got a stinky smoking room, yuck!

The hotel itself was OK, and it was close to where I was supposed to be and the Zoo. However, the maid service didn't come while my wife and kids were out all day, finally showing up about 4:00 to tired wife and kids. Toilet was clogged also. Went to dinner and called about maid service and was told that housekeeping left at 2:00 pm (they came to room […] at 4:00). Bigger deal was free wireless internet never worked. Called front desk and was transferred to Indian tech support who started down the troubleshooting checklist. After two separate calls, the tech person asks if I had another device to try. The location made it quick to get into town which was most important for this trip. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel shows some wear, the pool is not well maintained, and there is some noise from the train yard.

We were in Nashville to see Jesus Culture in concert at Belmont University and the hotel was close as was downtown Nashville. They offered a nice free breakfast with a good selection......from waffles, bagels, cereal, juice and coffee just to name a few. Woman at front desk was very friendly and helpful. They put me in a smkoing room even though I reserved a ns room. It was nasty. The attendants deceived me and were not helpful.

Pros- Room was spacious, Desk Clerk very attentive, Continental Breakfast was decent Cons-Out of the way location, carpet in room needed shampoo not vacuuming...was filthy. More detail to true cleanliness would make this a better place.

We reserved 8 rooms at this hotel and of the 8, 3 of them were not cleaned and ready for us at check in time so we had to return to the front desk and be assigned to different rooms. The rooms that were ready were in nice condition and very comfortable.

The outside looked rundown. The room itself was just like all the others I have stayed in. Front desk was polite. They offered less for breakfast than the others, but can't complain since it was free. Not a big variety of restaurants in the area. Have to drive a bit.

Since the room and the hotel is very close to HWY 65 on Nashville, TN, it is very noisy. On top that the heater's fan was making loud noise. I could not sleep at all because of the constant noise. I would have not booked this hotel had I known that it is close to highway.

We were given a smoking room even though I booked a non-smoking room and and also confirmed at check in that it was non-smoking.

Decent place for the money. Was a little "rough" on the outside, but the room was nice and clean, smelled good and that's where we needed to spend our time. Great new widescreen TV and wireless internet too. Ice machines were all out and our room key stopped working earliler than checkout but was not an issue on this trip.

Under normal circumstances, this hotel would be great. It had a clean, comfortable atmosphere with friendly, efficient employees and a nice breakfast. BUT BEWARE !! It is located directly next to the train tracks. The whistle, the screetching of the metal on metal, and whoooosh of the air brakes continued ALL NIGHT LONG !! It was nearly impossible […] to sleep. My room was marked non-smoking but you could smell cigarettes when you opened the door. The desk called to ask about my room,. I could hear her but she could not hear me. I had to go all the way to the lobby to order a pizza.

This place is a dump. It smelled awful, my door wouldn't lock and the curtains wouldn't close. I slept in my clothes. It was so seedy. Don't stay here if you value your life. Hotel staff was scary and unprofessional.

I thought this was a great bargain. It was only a 5-10 minute drive to Music Row and the rest of downtown Nashville. It's also right off I-65, which was perfect for coming in from the south. The location outside the city was pretty reasonable. I felt like it was in a safe neighborhood. It was right next to Waffle House and Cracker Barrel, so two great […] food options right there. The only knock I have on the hotel is the wireless internet signal was really weak in my room. I won't say the wireless signal was worthless, but it was pretty close to it. If you really want internet, maybe ask for a room close to the lobby. Overall, the room was exactly what I needed and I'm glad I booked it. This is the second time that we've stayed at this La Quinta due to the price and proximity to the Nashville Flea Market. The price is reasonable and for the most part the room is clean and everything works. Granted there are constant reminders that you're very close to a train yard. It may say "Continental Breakfast", but they had waffles, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, jucies, so you won't need to go out to eat. Train yard was not a big deal, you can't even see it from the hotel.

We were in Nashville recording and this was the closest htoel to the studio. Normally Laquinta has warm and friendly service and decent rooms. Our air conditioning went out and when we were sent to another room it hadn't been cleaned and we were told to take it or leave it. Rather than sleep on someone elses filth we slept in 90+ degree weather with […] no air conditioning. The next day we spoke to the manager and he never even offered an apology but did move us.. At 5.30 am we were woken up by our neighbors grilling and partying outside our door.. Again we spoke to the manager and no apology. He was almost rude. I will never stay at the hotel again. You know all this time I used to always think La Quinta is a very good Hotel to relax. But not anymore. Even the toilet is so dirty you can see the edges of the dirtiness all around it . A nice, comfortable place to break up a trip. If I was to be staying more than one night, a microwave and refrigerator would have been nice.

Only real complaint was the bathroom was missing a few tiles and a drain plug. Beds were comfortable and sheets clean, though

This is the cleanest motel I have stayed in this year ; the beds are comfortable; the breakfast is minimal, but there is a Waffle House on the premises if you want more. It was close enough to both the downtown and West Nashville places I needed to go to.Some other reviewers complained of noise from trains, which I was conscious of once in the parking […] lot, but it was barely audible in the room. After booking this hotel, we got worried when we found out that it was between the interstate, the railroad train station, and a shady part of town. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of the room - we could tell it had been recently updated - new furniture, beds, and carpet, but old doors and bathroom fixtures. We had a pleasant sleep with the A/C running, and didn't hear anything from outside. We opted out of breakfast, since the guilty pleasure of Waffle House was only a few steps away, so we cannot comment on the hotel's breakfast. We were a little disappointed by the lack of friendliness from the hotel staff - both the person who checked us in at night and the person who checked us out in the morning. Good price, comfortable, staff were nice and professional. The room was clean and maintained, and everything worked. The location leaves something to be desired, but there was no noise. I would stay here again if I needed to crash in Nashville.

We were suppose to get a smoke free room but when we got to the room it reeked of smoke. The hotel did have one more room that they moved us to and it looked like it was 50 years old. The beds were very small and uncomfortable.

Clean, convenient,but NOISY. Located 1/2 mile from a large train yard.

The hotel itself was somewhat shabby. It was older and in disrepair. However, the hotel staff was exceedingly accomodating and nice. Clean older hotel. Train noise (switching yard) but if you are a moderate to heavy sleeper it will not bother you. Good for a cheap nights sleep.

This hotel is about 10 minutes south of downtown Nashville, right off of the freeway. Easy to find, and a very good place to be - especially for the price. Keep in mind, you are near a train yard and there is a little noise associated with it, but I didn't find it that distracting. We will stay here again when we need to be in Nashville.

The hotel was fine for the cost of the room. We asked for nonsmoking rooms and, even thoug they were all gone, the front desk staff person still found us one. The only issue was it was between the interstate and the railroad yard. If you turned your room fan on, it would pretty much cover the noise.

First, it is right next to HUGE train yard. I didn't mind because I can sleep anywhere ... but my wife and three kids up all nite! Wanted to put fan from air on, but oh no? It doesn't work. I'm a guy and still not bothered. Would have loved dip in pool, but noooo. It was green with leaves and floaters in it. When we arrived, the guy at desk was very friendly. The first bad taste in my mouth was when the hotel didn't have any luggage racks so we had to lug all our luggage plus children to the outside entry rooms. Upon entering you could tell the hotel was very old and carpet was uncleanable. I proceeded to check out bathroom and much to my dismay, the tub […] floor was black! Looked like they had slip resistant marts that were never cleaned under. I called front desk and he came down and showed me the room next door. It was no cleaner so we stayed in the original room. I wouldn't let the kids bathe and I showered with a double layer of towels in the bathtub. The comforters were stained so I threw them in the corner. We got no sleep as the hotel was across the road from a train station, so all we heard was screeching and crashing all night long! The lady at front desk took my lengthy written comments and said she would give to mgmt and he would call and email me with a response.
