Hotel Clauzel - ปารีส

I was a little nervous about booking this hotel, but pleasantly surprised to find it clean & easy to get to! The Closest Metro station is the Notre-Dame de-Lorette, which is on the green line, just down the hill! The area was pretty quiet at night, with normal street noise during the day. We stayed from Monday to Wednesday, thus the quiet nights... […] The room was on the 4th floor and had plenty of space. Yes, the elevator is small, but we managed to get our big bags up with our smaller ones. My daughter took the first ride up, & I followed. Even if it seems small, two people can fit in without bags. If you're looking for something fancy in an upscale neighborhood, this isn't it. But Hotel Clauzel comes through where it matters. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom had a GREAT shower, there was free wifi, and when we came back late at night, the surrounding area was perfectly safe.

It was a decent hotel. Neither great nor bad but it had everything I needed. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I would stay there again.

This is the worst place i've ever stayed in whilst travelling. It was filthy everywhere, especially the rooms - ours looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. There were other people's hairs in our bed as well as blood spots (due to bed bugs?) and other unidentifiable objects. The bed itself was meant to be a double but it was more like a large […] single that caved in the middle and creaked. The covers were old & really grubby. I refused to walk barefoot on the carpet because it was so dirty. The bathroom STANK, possibly due to the mould everywhere (including the bedroom) and that was in need of a good clean too. We could hear people going to the toilet upstairs & next door as if they were in our room. As for the lift..! Dangerous and coffin-like. We couldn't both fit in with our suitcase. The rest of the hotel was dirty & grubby and stank of old cigarettes. The "free wifi" was rubbish and probably nicked from next door. The only good thing was the neighbourhood, really nice area with little cafes & restaurants and a weekend market. You can see the Sacre Coeur from the hotel too, Montmartre is so close. But stay somewhere else in the area if you value your health! Whilst I fully expect a two-star hotel to be basic, I also expect it to be clean! It was so bad that out of our 4-day trip, we came home 2 days early as we couldn't bear it. I'm complaining to hotels.com and pushing for a refund. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Great location for the hotel... clean rooms & excellent service. Surrounding area close to bakery, cheese shop, restaurants, grocery stores and bars..will DEFINITELTY stay there again!

The room was small, mostly filled by the bed and some furniture. But it has all the standard facilities (plus a good sized TV) and was very clean.

The employees were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good. Plenty of options. I didn't spend much time in the hotel. Used the hotel for breakfast, sleeping, and bathroom. Stay was nice. No air con in room meant we had to leave window open, and the distruct is quite lively and hence noisy. Nightclub up the road and there was a party on nearby. Good job the windows open, as there was a smell of dog urine on our landing and in the heat you notice it a lot. Had to ask for toilet paper and our shower gel dispenser was empty […] and not refilled. No safe in room. Bedrooms and hall ways need refurbishment. The hotel is well positioned for exploring Paris and benifits from local shops, Bars etc. The staff spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. Good location for not busyness trip. There is cheap cafe and supermaket in nearest. Easy metro access, nearest parking (need to pay 3 Eur/hr) . Very good personal, there is internet in rooms and free color printer. Breakfast very simple, wish to be little better.

The hotel was nothing to get excited about but it was clean and reasonably priced . It is an old hotel in an old section of Paris. Staff was ok but not terribly welcoming. The neighborhood was great and location and proximity to metro excellent. I wouldn't hesitate Ito stay there again

I loved the neighborhood - it was walkiing distance to Montmontre - lots of cafes, pattiseries. Very lively area. Not terribly touristy, in an older section of paris Hotel itself was nothing exciting, but clean, safe and reasonably priced. Close to Metro. I would definatly go back

Bed was uncomfortable. Was noisy due to the courtyard by the hotel. People were constantly waking me up in the mornings (once at 4 a.m.) by their talking. When it rained the noise was amplified by the courtyard, so it kept me awake. There were spiders all over the room. Very tiny sink. Good thing was the markets are very close by.

The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. The elevator is tiny (1 person only). There is no AC (as in many Parisian hotels) but you can ask for a fan. They did a good job cleaning. The thing that surprised me most was the size of the room. This is supposed to be a two star hotel in Paris, but my room was massive. I could easily think of some artist living there :) The location of the hotel is great and the room fairly clean. The lift was absolutely tiny, so do not go with big luggage.

The main reason we stayed was affordability. The rooms were basic and a little cramped but not uncommonly so. I thought there were to many flies in the room but by shooing them out and closing the window that problem was solved. When opening the window the next day they returned - it was summer I guess. A small family hotel in a corner. There were quite a lot noise during the night even it locates in a small road. There was one whole night, we can heard the pounding noise from upstaires. With the same budget We could definitely find a much better one.

We loved the location of this hotel which was only a couple of minutes walk from Saint-Georges station and just a little bit further from Notre Dame-de-Lorette. Probably more because the woman was being really loud rather than because of any problem with the room. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. Mildrew all over bathroom walls, bathroom light kept going out in the middle of my shower, and noise from street made it very hard to sleep. This hotel was quite good and rates were cheap. Only inconveniences were no wi-fi (had to queue downstairs for common computer), no remote control for TV and a small cute mouse who ran from bathroom to the room. Regardless of these we would gladly recommend this hotel for a cheap and convenient stay in Paris.

This is your typical inner-Paris hotel, with a surprisingly good value, considering the price. I went with my husband and 14yo sister in December 2011. The room was as requested, a double and single bed. The room and shower area were clean and a good size. The hotel is not very near to Metro and u need to take around 15-20 minus to walk, it is not convenient when you are taking a big luggage. Hotel's life is the smallest one that I'd never seen, it just can accomodate 1 person, if you take a big luggage u cannot use it.

An older hotel, it is very quaint, and in a quaint neighborhood. We loved the fact that you could open the windows and look up and down the street, watching the passersby. We loved it!! The location of the hotel was great! very easy to get everywhere...we didn't have to rush to get to central paris for example. The hotel staff is friendly. We could see Sacre Cour from the hotel, loads of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets nearby. Despite being a small room, was very confortable and cute. Go for it!

Hotel is an easy walk to Sacre Cour and Montmatre. You can also walk to the main sights in Paris in about 15-20mins (or just get the Metro). The street its located on has some great cheese, fish, bakeries and fresh produce and a supermarket so its quite convenient to grab breakfast, lunch or a snack. Hotel Clauzel was located ina wonderful street and neighbourhood - the street has a bakery, supermarket, cafes and a terrific atmosphere the moment you stepped outside. The metro station was just a 4minute walk. The hotel didnt have twin beds available (wich was our preference when booking) and we wernt told this until we arrived which was very frustrating. […] the room was also incredily small but I believe most paris/european accomodation is the same. Clauzel is a no frills hotel. Its location is superb located just below Sacre-Coeur on Rue des Martyrs which has every type of shop and eatery one could require. The main thing is that it is a short walking distance to 3 METRO stations: Pigale Line 2, Notre Dame de Lorette Line 12 and Le Peletier line 5. hotel was clean, carpet on stairs well used but ok place was very quiet so good to sleep at night. night clerk a little odd wanted me to speak in french(even though he spoke perfect english) but was ok .. breakfast was good when they had everything the first day we had pasteries and bread put in front of us and we helped ourselves to yoghurt /juice/cereal […] and coffee was made in a very loud machine and brought to us. second day same on offer but no yoghurt even though we arrived at breakfast in the first 45mins ... but over all this place was ok and i could stay there again, it was also a good size bedroom even if bathroom was tiny. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Although this hotel is close to the metro & it's located in a good area, it is old, has no a/c & our room had a couple of cockroaches which made our stay even less pleasant.

The Hotel Clauzel in Paris- room was clean but shaby. Shower and bathroom were awful! shower wand would not stay in place, no where to put soap, shampoo except on floor of shower and the batroom was very poorly lit so as not to show the mold on the grout lines in the shower!!! Expected small but could not even close the door if you were sitting on the […] toilet! Night staff were all different folks and the morning on day of departure I went to the lobby to check flight departure times on the computer for guest use (no WIFI either!!!) when I was told at 0640 I could not use the computer until they opened at 0700 or be in the lobby as they were closed until then! No one else was there! breakfast was not available until 08 while other area hotels were available at 07 or 0730. would not book again for the full five days as there were other hotels in the area that we viewed which were cleaner , more accomodating and the bathrooms also small but certainly cleaner for sure! As well the other nicer ones in the same are were 20 - 25 Euros cheaper per night when we inquired and also the rates were posted! We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Clauzel. The staff were helpfull and friendly. The surrounding area was enjoyable. Some attractions were withing walking distance and the metro stations were reasonably close with the metro easy to use. the rates were reasonable. We would stay there again.
