Argo Hotel - Piraeus

the Hotel was excellent, have stayed there before and will stay there again.

We got to the Hotel Argo about 1am and had a very kind , calm welcome from the receptionist. He was also trying to deal on the phone with a rather stressed would-be guest who couldn't find the hotel and didn't know which direction she was coming from, which he dealt with also very calmly. The rooms aren't wonderful, although very clean, but it's really […] easy to get to the port from there and the staff will tell you everything you want to know about the area/ buses /ferries etc ( but if you are not there in the middle of the high season , check ferry times again!). Easy to arrive to the port. Good neiborhood and the room is old fashion but clean and confortable. Good size with shower. From port and metro (subway) you can go walking.

The only issue I had with this hotel is that the linen closet was right outside my room in the hallway and I heard it constantly plus the other people going into their rooms. The walls must be paper thin. Also, in this hotel...if you decide to go walk around or away from your room, you have to give your room key back to the reception for them to hold […] on too. Within 10 minutes from the port to the Greek islands, the hotel is a very good choice when having a stop over. Neighborhood is not as bad as some of the reviews sais, we walked home past 24:00 both of our stays and didn't get a sketchy feeling at all. Would definitely recommend the hotel if you're staying for a night going to/coming back from island hopping. A tips if you have a few hours to kill is to visit Akropolis. The hotel is old and requires a really good refurbishment to bring it up to today's expectations. There was only one very slow 3 person lift. The room where we were staying was small, tiny ensuite with the basics only. There was always a strange smell in the corridors and especially inside the room. This place was a little disappointing, though had we been honest with ourselves, it was to be expected. The price is in line with the hotel - it is a good rate for the location ( 5 min from harbour ) and considering that it is Athens !! Everything was excelent!

It seems like this hotel is primarily used as a stopover for people traveling through the nearby port. We stayed only one night, but it was good. They also offer a breakfast and transport to the port in the morning for an additional fee, but make sure to know which pier your boat is leaving from as we almost missed ours because of this confusion!

The location wasn't great, my friend and I went to Athens alone and we pretty much were concerned for our safety everywhere we went in Athens... If I could do it again I would try to stay right at the base of the acropolis. But this hotel provided us with a shuttle to the port to catch our ferry. The hotel is really the Argo and the Anita and they manage both. A little hard to find at first from Piraeus Port, but once we figured it out we were fine. Good location if you are leaving Athens to go to the Islands. Just 5-10 minuts walk to the Pireaus Harbour

Hotel Argo, Pireus. Rent, ganska små rum, men prisvärt. Vänligt bemötande från personalen. Ger skjuts till morgonfärjor, uppskattat för morgontrötta. Ca 10 min avstång till färjor, airport bus, och tåg in till Aten.

Vi bokade hotellet som första natt efter flyget till Aten. Vi ankom 04.00 och receptionist fanns på plats. Vi var oroliga vad vi skulle hamna pga vad vi faktiskt betalade, men det visade sig vara ett billigt och bra alternativ om man ska bege sig till öarna dagen efter!

du får det du betaler for og litt til :) rommet var som forventet i den prisklassen, enkelt og greit og helt kurant når man stort sett kun er der for å sove og/eller hvile ut. eneste negative jeg kan nevne er at sengen er litt hard og det er bare en stikk-kontakt i hele rommet, litt brysomt har man flere strømkrevende ting med seg, flere telefoner, […] pc, etc.. ellers var jeg veldig fornøyd. fantastisk hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale (spesielt en eldre mann i resepsjonen på kveld/natt). åpent og kjapt internet uten tillegg. maten på hotellet er så som så, anbefaler heller å bestille utenfra, billigere og bedre og blir levert til rommet om ønsket. ingen problem å komme seg rundt i området heller, ikke langt å gå til taxi kø, men hotellet bestiller bil hvis du spør dem. alt i alt, jeg var der i 3 uker, hadde en fantastisk tid der og kan ikke vente til jeg har sjangsen til å reise tilbake, fortsatt så mye å se å gjøre :) อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Trevligt hotell med bra priser. Härlig hotelldirektör som "fixsr allt". Bara 10-15 min lugn promenad till Naxos-färjan. Området känns lugnt. Vi fick hjälp med att köpa biljetter på kvällen; fanns att hämta ut i receptionen på morgonen, smidigt (kostade 2-3 euro extra, men det var det värt). Bra frukost i tid lagom till avgångarna Rekommenderas.

Vi sov der før vi skulle ut på øyene, og var så fornøyd at vi sov der når vi kom hjem også! Koselige rom, hyggelige folk og veldig okei beliggenhet i pireus, man må kunne gå litt, så er man ung og sprek så er dette bra til en god pris!

Ihan ok muutaman päivän yöpymiseen.

Vi fikk et hotellopphold som svarte til hotellets opplysninger på internett. Greit rom. Rent, hyggelig betjening. Betalte ekstra, ca kr 80 for frokost dette innkluderte transport til fergen neste dag. Supert tilbud. Rom ut mot gate, men ikke sjenerende støy da vi hadde lukket dør og aircondition på 19grader. Confort sommaire mais propre. Très pratique pour embarquer vers les Iles. (10 mn à pied des quais) Accueil sympa à toutes heures avec renseignements en plus. Je recommande.

très bien en liaison directe avec l'aéroport par le bus et proche des quais pour partir aux cyclades (même une navette gratuite est disponible) chambres petites mais confortables

Alt fungerte. Lett å finne fra flybussen, og ikke minst: Tlbud om gratis frakt til og fra båt-terminalene!

L'état de l'hôtel et la chambre sont moyens, mais l'accueil est bon et le transfert gratuit vers le port est pratique !

We had arranged a trip to one of the Greek islands but the flight made us spent a night in Pireus. We choose Argo hotel mainly because of the price. We will recommend the hotel for a short term stay. Don't know if I wanted to stay there for a whole week or so - but on the other hand we didn't lack anything.

The hotel was clean and not too expensive, and close to the harbor. We went out shopping in the evening, the area around the hotel was far better than what we experienxed in Athens-Omonia three weeks later. The most negative was the hard mattresses and pillows in the beds.

Hotellet ligger greit til i forhold til videre fergereiser til de greske øyene. Hyggelig betjening og rene rom. Riktignok intense farger på rommene vi hadde, men alt matchet med vegger, gardinger og sengetepper... Gangavstand til fergene og til havn og shoppingområde. Vi spiste ikke frokost på hotellet, da fergen gikk ganske tidlig og vi hadde allerede […] ordnet transport. Men dersom du spiste der, fikk du fri transport med hotellbilen ned til havnen. Bra och effektiv service. Bra utgångsläge för start på öluff i Grekland. Trevlig personal. Små men fräscha rum.

Ett litet och billigt hotell, funkar för en natt om dom övriga gästerna är tysta. Hotellet är väldigt lyhört och när vi var där var det ett gäng Amerikanska ungdomar som förde liv och var allmänt stökiga.

Bon hotel pas cher, très bien pour une nuit avant de prendre le bateau, le Pirée est à 10 min à pied. Le personnel est aimable, et l'hotel est ouvert 24h/24.

Adequate for one night when you're planning on taking the boat out to the greek islands from Piraeus.

Difficile à trouver à pied, car les rues n'affichent pas leur nom! Mais hotel très sympa pour une nuit étape entre avion et bateau. Personnel de nuit très sympa. Hotel propre et très calme bien que situé à 10 minutes à pied du port. Nous y retournerons surement!

Boa localizacao, proximo ao Porto de Pireu e excelente preco visto a boa qualidade do hotel.

Très bien situé pour prendre un ferry (Cyclades) et calme la nuit. Proche de l'arrêt de bus (X96) depuis l'aéroport. Nous étions très satisfaites.
