Rodeway Inn Casino Center in Lake Tahoe was a little gem of a Hotel we found after being snowed in. The room was clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and the bed was very comfortable! We will stay there again... on purpose!

A bit of a dump. Alright for just passing through, but I'm sure their are nicer places for close to the same amount. Noisy parking lot all night.

The hotel is very good and clean. Everything looks like new. We had a great time here and the prices are affordable. The only problem we had was with noise. There is no noise from the street, but from the other guests passing by your door. It's not the hotel's fault. We woke up several times at night with people screaming and laughing in the corridor... […] probably drunk. We stayed here before and we didn't have problems. We chose this hotel because they allowed dogs and only charge per stay so it was the best deal. We can't complain, the staff was friendly and gave us suggestions for activities and coupons for restaurants and ski rentals. The room was nothing fancy, just simple, clean and warm --more than I would expect for such a low price. The shower was clean and […] had nice pressure. We were traveling on a budget and they even brought in a microwave and fridge for us, for no extra charge. When we first arrived there were little welcome packets that had free samples and coupons as well. The room also had a little balcony which was nice since it snowed one of the days we were there. The breakfast was basically waffles, eggs and potatoes. The eggs had sausage mixed in, so not the best for vegetarians. there was also cereal and juice. Fresh and filling, but again just simple which makes sense for this economy. The hot tub was warm, but the jets didn't work and it was very rough and kind of scratched my bathing suit. The pool was totally out of commission. There was covered parking which was great for not getting snow piled on your car. The location was great, right down the block from the main drag, including the heavenly Gondola, but far enough to be quiet. When we were walking around I noticed some of the other hotels that were in the same price range seemed old and dilapidated. I enjoyed my stay at the Roadway Inn. The location is great. The staff was plesant and helpful. Breakfast was not fancy but certainly hearty. I'd recommend it.

For the price I paid, I couldn't have asked for more. The front desk was friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the heat worked fine and the continental breakfast was better than most hotels at that price range. My only complaint involves the owner's kids. They were playing in the building where we stayed; in the hallways and on the stairs […] making some noise and getting in the way when I was loaded down with ski gear. Friendly staff but the heater in the room barely worked and it was frigid in the room upon arrival

Location is good, breakfast ok but eating area to small for the amount of people they accommodate, rooms are to small but somehow clean. Parking lot always full. Been to a different hotel payed less money and got a better service definitely won't go back to this place.

We attended a winter wedding and decided to book a hotel on our own instead of in the wedding block at one of the casinos in town to try to save some money. We were very pleased with our choice. our room was very comfortable and clean and right next to all of the casinos, plus it was half the price and included a nice, little breakfast buffet with scrambled […] eggs, sausage, belgian waffles, cereal, juices, coffee and oatmeal. Some of the guests who ended up at the blocked casino rooms told us they were disappointed at the quality of the hotel they stayed in for the price (double what we paid) and that they had to buy breakfast - nothing included. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The place was packed full because of the ski season. My room was small but I expected that because of the GREAT DEAL on the price WITH free wireless internet. One block away, people were paying 5-10 times the price I was for an overnight stay, so I didn't mind. A short walk to the lake, the smell of trees wafting […] in through my bathroom window, and quieter than I had expected from a full hotel. The walls were so thin, but people were respectful. I've stayed at the Rodeway about 50 times. This last time, the bathroom in our room was dirty. Will probably start looking at alternatives now.

Don't expect a casino at this place. It's not that. Casinos are up the street through a questionable neighborhood. The room was just a room. Not a picture on the wall. No much of anything. The shower never got really hot and in order to heat the bathroom up in the morning, the room had to be really hot. The smoke alarm in our room hung by a wire. There […] is no indoor spa or pool, which would have been nice after skiing. On the plus side. Breakfast is good and it's cheap. The room was clean, although very dated. It's pretty quiet and the gondola is a short walk away. There is a bus that comes by, but not often. If you're looking for cheap, this is it. We arrived very late but the hotrl staff was still in the lobby, check in took 2 min. Room was ok, big enough, clean. Breakfast was better then most hotels in this range (eg. Scrambled eggs, waffles). 3 min walking to casinos, 5 min walking to the ski lift

This was perfect and close to the casinos, good price and one of the more affordable in the area. I would definitely return.

We were coming up to Tahoe for a quick little getaway. This room was perfect for us. It was clean, close to the shopping areas and casinos, it was a quick can ride after a night of drinking at vex. I would def recommend this for anyone who's looking for a quick cheap getaway. I will def be coming back.

The hotel/inn was conveniently located and affordable. The room was a little beat up, but it was clean and the price was right. The location is also tough to beat, and the staff was very friendly. We needed a cheap, and fun place to stay. It was great and they didn't disturb our room when we did not want it.

I paid for a room with two Queen beds. But when I arrived with my daughter, they gave us a room with two full-size beds. The wireless was not working, not able to connect. I finally have to go to office and get a cable to connect. Then, late at night, we found out that the tub has no stopper. Can't take a bath without a stopper. We stayed here for two nights. The location was great and the room was clean. Not a fancy hotel, but very good for the price. Plus, a very good breakfast in the morning. We would recommend.

I needed a room at the last minute and found this hotel for a very low rate that included free breakfast and free internet. The room I had was kind of small and not that nice, but far exceeded my expectations for the rate paid. Everything was clean and worked well - just kind of cheap and old. Great location near lake, casino's and skiing.

The hotel location was extremely convienent, especially on New Years weekend. The only thing I wish the hotel room had was a fridge and/or at least a microwave and the beds aren't all that comfy either. That was kind of a bummer to us but other then that, we had a great experience. The hotel staff was super friendly!

The hotel was filled with party goers who didnt go to bed and were noisy all night. The hotel didn't cope withe the numbers for breakfast and queues deterred us from eating at the hotel. Very small and basic rooms which were very very expensive - maybe because it was New Years eve.

The room was filthy, the phone did not work and the front desk staff was rude. It is walking distance to the clubs and downtown and why we stayed, but I will not be staying there again.

We took the queen non smoking shower, the room was "tiny". We were able to upgrade to standard queen, the room was significantly bigger with balcony. You need to look on casino inn website to see the difference in print.

Does everything right, with a great breakfast, close to the action of Stateline, 5 minute walk to Heavenly or a 30 minute drive to Sierra at Tahoe or Kirkwood. This is my #1 budget location for South Lake Tahoe and I've stayed at 95% of all the hotels in the area over the years.

Rooms are small in size otherwise everything is perfect.

The room was clean but small. The queen bed was so firm that sleeping was difficult. It was one of the hardest beds I have ever experienced. The window was directly above the wall heater/AC with the curtain covering both window and heater/AC. So if the curtain were closed to cover the window it also covered the heater/AC. It was a bad design and a safety […] hazzard. The breakfast was only carbs -pastries, toast, cereal, and waffles. The waffles were good, but any kind of non-carb would have been preferable. It's not a new Hotel but they appear to be keeping it well maintained. We arrived late on what was a very slow night and the desk clerk (Mike) was kind enough to upgrade us to a larger room. Breakfast was actually a hot breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles plus the usual cold things you'll find at other hotel's continental breakfasts. Room was clean and […] bed was comfortable. This is a motel split on both sides of the road. The bed was too hard for me, but many might like a hard bed. The rooms are small but OK. We were moved to a room with a King size bed which makes the room feel smaller. I think that this was the best buy I've found at Tahoe mid-week. This was our second time staying here and it was a good experience both times. The pool and hot tub were being re-surfaced but they offered the use of the hotel next door's facilities so that was nice. And agree with others that the breakfast was better than most for the price of this stay. A nice motel with very accommodating staff. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Would consider staying here again if we're ever in the neighborhood.

Worn down and kind of a dump. Fairly clean but really below average on all counts. Breakfast better than expected with both eggs and potatoes.

My family & I were very pleased with Rodeway hotel. The staff was very courteous,helpful,friendly. I would highly recommend.

stayed there last year and liked it then too. were visiting friends and found it centrally located to them and all the other places we visited there.

The room was clean, the bed was OK, the TV was good, breakfast was adequate, location was quite good but two blocks away from most of the eating and shopping places which was OK because it was quiet at night. The price was fair.
