We stayed for 4 nights during a move. It was supposed to be a treat. It was a complete disappointment. The room was ok a few stains on the carpet, worn... sofa, and it had a funny smell. We were up and out early the next morning for day two of the move. We returned late to the hotel this time when we entered our room it smelt like someone had just had a cigarette in the room. I called the front desk and they said they would investigate. After half an hour they finally said they could find no evidence of anyone smoking but would change us to another room. It was now 11 so we decided to open the window and sleep. The next morning while having breakfast in our room it started smelling strongly of smoke, it was coming under the connecting door from the room next door. I went down to the front desk and got someone to come up. When we got off the elevator she saw the do not disturb sign on the neighboring room and said she could not knock on their door. That sign had been on the door the entire time. She did come in our room and agree that they were clearly smoking next door and that our room stank despite the open window. They said they would send someone up to help move us and with the new keys. We waited over half an hour and then went down to the desk. He said oh sorry we have been busy with check outs!!! No one ever apologised they just kept saying this was a no smoking hotel so it wasn't their fault.
