some let down parts means its not top of my list to stay in again. Firstly the good: Staff, room itself, location is great if you want to be part of the hustle in Amsterdam, not so if you would like some peace and quiet. Wonderful. Room was quite comfortable, food was great, service excellent all in an outstanding location.

The location of the hotel is great. It is very convenient to walk most places, catch a tram, or walk to the train station. Our room had a view of Dam Square, which was great. a room at the front means noise! thankfully plenty of eating places nearby to have breakfast as very exspensive in hotel.

Only flaw with this choice of hotel was the outside noise, especially if you lie to get a nights sleep! The cafe as described in website was quite exspensive.

Great location but tired looking room for the money {no bathrobe or slippers as shown on website}. At check-in asked if we wanted b'fast the next morning. We said that we'll decide in the morning. We were told that if we book it now it was 24E but would be 30E in the morning! For such a prestigious hotel this is shocking! bang on dam rak this is very central 15min walk from central station. reception could be a bit friendlier. dont be taken into the offer for an executive room, ask for extra child bedding before you go so dont get charged extra.food is expensive. make full use of the lobby internet tho very slow. rate it as 4star not 5.noisy around but convenient. concierge […] is helpful. great hotel if you can mange to get good rates. nh barbados looked good too and is closer to the station. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This hotel is totally overrated- not Even close to 5 stars. Very worn down, extremly lousy/expensive internet and average service Stay away!

Very nice and historic, wonderful location, not sure I would rate it as 5 star in terms of ammenities and I also thought it was somewhat pricey. Everyone was quite professial except the concierge, The second I checked in they just looked at me and never raised a finger to help me. I thought this was a five star hotel. When It was time to leave they offered to call me a cab. I said you dont need to because they are four cabs outside. They said you dont want to use those cabs outside because they […] dont give you an honest price. I said I thought it was 45 euros to the airport, they responded that that is standard but the cabs outside will charge you more. So I said fine call me a cab but we are in a hurry, they said they will be there in 5 minutes. I waited outside for 10 minutes and finally talked to one of the cabs waiting and asked how much to the airport? He responded 45 euros and that was standard. I said why are the concergie inside saying you will charge more? He stated that it was because they refuse to give them 10 euros. So unprofessial and I will no longer stay at this hotel. 5 star hotels are suppose to be for the customers not for the staff to try to stuff there pockets that is why we pay extra for it. In General i would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the convenience of being in the center of Amsterdam. I think if the hotel pays a bit more attention to certain details it would improve immensely. The location is superb for an Amsterdam visitor within walking distance of everything around the center. Area was safe as is the whole city. Rooms where big and comfortable. The not so good parts: The mattress in our room was really unacceptable, again i would expect a 5* hotel to pay more attention to these sort of details Breakfast was ridiculously expensive and did not live up to either the 5* rating nor its price, I would not get it even for half the price. We took a taxi from the hotel to go to a restaurant and then another to return after our dinner. The taxi from the restaurant to the hotel charged us 2/3 of the price of the one we took from the hotel. Needless to say, we did not get a taxi from the hotel again. Great for New Year at Dam Square. Nice hotel, would stay again. Beware seperate building/'wing' - does have the better quality rooms but feels odd...

we were very comfortable and felt that the hotel provided us with a wonderful room with a breathtaking view and we felt very welcomed. The staff even sent us complimentary chocolates as a gift for my birthday.

Excellent food, service and location. More expensive than expected.

One of the best locations in Amsterdam with 5 star service and excellent friendly helpful staff. I stay at this hotel whenver I can in Amsterdam. Definitely my choice of hotels in or around Central Station. A little pricey but worth the money if you want a clean and warm hotel in a perfect location.

Location is key at Krasna. Worth everything to stay here. Not the best hotel, not charming like the canal hotels, but it's right on Dam Square, close to everything.

The hotel is in a good location, just off Dam square, but checking in took a while with few staff on duty and problematical customers in front of us. There were silverfish in the bathroom and initially only 1 tea bag (in a double room) with the brewing facilities, which wasn't good. On the second day at 4pm housekeeping still hadn't visited, and when […] they did later they left the bathroom waste bin without a bin bag. The room was a reasonable size and quite nicely appointed, but the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. In the morning we only had about 10 TV channels (1 in English) rather than the 50+ that were there in the evening. Overall a very mixed, and disappointing stay for the grade of hotel อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This place is perfectly located for a quick sight seeing trip around Amsterdam. It is very reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend not taking recommendations from the concierge for dinner destinations, we unfortunately did so for our 2 nights dining = terrible.

Great place, I booked at the last minute and we got a massive clean room. Breakfast and room service were amazing, would definitely come back some day!

Always return to the Kras either in the hotel or one of its apartments. Its close to everything and within two blocks by tram to almost anywhere.

I travel to this city each year, so far this was the best hotel that I have ever stayed at.. Great service, happy people..

Location of this hotel is its forte. Right in the heart of the shopping streets and back of hotel is Red-Light district. Eateries are all around the hotel. Central Station is just 10mins walk away. Tram stops nearby too. Perfect location. Interior doesn't feel like typical 5-Star hotel. I would rate it a 4-star hotel instead. THE ROOM WAS BAKING HOT COULD NOT GET AIR CON WORKING FOR 2 DAYS, GOT LOCKED IN THE LIFT IN AS IT BROKE DOWN FORCED DOORS OPEN SO WE WERE LUCKY TO EVENTUALLY GET OUT, WE DID RING SECURITY BUT GOT TO CLAUSTOPHOBIC IN THERE SO WE COULD NOT WAIT ANY LONGER. Was an overnight (Saturday) trip. LARGE wedding party in the ballroom (with a very LOUD band), but (amazingly) no noise in my room (I'm not sure which section of the hotel I was in; my room was on the 2nd floor off of Elevator 5). great location. was expecting room to be rather run down based on other reviews but only mirror in bathroom needed upgrading. no shower curtain just half a shower wall so water was all over the floor. staff was helpful. overall a bit pricy but worth the great location!

Great location, very clean, we will go back again

Overall a good hotel in a great location, not really that 'grand' but nothing thats a real problem other than the temperature of the shower in our room which in an instant would turn from warm to scalding hot then to cold! There were a few screams from the shower. Friendly staff

this was the WORST DUMP i have ver checked into...and promptly departed. I never even checked out as it was pre-paid...but i left the Hotel within 15 mins of checking in. The hotel is TIRED and the room was DISCUSTING! take it off your list!!

I last stayed at the Krasnapolsky some twenty years ago. It is now under new management, greatly expanded and renovated and the room I had was SIGNIFICANTLY larger than any other hotel I have stayed at in Amsterdam: highly recommended.

I spent few days with my family during our latest vacation. They have a very professional and friendly staff. well maintened rooms. Definitively, a good value for your money.
