Would have been a good value hotel if it wasn't for the laminate flooring not properly mounted and the need to pay a £20 deposit just to have a tv remote.

Absolutely disgusting hotel: underwear in the stairwell, graffiti in the elevator, guy at the front desk was a pretentious jerk- no help what so ever....basically worst hotel I've stayed at. DO NOT STAY HERE

Perfect. Small single for GBP29.00, they gave me a double with balcony and ensuite. Tv was new, hooked up a ps3 and laptop, internet was a little slow but nothing major. Bathroom was brand new and worked perfectly, very modern. Then room was spacious with enough room for suitcase etc... Only bad thing is the rooms are not sound proof. The room heater […] is not warm enough a winters night unless you leave it on full. Comfortable, great location, needed to be in marble arch the following day. There are tons of restuarants and bars and pubs around. hyde park around the corner.... Lift to all floors. Reception was very polite and helpfull. free shampoo and soap. Bed sheets weren't completely clean, I had to ask for another, but they changed it no problem. Noise from other rooms and the main road are the main problems. Good points: staff were great - friendly / helpful, hotel is convenient (less than 2 mins from paddington) and cheap. Toiletries, tea/coffee and good TV options included. Bad points: very run down. had to step around building/cleaning material (wood panels, hoover etc) on way to room; floor boards creaky, carpets ripped, walls dirty. Room itself was […] dusty, bedding starchy and itchy, and very dated. Cups were chipped and full of dirt/dust. shower was just a slow drizzle. Hotel is directly above tube station so you can hear/feel trains running every 5 mins. Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The heater didn't work for the first night. Went to reception and the guy said he is the only one at reception and cant leave the reception. The rooms were stuffy. But the bathroom was clean. I wont recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, basic but clean. There was still renovations ie painting, in process but not inconvenient. I would stay there again but mainly for the breakfast in the restaurant next door!!

The location was good, hotel was very basic, but it served the purpose I required it for. The free continental breakfast was very basic, this involved the choice between cornflakes or bread/toast, cheese slices and selection of jams! The […] only downside to the room was that the thermostat knob was missing from the radiator which meant the room was really cold at night as I couldn't control the heat. Smelly room with awful smell but perfect shower and toilets. Super slow lift but there's a lift which is a good point but until 4th floor if you aren't staying in 5th floor. Hotel was lovely. Customer service was good and the room was really pretty and had everything I needed!!!! It was located in a great area right off the Jules Joffrin métro stop and was very conveniently located to an amazing boulangerie where they have 1€ baguettes every morning! Would absolutely look for this hotel on my next trip.

Had to carry luggage up 4 flight of cramped stairs. Badly lit. Cigarettes and trash outside balcony. Room was sauna hot and no way to turn it down. Bathroom sink doesn't drain well. The only plus is it's near paddington station. There may be better place for less nearby.

London is so large, that the key is to stay near an underground station. In that regard, this hotel is great because Paddington Station is one block away. So you have underground, Heathrow Express, and trains to all over England one block away. Many shpos and restaurants in the immediate area. On arrival the first impression of this hotel was poor to say the least, the carpets looked as if they would fall apart if they were cleaned. The hotel was in a good place. The undergound was 5min walk from the hotel. The manger meant was very poor, i work in a 2ster hotel so i no a little about hotels i payed for the hotel and breakfast but still have to pay 5.00 pounds I didn't. Rooms where clean but can be butter.

Having to stay away from home as part of my job I have stayed in many hotels in my time, but this has to be the worst hotel I've stayed in in my life. Room up 7 steep flights of stairs (no lift, or offer to help with bags). Room was TINY, no lamp or any clothes storage. Bathroom had a broken toilet seat, a tiny shower that was either boiling or freezing (no middle ground). Would never ever stay again.

We found the hotel to be great for the price. The only issue we had was the shower rod was broken and the lift took a while to reach the top. Breakfast was good, not a huge selection. The location of the hotel was fabulous - only a minute walk to Paddington Station. We were happy for the money we paid.

I was looking for an affordable place that wasn't too questionable. The breakfast was the only thing that was sketchy. Other than that, the room was great, I even had a tiny balcony and the bathroom was at least clean. No major problems. Just what I needed.

The hotel itself looked good from the outside. I was in the annex a few doors down so i have no opinion on the actually interior of the main hotel. My room was on the 3rd floor. I had very narrow, steep stairs to climb with 3 bags to get to it. It would be no good to anyone if they werent fit and healthy. Even i was out of breathe and i go to the gym […] everyday. The room was simple which is all i needed cause lets face it the hotel room is where u sleep and nothing more. It was clean and tidy, so no complaints at all. Location was a couple of underground stops from where i needed to be so it was ideal. Just 300 metres from Paddington Over & Underground stations. Perfect. reserved room was not available on arrival, led to another building and climbed 7 flights with luggage to small, hot, cramped rooms. Next day moved to correct room. Awful awful awful. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in, unhelpful staff, horrible room and elevator was out of order for the 3 days we were there.

Whilst the location was good the quality was the worst we experienced in the month we were in UK. Holes in walls and storage of goods in areas designated for use by guests were unwelcoming sights.

Despite this hotel being in an ideal spot and the rate being somewhat reasonable, I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are desperate. It is true that they offer a free breakfast but much of the hotel is in extreme disrepair (although not unsafe) and even our box springs were ripped. Repairs in our bathroom could be seen held together with packing […] tape. Situated near Paddington station it was easy to connect with the wonderful London transit system. Fortunately, we spent most of our time visiting elsewhere. The staff was agreeable and helpful when needed and the connected Italian restaurant did offer a discount. I got to the hotel and was instantly dissapointed. It is a hole in the wall hotel. We checked in and went up to the room. It was horrible! The hallway smelled and there where holes all over the walls. The floors were filthy and we had to check for bed bugs.
