It was wonderful, very clean and comfortable. Easy in and out to freeway, and the steakhouse is 1 block away and very nice inside. Parking was easy and safe. Continental breakfast was more than enough. Definitely recommended.

Very good experience. Staff was friendly / helpful. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Wifi was intermittently working. Breakfast was good quality, nicely presented and quite tasty. I'd stay here again.

Very comfortable. The hotel is clean, comfortable, well located, the only downside was that the shower water was too cold and too little. The pool also has ice water, but the rest of the hotel and service are the best

I was pleased with my experience. It is close to SFSU where I was visiting my son, and there aren't many hotels in the area. I felt safe and the property was quiet. the breakfast waslvaried and the staff helpful. I will stay there again.

The staff at this hotel really went out of their way to accommodate my family during a recent 5-day stay at their property. They went out of their way to get my senior parents in an adjoining room, and aunt, uncle and cousins in the room across the hall. They brought us a microwave promptly after we requested it, and even brought a VCR to the room for […] our kids when we realized we'd forgot the cables for ours. Breakfast was amazing! Great food, great quality, a different entree selection every day. Cookies in the afternoons and free newspapers all day long were a nice touch. The kids LOVED the indoor pool! The covered parking garage was much appreciated as we arrived during a downpour! (Not all parking is in the garage, but we were lucky enough to get a spot in there during the majority of our stay.) Location was perfect for us - just 15 minutes from the Olympic Club Golf Course where we were attending a wedding. Lots of food selections within walking distance for lunch and dinner (GREAT Chinese food right next door!), and just a mile from the BART, which we used when we went to the city. Even though this hotel was right next to a hwy, rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. And a major police station sits right behind the building, which adds to peace of mind. It was a great hotel, wonderful and helpful staff. We ate at Vals two out of the four nights we stayed in Daly City - great place!

If you're coming to town to visit friends, family or a college student attending SFSU, this is a great place to stay. Unlike hotels in the city, this nice, quiet hotel has FREE parking and a quiet urban neighborhood. You can leave the windows open at night and not be annoyed by city noise. It's a 2 minute drive to Daly City BART, where you can park […] your car and venture into downtown. OR, you can hop right on to Junipero Serra and go straight to Golden Gate Park, the Haight and the Golden Gate Bridge/Presidio recreation areas. The hot breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was uniformly friendly, helpful and attentive. Excellent value In Daly City 10 mins south of SF and easy access to hotel and to to downtown SF via 280 Fwy. Free parking and breakfast included.

Our family of four was very comfortable in our room and it is a short walk to the BART station. We will definitely be back.

We spent the day roaming London at the Dickens Fair and then came to the Hotel. 12/10/11 We had a little trouble finding the right road , but eventually found the hotel. We would stay again if in the area. Nice staff and good breakfast.

I was very happy with this hotel. The room was a good size and very well kept. Not sure if this is a newer property or recently remolded. The bed was comfortable. A little trouble finding it off of the freeway. Very nice and helpful staff. Fast food nearby. Ask for a room away from the street. Sirens woke me at 6 am. Very clean. I would stay there again.

Better value near SF-much more expensive in town-staff was very knowledgeable about public transportation and had good maps available. Not a bad continental breakfast either-which we didn't know about beforehand

This hotel was clean and comfortable for the price. We only stayed one night so we did not take advantage of the amenities. Easy freeway access. Now for the not so good stuff. Very noisy at night. Mostly guest noise though but there was an annoying popping sound coming from the refigerator every so often. The shower water is set at a specific temperature. […] That is not so good for people who like a hot shower as opposed to warm. This was a very nice overnight stay. We were on a one night stay having been dropped off by friends from a wine country vacation on our way to the airport. We had an easy walk to the BART station which took us to the pier and the airport the next morning. Great breakfast and a very clean, quiet, and inviting room

I had my doubts with being out of the city and driving places but this hotel was great. There is a little gym, indoor pool and good parking. There was also a korean BBQ place near by in a small grocery store, not to mention there are a couple other food places within walking distance. The BART and other public trans is nearby. We stayed in this hotel for five nights, and were generally very satisfied. The staff were helpful, the room was quiet, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Whether one drives or takes BART, the time to travel from Daly City to San Francisco (or back) is about 45 minutes, except at rush hour. I have only two, relatively minor complaints: 1. In […] the breakfast, omelettes that appeared to be vegetarian were discovered to contain tiny pieces of ham. I'd like to see clear labeling wherever there is the possibility of such confusion. 2. The Internet connection was a frequent source of annoyance. After submitting the password that was provided by the front desk, we would invariably get the following error message: "The server at secure.wayport.net is taking too long to respond". Whenever we reported a timeout or any other network problem, the recommended solution was always the same: "Reboot your computer". This generally worked, but I've never stayed in a hotel where I needed to reboot my computer multiple times per evening to be able to access the Internet. Great for families. Everything seemed new or fairly new and clean! Not the greatest of nhoods, but still able to walk to a few restaurants nearby and even walked to a movie theater on the last nite of stay. The hotel is about 15-minute drive from the heart of San Francisco. But I don't mind the trip because it's like coming home at the end of a busy day. We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn and the service and cleanliness at breakfast time was outstanding. Wish there was more of a seperate sitting area in our room.

The restaurant located on the same block had wonderful food and was right on the water's edge. Very nice stay.

I found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgable about travelling around San Francisco on transit and even suggested we bring jackets to go to Fisherman's Wharf! This hotel is great for families or young adults on a budget. My boyfriend and I stayed here one night to attend a wedding in Daly City and reception in SF. The surrounding area is nothing exciting, but it's a great "home base" for getting to San Francisco (you can drive or take BART). I recommend taking in some of the local Asian cuisine in the area if you can (maybe some good dim sum!). We stayed 2 nights for family vacation. The location of hotel is good to go both airport and downtown SF. Hotel is in good quality with clean room. My kids likes hotel's breakfast.

From check-in to check- out was very good. The room was very spaceous and comfortable. Something very important to me is the comfort of the bed, it was very comfortable. It only took 10 min to get into San Francisco, easy acces to the freeways. I would stay there again, and recomend the stay to family and friends.

This hotel is a hidden gem located in a place you wouldn't expect. The staff is professional, yet friendly. The room was great, with a impeccably made king-sized bed, a sofa and a spacious work station. I felt very comfortable and somewhat pampered. We had a guys foursome in San Fran for one night for a golf outing before heading south. Stayed here because it was close to our course for the next morning. Everything met (or exceeded) our expectations. I'd stay here again.

I was surprised how convenient this location was to all the things on my list to see. It is easy access to the highway and provided a good location to use as home base while exploring in a variety of directions.

Have stayed here before... always nice and clean and decor is nice and updated. Very quiet and parking is good unless you come back later....
