Great place to stay -- great breakfast and very helpful staff

The magnetic door lock system didn't work very well. The exercise room is very small and some of he equipment was broken. The pool and exercise room closed at 10 PM.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel prior to flying out at the Detroit Airport. Staff was friendly, Room was clean. Free Wifi. Close to airport. I would stay here again.

Our stay was great. Another couple came with us and we were talking about just staying for a relaxing get a way. We all thought it is wonderful and the people were great. We all loved that you can park your vehicle in your lot and we have transporation to and from the airport. The rooms were very clean Over all we were very satified.

Your hotel was not luxurious but most people don't need or require that. It was clean, decorated nicely, breakfast was great, service was excellent. big problem with air conditioner making a lot of noise so we were moved immediatley to another room. would definitly stay again.

The only thing I can complain about is that the bathroom was a little small. We had a very comfortable king size, and the pool and hot tub were great. It was nice to have a small bar/restaurant that was actually open past 12 noon and the breakfast the next morning was great. Good quality for the money. Hotel was a bit dated, but clean and well priced. Only complaint was breakfast - advertised that complimentary breakfast ended at 10. By 9:50 they started cleaning up - I was trying to make a waffle and the guy was hovering over me me, waiting for me to be done. At 9:55 they turned the lights off in the breakfast area. I have stayed here may times and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. You have the pool and hot tub plus a sauna and weight room. Pool tables are near the pool and also morning breakfast is free. It has a in house restaurant and bar..... Free internet access and daily news paper. I was stranded in Detroit Metro with my nine month old daughter after being pulled aside by security for having a baby bottle! I missed my plane at 7pm and was given a ticket for 7am. I found this hotel and got a cheap room expecting it to be a cheap hotel. I was suprised to find a nice, clean room with a comfortable king bed. For the price you're paying to stay at this hotel, I felt like I really got my money's worth. Clean, good location, and quiet.

The Best Western Gateway was very comfortable. The front desk staff were polite, helpful and efficient. The shuttle to/from the airport was on time and only took about 5 minutes each way... with a helpful driver. The bed in my room was wonderful - so welcome after international travel!! When checking into the hotel I found the girls behind the front counter very polite and helpful. It was late when I checked in and very tired and the girls were amazing.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is conveniently located for me when visiting friends in the area. The registration staff were polite and cooperative when there was a problem with information from hotels.com. The room was fine meeting my needs well.

This hotel room was extremely run down. The by-pass windows on this first floor room would not lock and the wind blew in around them. I had to put all the bathroom towels around the ledge to try to stop the draft. The room was so cold we did not sleep at all. The heater fan was unbalanced and made a racket every time it came on & the thermostat only […] went up to about 68 degrees. The shower head was leaking all over the wall - a simple fix but yet not done. We could hear every word our neighbour was saying to her apparently disobedient kids until they settled down around midnight. The room and atmosphere was nice. The breakfast however was absolutely the worst I've ever seen. Also, the hot tub in the pool area was disgusting and kept breaking. Other than that it was ok for the price.

This hotel was awful! The bedspread was horribly stained, there was no blanket to use instead, the sheets were tattered. I couldn't turn the heat down so the room remained stuffy and smelly. I was surprised that this hotel had large and spacious areas for their indoor pool and for their breakfast. However, I found that the restaurant had a very limited menu, and they did not offer everything on it up to closing at midnight. We enjoyed our hotel stay. The hotel was very clean. There are alot of things to do. The only complaint we have is that there was a seating area outside our room. I spent 1 week at this hotel.. just a get away.. It was great. And soooo very affordable. I would recommend it to anyone and I will definitely go back when I need another getaway :)

Hotel was very comfortable and the shuttle service was excellent. I would stay again and would recommend it to my friends.

My stay was pleasant. It was quiet enough for me to get some good sleep. The room was more than adequate. When I first arrived I noticed the sink was clogged up. When I washed my hands the water drained extremely slowly. I let the receptionist in front know about it and told them I'm in no hurry to have it fixed as I was tired and will just wash my […] hands in the bathtub. The next morning I told the receptionist that the TV remote control turns the heater and/off every time I change channels or adjust the volume. Nice, big rooms. Had microwave and fridge in room. Only downside is that many, if not all, rooms have a wall of windows that faces the indoor pool room and it can get loud later in the morning

I was there for 1 night to catch a flight out of DTW the next dat and it was fantastic..especially for the price. Room spacious, clean and Amanda at the front desk was particularly helpful.

This hotel was very good - I spent one short night there due to my airline itinerary. The shuttle to the hotel was very efficient - I only waited about 5 minutes. Front desk staff was pleasant and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised to have a whirlpool in my room. Breakfast looked good though I didn't have time to eat. Bad customer service - pretty rude attendant during check-in, didn't bother to mention where the room is mentioned. Same rudeness during check-out. Not sure why they had to be rude, 'cause it was a regular/simple check-in and check-out. The room interiors are dated. Hotel exterior almost looks like a motel. Great hotel with even better accomodations. Very clean and quiet. I think that you really get your money's worth when staying at this particular hotel. No, it's not a 500 dollar a night kind of hotel but it is a really nice hotel compared to what you are paying.

Good location, cleaning room. Good shuttle bus service. The options of breakfast are not as many as other hotels like Ramada.

The staff were super accomadating !!! The room was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfy with planty of pillows and fantastic shower. Have stayed here before and would not hestiate reommending it, especially if you are flying out of Metro Airport !!!

Not a bad place to stay over for a night and remain close to the airport. The shuttle arrived within minutes after a call confirming our arrival. The bed was adequate but could use an update. The continental breakfast was standard fare of eggs, cereals, muffins and bagels with a few fruits. We stayed here after evening arrival from Amsterdam on our way to NYC. Complimentary airport shuttle arrived fast, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, breakfast selection was good.

Great location for the hotel -- however, it lacks basic upkeep. Kinda dingy --- exceptionally small rooms (beds are full size - so if you're used to a queen, stay elsewhere). What a gem! This hotel is comfy with clean rooms, nice staff, a pool, spa, sauna and fully equipped fitness center. Free breakfast is make it yourself waffles, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, bagels, cereals, and scrambled eggs.
