the duvet was positively filthy - am so very glad i check when i got into the room. i would not put my dog on it - blood - yellow spots - dirt - and it smelled. The gal who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating.

Promised free Internet in room but it didn't work. A/C very noisy (old).

The hotel is nice enough and I enjoyed things about it, but there were problems and the staff was inconsistent and at times not helpful. The major issue i had was the Internet wi-fi in the rooms did not work. I am travelling so needed the internet a lot, and could not go to lobby each time I needed to use. I stayed there on a tuesday, reported issues, […] and came back on friday and issues still existed. Internet wifi flat out did not work in room at all. That made my trip harder as I had little time back at hotel. I reported this to management and thought I should at least get a free breakfast for the inconvenience, but they were rude and unhelpful. I was not yelling, i was calm and just said that seemed fair. I paid for a room with wifi for free in it and did not get it. They offered nothing. Also, they rarely answered the phone at desk. One time I had to call 4 times and let it ring for like 30 rings for them to answer at 9 pm. That is a bit much for a place that calls itself 4 star. I thought that the hotel was old, out dated, one wall of the room was entirely a sliding glass door opening to the outside which seemed unsafe and loud. Over all, I was not happy with the hotel at all.

Lovely resort at quiet end of town, we enjoyed our balcony overlooking the bush!

Understaffed, overpriced compared to other hotels in the area, breakfast was very ordinary, room service was ok at best.

The Chifley is broken up into several accomodation sections. Room quality can improve noticeably by spending as little as an extra $10.00 per night. I wish I had spent the extra funds. Although the room was clean and tidy its age was exposed by its walls etc. Pool, Bar and Dining areas 100%. As was the staff and all associated with the company.
