More 3 star than 4. My room had a very uncomfortable bed and old 21 inch TV. Bathroom was ok but towels were small.

Grandhotel Brno locates only 2 minutes to Brno main train station and oppoiste to Bus station. Walking distance to Spilberk Castle, Liberty Square (Náměstí Svobody), Green Market (Zelnak) and Cathedral. Clean and comfortable hotel room with excellent Wifi and wired internet connection. Very classic hotel.

Second time here, both times were great. Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast. A few minutes walk to the centre.

Otherwise you will be awoken at 4 am by the trams that start operations at that time and they are very noisy. Do not choose a pay in advance reservation. The breakfast is really good. The people are friendly. Parking is over priced as it is in frond of the hotel (outside) and about 19 euros per day. The room is ok, but the bed is small (single bed) the bathroom is fine.

Nice room, although the street noise in the early morning was a bit much, but then in Europe you're supposed to close the windows tight. Also, I don't think all rooms are equal, if you're travelling alone, see if you can get a room ending in 10.

Great hotel! Very clean, comfortable, very European. Loved high ceilings, towel warmer. The hotel restaurant was just superb, though reasonably priced. It was great to park a car in front of the hotel. I stayed in Brno for business, and cannot fault the location of the Grand, especially if you are travelling onward by Student Agency coaches - the pick-up and drop-off point is just across the road! The staff were friendly and helpful, only 2 downsides: 1) a lift was out of action, meaning a long wait sometimes, 2) no free internet in the rooms, wireless […] in lobby was not working. It was good to stay at this hotel for my b-trip. Very convenient location for airport and train. Hotel is old, but everything works fine. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good.

ideal for the one or two night business trip, and around the corner from the old town

This hotel is right across the street from the rail way station, and is extremely convenient. The breakfast is great, however the room was average at best. I could not get the air conditioning to work and had a hard time sleeping as a result. The building is old but serviceable and there was a lot of noise from the street.

The location is ideal - right in front of the bus/train station. The room is small even for European standard. Breakfast is served hot with lots of selections.

Stayed for two nights in September for visit to Brno fair before travelling further by train. The hotel is conveniently located just 50 metres from the station tram hub and the railway itself. The paid-for internet service was fast and stable, although costly. However the savings on calls I was able to make via Skype more than covered this outlay. As is often the case in Central Europe, the area around the railway station is not the cleanest or most welcoming of places, but in my opinion the advantages of the hotel outweigh any doubts about its surroundings. This was my third stay at the Grand Hotel in Brno, CZ. It is an older hotel but well maintained. The service staff was always courteous and helpful. Netter Service, sehr sauberes Hotel, gediegen renoviert, absolut in Ordnung für einen geschäftlichen Aufenthalt; Bedingt durch den gegenüberliegenden Busbahnhof und nahen Bahnhof sind die nach vorne gelegenen Zimmer bei geöffnetem Fenster laut, aber sonst gut schallisoliert. Resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig. Jeg fikk rommet med vindu til bakgården i første etasje, stille og rolig. Rommet var ryddig og rent. Hvis du forventer 5-stjerne standard, da er du på feil plass her.
