The Coex Intercontinental is located in Gangnam the trendiest area in Seoul. This is a very nice area of Seoul with many shops and restaurants... Usually when I come to Seoul I stay at this hotel or the Grand Intercontinental Parhnas located at the other end of the Coex Center.

An average stay at a premium price. Nothing outstanding. What was a turn off though was the room decor. I could handle the tree outline in the wallpaper, but that bright indoor carpet like green carpeting in the room is too gauche, if not gaudy. Frustrated that I could not get early check in even though I had written and verbal confirmation that this would be available. Internet was awful. Room was supposedly large by Seoul standards but definitely needed more storage space. We also found we couldn't regulate the room temperature as we would have liked. Outstanding bell service. Lobby looks stylish bu needs seating. Overall a very nice hotel.

I go to Seoul quite often and have stayed at a dozen other properties but none as nice as this. Although it's a hike to the bars of Kangnam and a cab to Itaewon it has all of the convenience of the coex mall and Hyundai shopping mall (10 stories of fine goods), and food court. You cannot choose a more convenient location as the COEX mega mall is just next door and many restaurants and bars are within short walking distance. You do want to give yourself about an hour and a half of transit time to and from Incheon International Airport each way. This great hotel is one of the stops and pick up points of KAL limousine bus.

I had a lovely stay at the Intercontinental. It was so convenient to be near the subway so that we could take in all the sights around Seoul easily. My family and I stayed at the intercontinental COEX for five nights while visiting Seoul. The hotel was beautiful with clean rooms, state-of-the-art gym, and they provided impeccable service. This was my family's first time travelling to Seoul, Korea. It was really helpful that the staff in this hotel were able to communicate in English. I was very happy with all the service they provided me and my family with. The front-desk and bell staff members were especially considerate. My mother and I are vegetarians and the bell man was able to […] help us locate restaurants offering vegetarian foods. Their front desk staff provided a third bed for my brother even without us asking. I thought that was great of them to be considerate of our comfort. The only reason why I gave the quality and service a 4 rather than a 5 is because when I visited their business center for computer access, it was not staffed. I tried to look for someone, but no one responded, so I just hopped onto the computer they had because I had to print out boarding passes prior the center closing. About 10 mins later, a lady approached me and said 'you know that computer service costs money, right?' I was a bit upset. I explained to her that I am okay with the cost but I could not find any staff anywhere, so I decided to use it and was going to tell the front desk after. She left in silence. She was the only bad experience I had. At least she waived the computer usage fee because she had no idea how long I was there for. Oh well, the rest was good. I've been to many good hotels but this stay exceeded all expectations. The service is outstanding. I was in Seoul for a conference; maybe, this is not the best location for those coming for sightseeing but in any case the subway is right next to the hotel, and taxis are very inexpensive, so we managed to see all interesting places in the city. Third stay in the hotel, and each stay has been more pleasant than the previous. Location is good and underground shopping mall is handy. Will definately come back on my next trip to seoul.

Conveniently located near COEX and subway station. Some good BBQ restaurants nearby to choose from. Our only choice whenever we're on business trips in Seoul.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Service was beyond great, room was spacious and overlooked the city. Everyone at the hotel made us feel like we were there only guests. Could not do enough for us. Staff in the Business Center called us by name everytime we entered. Would definately recommend and stay there again.

This hotel is right above COEX mall and Lotte duty free shop. It is very convenient for shopping.

Nice hotel, good location but controling the temperature in your room is near impossible. Because it was winter in Seoul, the temperature in your room is high. Intercontinental COEX is very convenient for access to the COEX convention center. While quiet and comfortable, the hotel has not been updated for a while and is beginning to show its age. Recommended for those with convention business. For other business in Korea there are better choices.

Youll be happy with this hotel. Large rooms and modern bathrooms. Good water Pressure, nice bedding- although a little firm. Directly above large shopping complex and close to subway. I spend 50 nights a year in a hotel room so I know what I am talking about when I say that this is my favorite business hotel in the whole world. Great location, great service, great rooms and phenomenal breakfast buffet. The service - from the front desk to the bell hops to the maids - is exemplary.

The guest room was extremely clean and was much bigger than I expected. The hotel sits right on top of one of the hippest indoor shopping arcades in Seoul. In addition to convenient shopping, the arcade has plenty of restaurants, from burger joints, a micro-brewery and Jackie Chan dim-sum to traditional Korean restaurants serving gut poking san nakji […] (live crawling squid). It even has an aquarium for the kids and a movie theater. Subway station is at the other end of the shopping arcade. Even though getting to the subway is a long walk, access is indoor and there are plenty of flashing shops to distract you. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art gym, indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, and even a tanning station. The COEX Intercontinental hotel is connected to the COEX exhibition center and the COEX mall, so I didn't even have to go outside in the pouring rain! Very professional staff and very clean and well kept. My only complaint was that the breakfast buffet (not included) cost almost 35 dollars! A bit steep for me.
