"Superior or standard room?"

I really like this hotel and the location is great. However, recently I treated myself to a superior room and it really did not match the standard room. It was slightly more spacious but the interior was old and the TV was a box set not the usual flat screen. Just a little moan , overall the hotel is of a high standard!

An excellent hotel in a perfect location.The hotel offers a high service and the room, although small is perfect for a weekend getaway to explore Shanghai! This was my third time staying in Shanghai. I stayed at the Equatorial for 3 nights.Absolutely love the location, really clean and upscale but also very close to a lot of local eateries. You have to make sure to explore around the hotel. Service was awesome except I found the front desk to be only ok, seemed I was putting them out by asking anything. Maid […] service was super, multiple times a day, very clean and modern hotel with a beautiful lounge. Inside the hotel is a little too pricey though, their buffet was barely average and they charge 258 RMB, wish I had asked the price first. A beer will cost 45-50 RMB in the lounge but I guess expected in a hotel like this. Bed was OK but really hard. 最初に案内された部屋のベッドが柔らか過ぎて、ハードマットレスをリクエストしました。すぐに新しい部屋を用意してくれて、禁煙のフロアでしたが、喫煙の部屋よりすべてにおいて若干きれいで、豪華なように感じました。

Sehr gut gelegen, sauber und freundliches Personal. Frühstück gut aber nicht so abwechslungsreich, relativ teuer. Das bestellte 3. Bett war nicht im Zimmer, wurde dann aber sofort aufgestellt, trotz später Stunde. Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.
