It was a perfect for seeing everything with an awesome view. The buffet was superb with variety of dishes. The room was clean, new, updated, with clean bedsheets, no smells in room, no bugs, no noise from other rooms. Carpets a bit worn down. Towels in shower where thick, clean & new. Entrance downstairs from the street seems rather small for this hotel. Check in on 17th? floor. I stayed on 68th floor for $105 a night. Best hotel for city views. I had a 5 minute irritating discussion with a 20 year old lady at reception that wouldn’t refund me 100 Baths for a call that rang through but the hotels telephones have too low a key sound so I could not remote access my other phone. I picked up the front desk phone & pressed a few keys & that phone also had no key pad sound. It didn't change her mind. I had to insist 5 times to speak with the manager who came out & gave me credit. I put in writing about these 2 people problems, their phones & paint peeling around pool & gave to a man on duty. My cell phone never worked in my room or other floors. Only on the roof top view room or lobby. Shower water was like a fire hydrant when I arrived at 2. Excellent location but problem in room maintenance on 68th floor as well. I had taken 2 rooms but the AC was not working in both the rooms - had complained, the engineer came worked on the AC for sometime but still AC was not cooling. Nevertheless the hotel is in good location they have a shuttle bus which runs every hour to shopping area.

The Baiyoke is one hotel where you would stay at just once simply for the experience, then probably not a second time. For that reason, please splurge and get a suite in the Space Zone. You will not enjoy the full experience staying lower than the Space Zone, and the non-suites at the Space Zone have small windows so you will not enjoy the height either. […] The hotel is old, and even facilities/deco in the suites are akin to 3-star hotels. Moreover, location wise it is not the best as the Baiyoke is not within comfortable walking distance to the metro or BTS; many other options in Bangkok are close to the metro/BTS and you will really appreciate that. While staying at the Baiyoke, I took the taxi all the time which is not the best option due to heavy traffic at all times during the day. The restaurant options are good, and so is the Fruit Buffet. There are four floors of shopping at the basement of the hotel, as well as a night market, but nothing to shout home about. It's also cumbersome to always have to take the elevator to the 18th floor lobby to connect to a second elevator up to your room, plus there are often long lines of tourists taking the same elevators up to the viewing gallery on the 78th floor. quite a bad experience for this time visit. I have been visiting this hotel each time i travel to Bangkok but after this poor service i had with Baiyoke Sky, I will think twice the next time. Lets start with the staff, The reception is on the 18th Floor, the street level has no ramp nor any assistance for the luggage. The reception staff was so cold, as if we had her at gun point and did not answer any queries. The next day we left the hotel at around 1 pm only to come back at 10 pm. The 'please clean my room' tag was clearly displayed on […] the door, when we enquired why the room was not cleaned, the floor housekeeping guy said there was no tag displayed, when we said that it was, he said HE WILL CHECK THE CCTV FOOTAGE FOR THE SAME and get back if he should clean the room - 4 stars on the brochure - 0 stars in actual. The common areas smelt so bad that you would not want to come back to the hotel. The towels smelt so bad the full bathroom had bad odour due to them, even after asking them for fresh towels - the same - medics can use them as vomit inducing agents. The concierge guy was reading a newspaper at 11 am, nothing wrong with him, when I asked him about the nearest metro (BTS) station he said, theres none nearby and just take a cab, without moving his eyes away from the newspaper and any other communication, we got down to the street level only to find that hotel has a free shuttle to a BTS station. I stayed 10 days at this hotel, and will never stay here again. The hotel is run-down and the rooms are very poorly maintained The toilet couldn't flush properly and the shower area got flooded each time we showered. The staff are pobably the worst I've ever encountered (and I have stayed in very many hotels all around the world!). They don't smile […] and are not at all friendly or helpful. Went there with my wife, We booked Superior Suit room in Space Zone, They offered us Twin Bed, Manager says they don't have any queen/king bed in any of their rooms suit, We also offered to downgrade us to normal room with Queen bed (without refunding any money) but manager was quite rude and was not ready to co-operate in any sense. Lobby is always full of tour groups, waiting forever to get to the lobby. On check in to the room, noticed stained sheets and pillows, it looked like the pillows had just been turned over from the previous stay. absolutely disgusting state was how I would describe the rooms. Do yourself a favour and pay more for a better hotel. Disgusting.

we stayed here for 4 nights and paid extra for the buffet breakfast - had the buffet breakfast on the first day and never again - it was the worst I have ever tried - although plenty of food options the quality of the food was revolting and inedible. The staff were untenable and rude, they have no interest in helping you in any aspect the hotel itself […] is very overcrowded and dated the rooms, although big are dated and dirty, bring your own towel as the ones supplied are terribly dirty - even when we requested new ones we got even dirtier ones. The shower is too small to stand underneath unless you are about 5 foot tall. Because it is the tallest building a LOT of day-tourists. They use the same elevators!!!! to busy. Rooms are ok (junior suite space deck)
