Holiday Inn Sheffield - เชฟฟิลด์

As a regular visitor to Sheffield for the swimming events at Ponds Forge this has become our hotel of preference. Good sized rooms, big beds and just enough of a walf to the pool to help settle the excellent breakfast. TV and Wify were on the blink this stay but sure only a temporary blip. Quiet so good sleep and warm enough to sleep well.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not to good.

I stay at a lot of hotels due to business. Unfortunately I was very dissapointed in this, as was my work colleague. The hotel is Very old and in desperate need of updating. This hotel was very hard to find also, due to the newer (and better) Holiday Inn Express being directly at the front... no surprise as you would want to hide this hotel! The hotel is unlike many Holiday Inns because it is in a lovely old listed building. The room was large and very comfortable. Food in bar was good. Breakfast was fresh and there was a huge range to choose from, staff were friendly and very helpful. When we went to check out there was no-one on reception and we waited several minutes before we decided […] to leave the key and leave. Later I received a voicemail asking when we were checking out and about charges for the car park. We have a blue badge and had parked in the disabled space, this was recorded when we checked in. A gorgeous building with a great bathroom! About 15 mins walk into the centre and plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely hotel and staff but woken at 12am with loud voices then again at 330am with drunken people outside our room vomiting in the hallway!!!!! Asked to be moved fir next night only to have a freight train go past very loudly and for a surprisingly long time at 10.30pm as we had young children it wasn't our favourite weekend break!!!!

was not to impressed with this hotel, the best thing about the hotel was the staff they was friendly and very helpful. The cleanliness of the room was not good, hair from the last people in the bath was not nice, pillow case still dirty,and dirty pillow case under the bed not a good find at all.

This is a friendly and nice enough hotel. Staff are helpful and accommodating. It is located fairly conveniently for the city centre but one could hardly describe the walk to town as pretty. It of course depends on your needs and it met ours for one night so no complaints. It is however 'tired'. A beautiful building with some great period features but […] in need of some tlc. I can't remember the last time I saw such an old tv in a hotel (or anywhere for that matter). Although clean, some of the carpets and furniture are in need of repair or even replacement. Very nice location. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the night auditor as we arrived at 3am and he was able to assist with no problems.

Very different from the usual chain hotel as it has period character and historic features, but has been refurbished to a good standard. The only downside to that is no air-con in the rooms, but we were staying in summer and it was comfortable enough. Location is quiet, close to city centre and convenient for transport links, but a bit of a walk to […] find other restaurants in the city centre. Buffet breakfast was good and decent value if booked with the room. It was worrying to look at from the outside but once inside it is in great condition and is very clean all round. The rooms have been renovated and they are working on the hallways now too. Bathrooms spotless Staff helped to ring different places of interest etc

It was very difficult to find the entrance road! We drove past it several times before working it out! Quite far from the city centre and not a particularly nice walk

Hotel is excellent, nicely decorated, parking very good, 10 min walk to city centre. Separate shower and bath tub! Got it very cheap through Hotel.com. Nothing negative to say, will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

Hotel was very nice, an old Victorian building, tastefully done, not like a lot of the modern hotels you get these days. Everything was good and as expected. Internet was implied as being included in the room rate in the "description" part of the website - at £3 per half hour I assure you it isn't! Also, I paid upfront on hotels.com but I was also […] charged on checkout as they apparently hadn't received the payment - upon checking my bank statement when I returned home I found I had been billed twice. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel had all the amenities which functioned well. Quiet, clean, secure, and comfortable. Helpful service and friendly. Walkable to all sites and train station although sometimes easier to take a taxi to and from the station if you have bags. The food was very good too, especially afternoon tea (High Tea) and the fish […] and chips in the bar. It's the old Railway Station Hotel and nicely upgraded in a wonderful old building. Great check in, gave us a bigger room as we had our young son with us, staff were so pleasant every time we asked for anything, nothing was a problem for them. The hotel is lovely, in the city but far enough away from the noise. If we return to Sheffield we will definately book this hotel.

The staff is very hospitable. The food was amazing. We had 3 people in our room and we were not crowded

It is 4 star hotel and it means restaurant and breakfast is expensive. We arrived late evening and we wanted to have dinner in the hotel pub but there was no pub but restaurent. The rooms are very noce.

The hotel did not feel like a 4 star hotel - our room did not have a minibar or air conditioning. Our initial room was also very very noisy due to the nearby road which has heavy traffic, but the room was exchanged to a quieter one. The breakfast was also quite poor and not well presented.
