The rooms was extremely small and the bed was not comfortable. The worst part was the neighborhood in which the hotel was located. Most of the restaurants and bars had only men for costumers and they were all smokers, so the businesses in the area were not fit for visiting. The location is very unsavoury, behind La Chapelle, and not really that close to Montmartre, as it claims. The rooms, although spotlessly cleaned by a lovely cleaning lady, are very very shabby, with torn stained curtains and nasty carpets. When we opened the door to go into the room, the door hit the end of the single bed. The single bed didn't really feel like a regular twin. It felt smaller. Overall not too bad. The location was ideal: not a far away walk from the local metro station and a 15min walk from the Gare du Nord. It is a diverse area, filled mainly with locals who stay out of your way if you stay out of theirs. The hotel is ok; helpful staff who spoke basic english. The lift is definitely a squeeze for two people (excluding the luggage) so if you stay on the top floor, like we did, prepare to be squeezed everyday. The rooms, I'm guessing from the buildings construction, are all quite small. Everything seemed like it have only just fitted, and was challenging to fit all the luggage and yourselves around the bedroom. The toilet and bathroom were separate rooms; the toilet is a squeeze if you want to sit down, and the bathroom is ok, just the shower is sometimes temperamental. The double glazing almost deletes the noise of the street below. For a weekend getaway, this hotel is perfect for it: good location, decent beds, decent breakfasts...just what you need. Tha staff was very nice and helpful. Our room the first evening was horrible! It was on the first floor facing the the street , so it had privacy glass outside of the window which was great however, the security shutters where only able to open about three inches and that was the only source of air for the room. No ceiling fan or air conditioning and […] it was 85-90 degrees in Paris. We could also hear every footstep and conversation outside our window, as well as smell anyone who was smoking outside. The bathroom was very small and I kept turning the shower nozzle off with my butt every time I turned around to rinse off. It made for a very comical evening. The staff was very helpful in moving us the next day to a different room on a higher floor, so we could open the window all the way . I bought a trip ad a hotel with breakfast included, but unfortunately the staff didn't let me take more than one croissant, my daughter has 5 years ad wanted a second croissant I've been told by the staff that I couldn't take more than one. Staff was wonderful! Very friendly & helpful! The breakfast was sufficient and the rooms superbly clean! Would definitely return! The surrounding area may appear questionable for first timers, since I have been there (to Paris) several times, I do not feel unsafe in that area.

The hotel is in a dangerous/scary neighborhood at night, if you have children dont even try it. It can be scary and make sure to always walk in groups fo people. It is very close to many things, the rooms are small but clean.

Most basic 'hotel' Ive ever stayed as am quite easily pleased and only go for basic not posh. But this was minimal basic - 5 (inc one broken# coat hooks and a shelf for clothing). Toilet so small had to sit side saddle with door ajar. . Bed was comfy and place was clean Have NEVER been rationed to just one croissant each for breakfast!!!

The staff is friendly and the location is good for Gare du Nord railway station. These are the only good points. My room smelled awful because of the shoddy plumbing. The decor is old and in need of renewal, while the fixtures and fittings are very poorly mounted.

The Chambermaids and receptionists were very goodand helpful, but the Hotel requires serious renovations to meet up to modern expections of a hotel. Noise reductions through double glazing etc is not a luxury. The room was tiny with the bed pushed up against the wall although it was supposed to be a double room it was impossible for two people to stand up at the same time. The shower room was so small it was impossible to sit on the toilet correctly you have to sit sideways. The overall experience spoilt our otherwise lovely time in Paris

It is not a big hotel but the staff is very kind, welcoming and helpful. The location is really good and opposite to the La Chapelle metro which makes your journey easier. It is really good hotel.

Hotel is basic but clean, breakfast was good, rooms were small but had everything required and the beds were really comfy, staff were friendly and helpful if you needed anything but didn't bother you. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful though many of them did not speak very good English they are still willing to help. The area and hotel is tired. There was a smell in my room the whole time I was in there. There wasn't a lift and it was very pokey. A very basic,budget hotel. The staff were friendly enough and as Paris is a small city,the metro is always nearby.

Tiny filthy room, an overpowering dank musty smell hit you as soon as you opened the door. Carpet, walls, bed linen filthy and squalid. Avoid at all possible costs. Fork out some extra money for a better place, this hotel ruined my trip.

I was there for 5 nights. The phone in my room was broken. They kept promissing to fix it. It never got fixed, finally on my last night there the new preson at the front desk came up with a briliant idea to move me to another room. None the less I was not able to communicate with my family. Hotel is conveniently situated to the metro, but it's a "scary" […] neighborhood. At night you could not have the window open cause kids were throwing rocks into the room from the balcony in the building accross. When I notified the front desk nothing was done about it. The hotel was located close to the Gare du Nord Train station, which is not in a great neighborhood. Also there was no air conditioning and the doorways and halls were extremely tiny. Wouldn't stay here again because it was too far away from what you go to Paris to see.

Nous avons passé trois nuitées, le but du séjour étant de visiter Paris avec ma fille. L'hôtel est plutôt bien situé dans un quartier est animé avec des commerces en majorité sri lankais et indiens et il jouxte Barbès et la Goutte d'Or. Il se situe néanmoins dans une rue calme, à côté d'une petite résidence universitaire et à 300 mètres d'une station […] de métro. La chambre était de taille convenable avec une petite salle de bains WC équipée d'un séche cheveux (plus spacieuse cependant que ce qu'on trouve dans les hôtels genre "1ère classe"). Ce n'est pas forcément ce qu'on recherchait mais la chambre était dotée d'une télé à écran plat avec chaînes câblées. Tout était très propre. Le petit déjeuner était aussi tout à fait convenable. Accueil et personnel aimables. L'ascenseur est minuscule, problème de ces immeubles anciens. Hain paikkaa, jossa nukkua ja peseytyä. Siihen Gare du Nord -rautatieaseman liki vieressä oleva hotelli sopii todella hyvin. Aivan vieressä on La Chapellen metroasema, josta on kätevä sukkuloida eri puolille kylää, jonka raittien risteykset ovat mielenkiinoitsella tavalla vinoittain.

Dentro de Paris, a 3 min de estación de metro aunque no ubicado en la mejor zona. Adecuada limpieza, habitaciones pequeñas pero cubren lo basico. Desayuno aceptable. Falta wifi en habitaciones. Satisfactoria atención del personal del hotel.
