I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was more then nice. The hotel was beyond kept up. I will be coming more the ATHENS, GA and will be staying here everytime.

place is run-down, and noisy.

The hotel's location was perfect for our visit to UGA. We were able to walk to the campus fromthe hotel, saving on parking and giving us a better understanding of the downtown's walkability.

No surprises. Clean, well maintained, courteous staff. Continental breakfast was a little meager.

Friendly staff and great breakfast, Elevator and internet access was slow but tolerable

when I go to Athens. It's clean, affordable, and very close to everything. The breakfast is good, the staff friendly, and the pool clean.

Location was good - a good UGA crash spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Athens, GA and have already recommended it to someone else when they are in town. Everything from check in to check out was smooth and professional. The breakfast bar was very nice. There were a few small things that I would change. The coffee pot was located in the bathroom. Not a good choice. I would recommend placing it in the room on an end table or beside the television. I'm not going to drink from a coffee pot located in the […] bathroom. The sink in the bathroom had a huge crack in it; but since it didn't leak it was no problem. Just shocking to look at at 3 AM after a 2.5 hour drive. The parking lot seemed small and crowed, but I assume most people don't drive since its right in Athens. Very good workout room, although lights & equipment on a timer that turned everything off after 30 minutes. That left me in the dark. Lots of competition for treadmills early in the morning. If you are planning on visiting the downtown area of Athens, or to visit the campus, this hotel is very conveniently located. It has free parking, free hot breakfast, a microwave and fridge in the room, and a swimming pool-so, everything you need.

Wonderful breakfast for free...had hot eggs and sauage, great pan cake machine.

The hotel is old but the rooms and main areas are current. The hotel is clean and the service is excellent. Its less than one mile from the University of Georgia campus and downtown restaurants. I'll stay here again and recommend it to others!

Hot complimentary breakfast is a perk. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only negative thing was the halls outside the rooms had little pieces of trash and needed to be vacuumed...I was there three nights and they stayed that way.

Very comfortable stay. Close to downtown Athens (within walking distance). Room walls are quite thin, and there was some noise in the hall late into the evening. Comfortable bed. Great continental breakfast. Would stay here again.

My wife and I took a road trip to see a friend that lives in Athens. The night before we looked at the hotels in the area. The choice was between the Holiday Inn and this hotel the Holiday Inn Express. This hotel was only $5 more per night than the other property but included a hot breakfast. This made the stay worth the difference. The staff even gave […] us a to-go bag with some fruit on our way out the first morning. Enjoyed our short stay. Staff was very helpful in giving directions, handouts. Clean and comfortable room. Very good breakfast. We were very pleased with the hotel.

I was very pleased with the room, cleanliness, and value of this hotel. The reason for my stay was to visit nearby relatives and this will be my preferred hotel during future visits. Yes, you can find slightly cheaper motels and hotels in the area but none that compare to the quality of this hotel for the price which is more than reasonable. Staff is very accommodating and will go the extra mile for you. Location is a three minute drive to the visor's center at UGA. Hotel is convenient to downtown Athens. Those expecting a new hotel however will be disappointed. This is and older facility that has been renovated and reflagged.

Not being from Georgia and not knowing the history of certain cities, my son was told by his classmates that we would be placed in the basement. I never knew hotels even had basements, but this hotel did. After standing for 15 minutes while the receptionist looks for a non-smoking room which I asked for when booking my room, I was placed in a smoking […] room. I was then informed that the boiler was not working so not hot water, and then told the boiler was fixed. There was not hot water that night nor the next morning. We had to take tap water showers. They do serve hot complimentary breakfast which was fine. I was allowed to check out at noon rather than 11am. I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. Very pleased with our short stay at this place. Our room was very nice and they had a great breakfast including bacon and eggs.

Great little hotel! Everything was great except for the little bit of 'progress underway' and that the fitness center was closed. Room was lovely, housekeeping wonderful, coffee was ALWAYS on and hot & the hotel staff was incredibly friendly. Great stay, will stay again in future for certain!

Nice clean room. 2 blocks from college. We stayed on a weekend with no game so it was quiet. Continental breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

Stayed during move-in weekend at UGA but you wouldn't know it. Hotel was quiet. Room was clean the bed and linens were fantastic. Fitness room was small but everything was in working order. Staff was very nice and hospitable. Only drawback was a loud air conditioner, but it was in working order otherwise. Would definitely stay again.

Great desk staff- so nice and helpful! We stayed for just one night. Fine for our needs...

the rooms are always exceptionally fresh and clean, the linens appear new, friendly and helpful staff, The only drawback I can comment on is it is a nice motel/hotel in a college town so all the visiting parents and their potential ( and sometimes routy) students stay there.
