"Worst Value for Money"
The hotel does not even have a movable curtain to avoid lights at night! Enjoy your sleepless night in the middle of nowhere with noises from the highway waking you up from time to time. Choose other cheaper hotels!

Pool was a lot of fun. However, breakfast was less than ordinary. Staff was slow to refill bread, juice, etc. You must beg them to get what you want. Would go back because of the location but will eat breakfast elsewhere.

Roomynrioms and nice enough for rhe proce plus a pool for the kids. Great place for a layover when headed to Jay to ski

I went thru hotels.com to book this room...supposed to get a room with 1 king size bed...NOT...also, had the room furthest from the front door, closest to the highway, and closest to the ice machine in the hall. I wanted to upgrade to a room with a hot tub and was told they were all taken....right, there were like 10 cars in the parking lot. "Holiday inn platsburg ny"
This hotel would have gotten a five or a 4 for overall experience if it had not been for the freezing room. We arrived after midnight with two young kids couldnt wait to sleep... The room was so COLD. The thermostat was off we assume to save electricity. What was worst was that every single room was just as cold. So changing rooms wasn't even an option. […] One would think that since it was the dead of winter they could have atleast turned on the heat to a minimum for the comfort of the guest. "Very close to all the malls."
The girl at the front desk was wonderful. I apparentley hit smoking when I reserved the room and she let me change it and let us be on the first floor near the pool since we have a three year old. She was vey helpful. Also room service was fast and polite and food was good. Generally our stay was great, but there were little things that were unpleasant. For one it was soooo cold in the hotel, and it was hard to get a good temperature in the room. This was a good hotel for the price paid. I had reserved a smoking room but when i got there they had me down for non smoking. I asked if there was one available and they changed it for me. The next day i got a call from the front desk saying that my smoking rokm had been booked by someone else and that i had to relocate. Nicely decorated room, comfortable mattress, clean environment and situated in close proximity to everything... malls, restaurants, movie theatre and bars. Nice indoor pool. Great value!
Hotel rooms and dining room for breakfast are dark and old . Furniture quality and arrangement in the room are poor. Breakfast is free but mediocre, There were not many varieties of food to choose from. Location of hotel is reasonable. It is within one hour to all attractions of adirondack and lake placid.

The hotel is clean and fresh. Beds were very comfortable. As far as the lounge is concerned the hotel booklet reads it is open until closing?? When we returned back from being out all day, we went to the lounge at 11pm and they were closed along with the game room. A little disappointing. "Great one night stay"
My family and i stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was very clean, the beds were very confortable. The breakfast bar and the pool were also great. I am definitely going back to this hotel when staying in Plattsburg.

This hotel was in a great location (just down the road from the ferry to Vermont) and right in the middle of a business section with many choices for eating and shopping. I would definitely stay here again. Easy on and off from the major highways.

"Holiday Inn Plattsburgh - Close to SUNY"
The front desk personnel at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very close to the SUNY campus. Would stay again.
Enjoyed its location and the silence at night. A pricey area but had great staff and clean. I liked it so much and would return in a heartbeat.

"Awesome place with an awesome price"
Indoor heated pool was the best, you get out of the hot tub and jump into the pool and didn't get a huge shock from temperature difference. Clean and friendly.

Im a bit of a finiky sleeper and liek to have some white noise, but for some reason the bathroom did not have a fan :( I also found the air in the room to be super dry.. perhaps needing a humidifyer to counter the dry winter air? The hotel was going under construction. The room was very nice and clean--other than the dust under the mircowave. I was not happy that the tv did not work. "A Good Value"
Although the property was being renovated, the condition and the services were very good, and we were quite satisfied with our stay. The management were careful to make sure that the construction was unobtrusive and everything was neat and in order. We knew the hotel was under reno before we go there so there were no surprises. For a hotel of that age, it's a good sign that the company is putting money into it. They must think there's potential for it's future. We will go back. Everything was great. And after the reno's are done it should be better. KUDOS to Holiday Inn

Hotel is currently under renovation. However, once it is done, should be excellent. Until then, don't expect much unless you are staying in your room the entire time of your visit.

This hotel puts forward a consistently poor product. Despite a renovation that focused on cosmetic updating to the outside of the hotel, the inside is an unmitigated disaster, is generally dirty, and is a very noisy facility. It's main feature is that it is centrally located -- but I can't wait until the Comfort Inn across the street (which burned down […] more than a year ago) is re-built to provide some competition.
