Royal Plaza On Scotts - สิงคโปร์

Always enjoyed our stay in RP on Scotts. Been back the 6th time for the past year. Only complaint is the hotel is always under renovation. Otherwise, stay was fantastic. Will come back whenever in Singapore. Front Desk Staff always very friendly and helpful esp. Joyce. Always remember us.

Great location. Discount on regular prices due to major renovation of street frontage. Rooms are comfortable but a little tired. Needed to continually log into room wifi.

Wonderful stay. It'd been the 5th time this past year that we returned to Royal Plaza. Always a good experience with very friendly & helpful staff. Very good and convenient location. The Carousel Restaurant provides the best High Tea experience that you can find in Singapore. Strongly recommended.

Thank you to RP for the fantastic service your hotel brings. Rooms were quite spacious and is close to the main shopping centres and MRT. Bed is extremely comfortable and the free mini bar is a bonus! Not many places offer a free minibar so we found this to be really good! First time staying at RP and won't be the last - you have new RP loyal fans!

Great stay at this top class hotel. Location in the heart of Orchard Road surroundings. To reload your minibar free of charge is a good idea, surely the room rates accommodate the cost anyway.Breakfast is giving you a fine start of the day, everything is there in a fine setting.

The first impression I had of the hotel when I arrived, was that of a run-down, dilapidated building because of all the facade reconstruction to the hotel and building around it. Excellent hotel in great location. The staff where A friendly and helpfu and the room was clean and comfortablel. The location is wonderful with easy access to MRT train transport and great shopping. The restaurant is very nice and was able to cater to my Gluten Free diet.

Hotel check in staff was pleasant, room was good, that's where i experienced some unhuman manner. My family checked into RP on 13th March 2013. We were allocated a room that was clean but the fridge was not cold (even we increase the cold tempreture, its still warm). As you can imagine, we has a 1 year old daughter that needed milk (fresh) to keep in […] the fridge so she can have it cold. We could not buy fresh milk and leave it in the fridge overnight because it will go off, so we buy it every day and ask for ice to make milk fresh. Early morning of the 14th, I went down stair to the restuarant (in the hotel) think its early hour and nothing is open at that time, i meet a lady (name??) asking her kindly to get me some milk for my little girl. She kindly told me that it would cost me $8.25 for a bottle of 125ml with some ice. I explain to her what happen to fridge in our room, but she don't seem to be of any concern, she reply this is the hotel policy and we charge $8.25. We must admit, this would be the WORST hotel that we would have stayed. We have been to Singapore 4 times in the last 2 years and stayed at different hotels. This gotta be the WORST one we would've come across. Luckily we did not booked for 2 nights. We end up moving to another hotel (across ViVo City shopping plaza. Hi All, Please don’t fall for the over rate reviews on any site about this hotel. The lobby is nice but nothing special. I read many reviews where people were praising about free bar and cappuccino machine so let’s get this facts clear. Cappuccino machine : you get three shots of coffee of different flavour each day. Mini Bar : Two beers and couple […] of soft drinks if I remember correctly. Just to make it clear this don’t justify the extortionate price you end up paying for a small room. I understand Singapore is generally expensive but the room size and its facilities don’t offer value to the money you pay. One of the bedside draw in the room had a faulty runner and it kept on opening. On complaining one of the staff members attempted to repair it unsuccessfully. As we had a toddler with us I ended up securing the unit myself. Only positive about the hotel for me is location. (Next to MRT,Ion Shopping Mall etc.) The Ion Mall a nice food court downstairs. Good choice if you aim for a shopping spree, walking distance to Ion Orchard, Takashimaya, Wisma Atria and etc. choices form local brand to luxury brands. Hotel was well decorated for Chinese New Year, entrance was impressed. Staff was polite. There will be a deposit even you have paid in full. I later find out this happened in other hotel in Singapore. […] If you are not feeling comfortable to leave your card details, please make sure that you bring some cash with you for the deposit. you will get your money back upon check out. No view from our room; there is a Nepresso machine with free capsules, which are decaf, medium and strong, Pool is open 24 hours. We were still awake at 3am and feeling hungry, we decided to visit some local food stall that was open till late according to the Internet. (Internet in room was slow but free) couldn't see anyone at the reception for direction but the concierge was there. The place seems pretty dated for the star rating. Our room on check in was dirty and the bedding had to be changed and the desk counters were all sticky! We were quite shocked. We arrived at the hotel at 0500 hours although checkin wasn't until 3 pm... The staff were so cheerful and friendly and arranged for us to have a key to go have free coffee and a snack and be able to have a shower or relax by the pool... They had our rooms ready for us to check into at 830 in the morning... I had also discovered I had left my cell phone […] at the airport and they called and it was arranged to have it delivered to me.. We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Plaza. The staff was excellent, always polite and friendly. Our customer service experience was definitely the highlight of the hotel, staff were always happy to help out with all our needs. The price per night was also very good for a great location.

The hoel is undergoing some major refurbishment to the main entrance and this is a bit of an eyesore, hence the condition and upkeep score - in all fairness we were warned beforehand and the work will much improve the place in the future. Staff and facilities were excellent as you would expect from this standard of hotel. Hotel is conveniently located […] and covered by several transport options for getting around and in this respect the consierge staff are particularly helpful. The room we had was a Superior Double Room. It only had 1 chair and room for only 1 suitcase to be placed on a stand. The room was far too small and therefore everything was all over the place. Apart from the room size, 1 chair & 1 suitcase stand, everything else was perfect.

Good location in the center of the city in the shopping district. Comfortable rooms and good service. Good breakfast buffet and a small jewel at the bar (Heat Ultralounge) where you can eat a limited selection of dishes of excellent quality.

Spent one night at the hotel while in transit in Singapore, and it was very good. I called them up to tell them i was arriving quite late at night and they had no problems with that. The staff were nice, and the room was in good condition. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. Nice large desk to work on as well if required.

We were very disappointed with the provision of an early check-in and was advised that we had to wait for about 4 to 5 hours before the room would be ready. Firstly we had a fair deal here and did not pay the full rate. For what we paid it was perfect. The front entrance is currently undergoing renovation and I believe this is why we had a good deal the renovation in no way affected our stay and I was not even aware if it until the 2 Nd day. The location cannot be beaten in my view for the Orchard area. […] Minutes to mrt and shops all around as well as bars restaurants coffee shops. Free mini bar filled daily, just a couple if beers and soft drinks but that was a bonus. Nesspresso coffee machine in room too. Pool and gym were great and loads of loungers in sun and shade. Full air on in rooms on all day so no problems there. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment across the road via footbridge is the Far East Plaza which has a cheap supermarket and local eateries in the basement and top floors. Booked hotel for family of 6, we got 2 rooms with a kingsized bed in each, no bed for 3rd person. Last thing we needed after a 11 hr flight. Had given ages of children on booking form so assumed they would have provided accommodation that would fit.

We found the staff to be efficient, helpful and friendly. The mini-bar was a definite plus, as was the complimentary wi-fi which we found to be pretty good (essential if you have teenagers!) The hotel is excellently located as it is within walking distance to the major shopping centres on Orchard Rd - very convenient for shopping and dining out.
