When we Checked in I had a question regarding the kids free breakfast and the man who checked us in didn't know the answer. I found it kinda funny because he was one of the managers! The bathtub was not the cleanest and the drain was clogged. My children played in the kids zone which is nice to have for people that have small children however they had […] empty hand sanitizer bottles. In the morning we went to eat breakfast there was any clean tables available they were vacant but not cleaned. The server took our drink order and the menu and we didn't see her again. They have a buffet however they have a menu which we wanted to order from. The buffet looked good however it is over priced. My daughter complained that her eggs weren't good I was relIeved that we didn't have to pay for her meal. "Nice stay"
Hotel was clean. No complimentary breakfast is something to consider when thinking about price. Not a 5 star but a nice room for the price.

"Lancaster Host Resort, Lancaster PA"
It needs a update and the smell in the hallways is sickening. Rooms were clean, but really need a update.

I booked this hotel because I had a conference there. It says free WiFi but the internet speed is slower than dial-up. The web pages often would not load. I was not able to download even small apps on my iPad. Every time I talk to the reception, they say the engineers are working on it. For the 6 days I stayed there it was that way. As many other reviews indicate the Lancaster Host is great place to stay while you are in the Lancaster area. I am disappointed that our facility did not meet your expectations; we recently upgraded our WIFI to fiber optic which has resolved many connection and speed issues. We are out in the midst of farm country; many local farmers utilize manure on their fields as fertilizer, very green, but can be odiferous for a day or two. We thank you for your patronage. Upon getting there I was impressed with the front desk, but then I found out that was all to be impressed with. We got to our room upon checking in to find out that it was freezing... in the middle of January at 1am this is the last thing you want. When we tried to turn the heat up it didn't work!! So we called the front desk and they were very nice […] and gave us a new room... which had a puddle from a leaking ceiling outside the door. At this point we were too tired to complain and just wanted to relax on our mini vacation. Well, when I took a shower there was no water pressure and the water was barely warm, as you can imagine this is very miserable for a woman with long hair. Not somewhere I'd ever want to stay again. "Hotel at The Host Resort in Lancaster Pa."
Awesome place to stay, will definitly be back. Clean, and the service was excellent. The Legends resurant was out of this world and would recommend it to anyone. Jeremy the server was kind, and courteous. Its nice to see a smiling face when you had such a long day. He did everything possible to accomadate me. Thanks Jeremy
The room had no heat or air. A big green stain was on the carpet. We got their late so the girl at the front dest stated that she could not help with any of the question that we had. Staying at the Lancaster Host was like dating Elizabeth Taylor when she was 70 .You could tell the glamor was once there ,but the Bling Bling is Long Gone!

"Good Value and Comfortable Room"
This was our first time to stay at the Lancaster Host. The room was comfortable and a good size for a double room. The beds we're very comfortable and we slept well ! "Very nice"
The hotel was so nice. We really enjoyed it! But the buffet was closed for breakfast. We had the two free kids meals and could use for lunch or dinner but we were only there for breakfast. You could order off the menu but selections were limited. We left and went out to eat but would still definitely stay here again!

Hotel was affordable, close to tourist attractions, and had many features such as pool, golf course, etc. Room was clean, large, and cozy. The only gripe I have is that there were no mattress cover on the beds and not a lot of pillows. Also, access to the hotel from the highway is tricky and tourists should use caution. "Close to the Outlets and Great Restaurants"
I booked this hotel because we were looking for a decent priced hotel room for our anniversary. When we got there, the lobby was fantastically decorated for the holidays and was very clean and prestige! But unfortunately the rest of the hotel seemed like there wasn't enough money to maintain/keep it up. The rooms were clean and the room service was […] great though! There weren't any ice machines on any level of the hotel that worked :( But again the staff was helpful. Location wise--this is located on the main street and it's close to 3 outlet malls, many restaurants, Target, etc..... So overall it worked but again the main concern would have been the condition of the hotel. It looked like it used to be a very high end hotel and the economy just hit it and the management hasn't been able to keep it up. Anyway good luck! P.S. I didn't see any bugs or anything like that. The Lancaster Host and Resort Conference Center was the perfect location for our stay in Lancaster, PA. My wife and I were able to take advantage of this location to visit family in downtown Lancaster and also visit another family member having surgery in Upland, PA only one hour away. "The Host. Convenient to Dutch WonderlandLancaster."
Don't ever stay there on a Friday, if you have to work Saturday. It sounded like 100 preschoolers in the hallway. They came out drunk after the comedy show. I tried for 8 hours sleep. But only got 3. We are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations.We did have a large contingent of soccer families in the hotel that weekend who were participating in a regional tournament in Lancaster. The noise problem was an unusual occurrence for us; I apologize for the disturbance. We learned our lesson and have noted that for 2012 tournament weekend to double the number of security guards on duty to better control noise situation. Again, thank you for your comments. there were hairs on my sheets, room was very old and the sink leaked, heat did not work properly and the hallway smelled of urine. do not recommend this hotel

IT'S WAS NICE , AND CLEAN.EVERYONE WAS NICE.
THE ROOM WAS BIG. BUT THE HOTEL WASN'T VERY MODERN AND NEEDED SOME REPAIRS. WE NEEDED A REFRIGERATOR FOR OUR ROOM AND THEY INFORMED US THAT IT WOULD COST AN EXTRA $25.00. WHEN WE CHECKED IN THE LADY AT THE DESK WAS UNFRIENDLY. WE DIDN'T HAVE A BAD STAY BUT I WOULD DEFINITLY NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. THIS HOTEL WOULD BE MY LAST CHOICE. "needs updating!!"
had an extension cord plugged into a loose electrical box on floor behind curtain.Not good when you have a 2 year old..no fitted sheet on mattress..Smelled of must and mildew.

"Lancaster Host and Conference Resort"
Very nice resort. Lots to do with the pools and the excercise room. A very nice golf course, reasonably priced. Nice lounge for the evening and a very good buffet breakfast for the $. Our room was clean although bathroom could have been up-dated. (Sink was cracked). One complaint would be that we could not check in to our room early (we arrived at 2PM). […] We had a 3PM show at the AMT and could not wash up or change our clothes after traveling all day. When booking I was told that check in was at 3:00 PM but we could "most likely be able to check in earlier". We were told that that was not possible since the last big group had just checked out and our rooms we not ready. Huh - check out was at 11:00 AM! We had 3 rooms reserved but were not accomodated. So... we checked in at 5:00PM and we had to be out by 11:00 AM the next. Other than that mis-understanding - it was a very nice place to stay. Hotels.com was easy to work with and we actually had 5 rooms booked and paid the extra $ for the cancellation fee which was a good thing because we had to end up cancelling 2 of the rooms but did so without incident and a full refund. Our room was clean and neat and well equipped. Getting to the room, however, was a different story. The hotel common areas are well worn and dingy/dirty looking. Finding your room is a chore in and of itself because there is poor signage. On check out, the staff refused to shred my room key, so as to prevent identity theft issues. I will follow up with the Front Office Manager on the shredding of the room key issue, however, our property management system disables the key access code upon check out, the key itself does not contain any personal information pertaining to a guest. Recently our hotel embarked on a comprehensive renovation plan; the first phase included mainly “behind the scenes” mechanical upgrades/repairs to HVAC systems to improve overall guest comfort. First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to submit your comments regarding the Lancaster Host Resort. Second, I am disappointed that as a facility we did not meet your expectations; clearly we were not performing to our usual standards, and for that I sincerely apologize. I have reviewed your feedback in detail with our Executive Housekeeper and Chief Engineer to ensure such a unique guest experience (as outlined in your review) will not be repeated. Our hotel team has a commitment to ensure every guest has a positive experience. It is my management philosophy if during their stay with us, if a guest communicates to us that they are not satisfied with any area of our hotel operations, we will make every effort to correct the situation, offer alternative solutions, up to and including full or partial refund of any/all hotel related charges. We realize our guests have many choices in accommodations when visiting Lancaster. Recently our hotel embarked on a comprehensive renovation plan; the first phase included mainly “behind the scenes” mechanical upgrades/repairs to HVAC systems to improve overall guest comfort. I can assure you that our hotel staff, as well as our corporate team is dedicated to make the necessary changes, updating all areas of the facility in a timely manner, as funding is available.

A Very nice and convenient place to stay. We enjoyed the Comedy Club in the Hotel Lobby.
"Trip to Lancaster, PA"
The hotel was very crowded when we arrived. They have a show at the hotel so it was near time to start so a lot of traffic. It made it very hard to find a parking spot and unload. They did not have any carts for luggage so my husband had to make several trips. The hotel needs to be updated and carpet removed and new put down. Has seen a lot of traffic. Thank you for taking the time to send us your comments regarding your recent stay at the Lancaster Host. The staff and I certainly appreciate all guest feedback as it assists us in developing action plans to improve all facets of hotel operations. As for the overall condition of the hotel; I can assure you that our hotel management as well as our corporate team is dedicated to make the necessary changes, updating the facility and installing additional amenities, as funding is available. In closing, your comments and suggestions are much appreciated. We thank you for your patronage and look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.
