The Lymm Hotel - Lymm

Good Motel Hotel for Business and close to Lymm . But I booked too quickly online expecting " Breakfast Available " meant Breakfast Included. Went straight through to breakfast without checking and was charged a whopping extra £17.50. This was quite outrageous for 2 poached eggs on toast.

Lymm is a lovely village close to Warrington area; in fact I'd say if you want to stay somewhere not so far from the town, but somewhere away from it, Lymm is a great spot. The hotel itself is OK; I stayed on the top floor. The room I had had a slightly old working lock which unsettled me as to how secure the room was. The room was tidy, but not modern […] style - which is probably the intention of the hotel. Without sounding offensive, it's aimed at 50 something clientele! Checked in approx 3pm, room very cold. thought heating would come on early evening, we were attending a wedding, returned to room approx 12.30am to find room still very cold with no heating in bedroom or bathroom. Spent uncomfortable night in freezing cold room. Didn't complain when we checked out as we were with other wedding guests. E-mailed hotel […] when we got home,manager replied that had we complained someone would have come to bleed radiators. (Find this hard to believe at 1am) Surely if cleaners had been in the room they would have notified management there was a problem. All of the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, Car parking is close to your room even if you are in the annex. The food although a bit more pricey than you would expect was top notch,might even impress my wife if I brought her? Will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

We stayed overnight while attending a wedding. Comfortable rooms and well priced. Would stay again.

This hotel is very tired. The staff are not customer focus. I arrived late and my room was freezing. Clearly nobody thought about going to my room to turn the radiator on before I got there.... The decor is c1970 and the fixtures and fittings are very tired. Time to close, rebrand, refurbish and reopen I think.

The hotel is in a really great place and the building in its former years was probably really good. Sadly accommodation wise the hotel is more motel, out of date bathroom fittings, mould on the bathroom tiles and paint peeling of walls and doors in the corridor. The three rooms we booked, one in the main hotel and two in the extension were all very […] dark. The staff were great and the breakfast lovely (a little pricey at £17.50 though). Used the hotel as a base for a family function so didn't eat in the hotel this visit, only used the bar.!But the menu looked good. It's handy for walking into Lymm which is a lovely village with lots of quirky shops and restaurants. My sat nav took me to The Trafford Centre in 18mins....for lots more shops!!

The room was comfortable and the food was good. However since the smoking ban came into force, the quality and range of food in pubs and restaurants has risen. When comparing the with what is available elsewhere, the menu seems restricted and overpriced.
