This Econo Lodge was in a good location for the shopping we were wanting to do. I didn't think the hotel looked the nicest on the inside. Kind of out dated and in disrepair in some places. Our room was clean but bedspread and drapes were mismatched and outdated. Walls were thin and could hear doors slamming in the hall ways and people talking and laughing […] in the room next to us until late. Slept good once we got to sleep. We stayed 2 nights in Des Moines and the first night we stayed here. I thought that the hotel was very clean room was clean. The noise from the hallway could be heard pretty well but really wasnt too noisy. Staff was friendly but a little difficult to understand, they spoke english ok but didnt talk ery loud so I had to have them repeat a few times. […] We would hae stayed here the second night as I thought it was a nice hotel and the price was great but it was a little farther from the state fair grounds and my daughter really wanted to get a hotel with a pool so I gave in. clean, comfortable, cheap room. Good breakfast, fast service.

The hotel was great-clean and tidy. The gentleman that checked us in was very kind and knowledgeable about the community and surrounding area. The only downfall to the stay was the other hotel guests that were drunk and yelling in the hall at 2:30 a.m., but that is not the fault of the hotel or management.

This hotel is not fancy by any means. It is clean and in a perfect area for where we needed to go. Staff was friendly. It was clean. That is all that mattered. Very good for price.

I forgot my phone charger in the room and called the hotel later that day. Staff made no effort to find it. I even told them where it was plugged in behind the refrigerator. Staff said they would look and contact me, I had to remind him to take my phone number. More than likely it was kept by staff since I received no phone call.

For the price there is no reason to complain.. If you go walking in with high expectations you will be a bit let down but there is nothing wrong with the place.. I'd stay there again..

Econo Lodge employees very helpful and friendly. Room clean, but the whole place needs updated. Very out of style. Adjoining room very noisy,but there was state tournaments going on in town, lots of high school kids staying at the motel and all over town.

The hotel looked very nice for the price and the rooms were nice looking as well. But, you could tell that there was smoking allowed in the hotel though. The smoke smell was very strong and hung in the air even though all of the rooms around mine were non-smoking. You could also hear other rooms TV's quite well to the point where I was woken up at 5 […] am by one and I am not a light sleeper. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This hotel was just a quick overnight stop for me but it was a clean room and I felt the price was right.

Nothing spectacular - we just crashed for the night. Arrived after 11pm and left by 8am. It was a bed - not too firm or soft, and a hot shower in the morning. Convenient location. No frills. Quiet & clean. We did not eat breakfast. If this is what you need, then look no further. Price was right.

The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The price for the hotel was much lower than all local hotels.

Very friendly front desk and great location off of Merle Hay Road and I-80. Average breakfast, but that is OK. Very comfortable beds.

This is about what you'd expect just off a major interstate within a large city. It's located just south of the highway in a strip of various fast food restaurants; there was a themed race car restaurant next door, and a Wendy's next to that. Again, "budget" is the word here. Our bathroom was tiny but functional, the TV was a clunky ol' CRT model, […] and so on. Not much to object to, but you're not going to get a fancy buffet for breakfast. We were in town to drop our son off at Drake University, and this was at a nice distance from campus. The route down to University Avenue was pleasant, and it took us maybe 15 minutes of leisurely driving to arrive at his dorm. I may well return here when we visit; the other approach to Drake is more run down, though I haven't stayed in the closer hotels to comment on them. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

I would definately recommend this hotel to others but make sure you call the hotel first and check prices because hotels.com will rip you off!!!

I wound up here after the original hotel I reserved was overbooked. This was my consolation prize. The staff was pleasant, helpful and speedy. No problems there. Then I opened the door to my room... It was about 95 degrees on this day and when I opened the door to the room, it felt the same. Curiously, the air conditioner was on but wasn't seeming to […] make a dent in the heat and humidity. It was so humid, the carpet was bedding were wet. After walking barefoot across the carpet after taking a cold shower and returning the the tile floor in the bathroom, I left a trail of black footprints. Has the carpet ever been cleaned? Other tidbits: strange mineralization growth on the doorstop. Tub leaked water onto bathroom floor... either that or it was sweating so much due to the heat and humidity that it pooled. This was a single queen room and there was WAY TOO MUCH furniture in this room. There was a pathway available around the bed, that's about it. A huge desk, dresser, table, 3 chairs, 2 nightstands and an ottoman. I'd rather have a little breathing room. My recommendation? Look elsewhere. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The staff is very very nice, hotel room was very clean, had a strong frabreeze smell to it, but clean. Breakfast was fine, and area very clean. Would definately reccomend and I would stay there again... no doubt. Have a Great trip....

The bed in out hotel room was terrible!! It was tough to sleep in and I ended up in a chair. If your looking for a comfortable place, this is not it.

I found this hotel to be extremely acceptable for the price paid. It was reasonably quiet, and the room itself was more than adequate. There was even a decent recliner instead of the second bed. I am very pleased.

We were on a non-smoking floor and when we arrived after a long drive from CO, the entire hallway smelled of pot smoke. We informed the front desk and all we were told was that, "Well there shouldn't be because you are on a non-smoking floor." That's what we thought as well. The location is great. Just off the highway. But I didn't really want to take […] a shower the next morning because it didn't seem very clean. I loved the location and the water pressure in the shower, but there was a smell in the hallway and stairwell that was almost unbearable. It was the smell of food cooking and was present at all times. My clothes smelled like it when I got home the next day.

Clean and comfortable, but just about zero amenities. TV service was out, no room fridge, ice machine on another floor.
