The hotel is very good, a lot of space in the rooms, very clean, perfect stay

Because of the earthquakes in Christchurch there is no CBD, so a rental car is highly recommended for at least the next 2 years if you're thinking of staying here & traveling around the city. Apart from that though, the rooms are large, comfortable & clean, with exceptional service at a great rate. Our first night in New Zealand was spent at Heartland Hotel Cotswald and despite arriving at nearly midnight the staff could not have been more helpful. Hotel is old and not maintained well. Internet connection is slow and limited (and costs much). Quite a walk from Hotel to restaurants and shoping areas. Hotel price too high for its quality.

Overall - between 4 and 5 as you can see, NOT 4. Only serious complaint - no soap when I arrived, had to ring for it twice before I got it, with 15 minutes by the clock between requests. The excuse was that some Americans had arrived, but what is the first thing one does when one gets to one's hotel room after a day's travelling? This was very close and easy place to stay the night before our flight. I would stay here again. Great Price for what you get.

The overall impression was good, the rooms were clean and spacious. The requested two baby beds were in the room. The noisy ventilation in the bathroom was a problem with two young children. It could not be turned off separately from the lights, so it was either a noisy shower or a dark shower.

This hotel was accomodating, friendly. Love the 'olde worlde charm' with Henry V111 wives as themes for hotel blocks. The pool was lovely even though was no heating. Very helpful staff gave us a pack late in evening after we returned from dinner. The decor was a little tired, chips n bath, window decor peeling off. The location is nice. The rooms look cheap and it always appears dirty. Noise from the other rooms is always there. The whole furniture is cheap e.g. TV is smallest ever in a motel room. Their internet deal is incredible expensive - even for NZ.

３人で宿泊、１人目の入浴が終了した後にお湯が出なくなり、フロントに問い合わせたところシステム上、各室のお湯タンクを使い切ったら２時間経たないとタンクが貯まらないので水しか出ないとのことでした。ジムのシャワーを使えるように迅速に手配はしてくれましたが(ただしジムはシャワーのみ)、やはり部屋の風呂を気軽に使ええる方が何かと便利かとは思います。また建物がエレベーターのない２階建て構造のため、重たいスーツケースがある場合の２階での宿泊は荷物の上げ下ろしに一苦労します。レンタカー利用でしたが空港まで一本道なので、立地は悪くないと思います。
