Wifi did not work. Had no cell phone service inside the hotel.

They say there's 100% guarantee. The staff is rude and doesn't care about guests. house keeping start cleaning at 7 am sharp. They don't care if they wake you up vacuuming.

This hotel was one of the best hotels Ive stayed in that wasnt a major 4 star hotel. We stayed in a king deluxe room and could not complain about anything. Comfortable duveys, tiled shower and bathroom floor, flat screen tv, granite bathroom and kitchen vanity, balcony, sofa couch, in room fridge, microwave, coffee pot. We also got a roll away bed. […] The room was very big for not being a suite. Plenty of room to walk around room with the sofa bed and roll away bed down Breakfast buffett was awesome. Yes there is a stripper club across the strret but that didnt bother my family. Theres also plenty of other food and retail stores in the area. You gotta remember your near a marine recruit base so there are tattoo and strippers around. . . BIG DEAL! Prime location to old town, seaworld, etc Alos phils BBQ is the best ever. . . Pros: The hotel itself is nice, staff is super helpful, breakfast was good. Cons: I was surprised that it really isn't that close to the airport (although there is a free airport shuttle, which was nice) and it is located doors down from a strip club. I didn't feel too safe walking around the neighborhood.

I have to say to find a hotel that offers valet parking, wifi and an unbelievable continental breakfast for free is not typical in San Diego. The exercise room was wry sufficient. Be ready to have whole made waffles in the morning!

I liked the hotel's cleanliness and guest services. My kids were a bit bummed about the size of the pool. They expected a bigger pool. Even though the location was great, I would have given it an excellent, except that we were near a traffic zone, two freeway exits and lots of traffic. There were, however, a lot of good eating places nearby, even walking distance. All in all, I'd say that it was great except for those few flaws. We travel often and I have to say this is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Impressive. Not only was it clean but the room was nice and the bed, comfortable. The staff was great, very helpful. My only issue I would have to say was there was a parking issue. I'm not sure if this was normal but we returned to the hotel later in the evening and the […] lot was full. There was an employee valet parking vehicles elsewhere. In the morning they were prompt at retrieving the car, so all was good but I was a tad concerened that our car was elsewhere that night. I would recommend it. The room was great and very clean. Breakfast was included and was very substantial - lots of variety. My only complaint was location of the coffee maker In our room. It was right beside the sink and the vanity counter was somewhat crowded for putting on make- up, doing hair, etc.

My family and I have always been very satisfied staying at Hampton Inn hotels- they're usually clean, modern, comfortable, safe. So we were quite disappointed when we got to the hotel (and room) and found it to be in a "shady" neighborhood and is in need VERY badly of some renovations/updates in the whole hotel/rooms. Our room, for example, had wallpaper […] STAPLED since it was ripping off the wall!! The carpets in our room as well as the hallways need to either be cleaned and shampooed or update it altogether! You could tell the whole hotel NEEDS to be upgraded. The staff, though were very helpful and very accommodating. 10 minute walk to trolley at old town and 2 minute walk to bus for seaworld. Staff was extremely helpful and gave great tips on how to get around san diego. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.

The hotel it self was fine but the location not good its a stones throw from a strip club and the location of this hotel is diffently in a seeded neighborhood..because of these reason's I would avoid a stay, not a place for kids..safety is a concern..

We were offered a "to-go" breakfast which was very nice since we had to leave very early but it was very sparse - a bottle of water, a small nutrigrain bar and breath mints.

My grandson and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Seaworld. It was very pleasant and comfortable. The price was right. Breakfast was fantastic...not just tea and danish anymore. The waffles were phenomenal, the staff most helpful. Heated pool and jacuzzi, too. Overall a pleasant experience. No problems with the location.

The neighborhood that this hotel in is not the best. When we arrived, there were parties going on in the parking lot and the balconies of an adjacent hotel, which was right outside our window. Due to the noise and the strong smell of pot that was infiltrating our room from the hallway (I believe that it was coming from a room adjacent to ours), we requested […] a change of room. The operator was quite helpful with the request but said that they were unable to bring us the change of keys and we needed to hall everything to the front desk (which was quite far) to get the keys so that we could go even further back to the new room. The rest of our stay was pleasant until we took showers in the morning. We had the water on the hottest level and it was still luke warm, and by the second shower, cold. great hotel. the free shuttle from the airport was a bonus. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. The beds were great with beautiful linen that is changed everyday. Free Wi-Fi. Great valu for money hotel, but probably a little far out of San Diego itself.

It's right next to some strip clubs but you don't really notice them. At night its safe to be by yourself and its right next to some shopping centers. If you don't have a car and like walking its convenient and its also right next to the trolley station (less than a 10 minute walk) to go all around San Diego! Nice hotel, helpful staff. Very clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, they list it as being close to the old Town trolley stop. "Close" means a mile away across not a great neighborhood. Many in my group seemed not to mind it, but I did.

What a wonderful hotel chain! They are very attentive to everyone's needs... Feels like staying at home... Breakfast is great and served at a decent time of day 7am-10am for those of us that don't or can't get up early :)

As always, the Hampton Inns are great. This one was just slightly below their normal level of excellence. The mattresses were just a tad lumpy, which is NOT the norm for Hampton Inns. Nice older Hampton..... we enjoyed the breakfast, wifi, and jacuzzi. The location was a bit difficult near two freeways. The front desk personnel were efficient and pleasant.

The entrance is a little confusing for first time visitors, especially when exiting I-8. The hotel is being renovated but the staff was helpful and friendly the room was very nice and clean. Most Hampton rooms are bigger and have a refrig and mircowave which this didn't but we were only staying one night to fly out very early next morning. I would consider staying there again as the price was very reasonable.
