Concorde Hotel Singapore - สิงคโปร์

I stayed at Concorde hotel last weekend for 4 days during transit from USA to Indonesia. In my opinion, Concorde hotel is a great hotel to stay considering the price and the free amenities such as free wifi, and it has a very strategic location toward the end of the Orchard road, especially considering that Orchard road is a one way street. There is […] a bus stop right in front of the hotel that makes it very convenient to go anywhere, and Somerset MRT station is only a 5 mins walk. There is a construction near the hotel, which can be pretty noisy, but the construction is only happening during the day, and I don't think this is a big issue, unless one is planning to just stay inside the room for the whole day. Great location, close to the shopping on Orchard Road and an easy short walk to to Dhoby Ghaut MRT train station. Bus stop out the front. The swimming pool was nice. Staying for 2 nites. Overall is okay. I was informed that the basement parking was not belonged to hotel, but there are limited designated parking lots (outside hotel lobby entrance) only available after a wedding dinner. My stay come with breakfast buffet, it wasn't too bad but have to queue for some time due to crowded guests.

Opted for the upgrade to a Premier on the 9th floor. 2 items of laundry daily, breakfast, and evening appetizers/cocktails. Also made certain to avoid construction area to the rear of hotel in asking for room selection. My room faced Orchard Road and was excellent. Very pleased overall with the stay. Excellent access to MRT at Dhoby Gaut (2 block walk) […] and good food underneath hotel in Food Court. Convenience stores too. Location of hotel is in the quieter part of Orchard road and 250m from Ghoby Haut MRT station. Hotel room is quiet well maintained except there was a dead cockroach on the bed. Room deco is nice but the washroom is a let down. Very old shower curtain and wall tiles are dirty.

I made a mistake - I should've not stayed at a hotel on Orchard Road, near Christmas time. It was a nightmare - noise, traffic jam, throngs, - all made for a very difficult time for a business traveller. this is not Concorde's fault, of course, but it is a lesson for those in my shoes. On the plus side, great location on Orchard Road and free wi-fi and I managed to get a non-smoking room despite pre-information that such would not be available. On the negative side, room facilities are ageing and the bathroom desperately needs an update. Also was disturbed by sub-woofer noise from basement pubs well into the early hours. The room was small but the bathroom was massive. Possibly bigger than the room! Location is pretty good. Lots of shopping, etc nearby on Orchard Street. In any case, a $10 cab ride gets you just about anywhere in Singapore. Service was very good. I stored some bags at the hotel for a few days before checkout without any problems.

Just stayed here overnight on a business trip and they were kind enough to upgrade me to a suite after some talk about "putting two beds together to make a king" before a more senior person intervened. The suite was spacious and bed/linens comfortable. But the hotel shows its age too, even after upgrades. Bathroom looks old and tub filled slowly. Shower […] good, but a sunken tray to stand in limited using the whole space oddly. Amenities were of medium quality. Hotels in SG are not inexpensive and this certainly provided a comfortable stopover, but it is nothing too exciting in terms of design and features. No advance power/audio features at all... Overall statisfy, but aircond is really not friendly, I only can control, off, low, med and high, at night "low" is too cool for me, "off" is too warm for me too. Besides, bath room is not so clean, previous hotel guest hair still exist. Errrrr.

This was a good value and the hotel it self was fine. Unfortunately the air conditioning in my room was not working properly but I was only there for a day and a half. I would stay at the hotel again.

Although checkin was painfully slow, we were upgraded to premier rooms which were much more spacious. They did forget the 3rd bed, then our aircon didn't work but with one quick phone call all was fixed. Lovely pool area but hard not being allowed to bring towels to room so walked thru hotel bit wet. No major drama tho. Loved the size of the premier […] suite- glad we didn't have normal room size with 3rd person. Concierge were very helpful. The hotel was conveniently located above a smallish mall, about the middle of Orchard Road. It is a 6-minute taxi ride from Chinatown. It was well decorated throughout the lobby and hallways. The rooms were also elegant and tastefully done.

This is a standard 4 star hotel, so obviously it is very good. Service was generally excellent to the room, although a little lacking in reception and out the front. Our major criticism is simply that it is located at the "wrong" end of Orchard Road which is quite a long road (2 kms!).

the hotel room is comfortable and the hotel location is great, close to orchard road, to mrt station (three different lines), and to several supermarkets. And Free fast speed wireless internet was also amazing. Typical Singaporean Hotel, like the many many other hotels in Singapore. Nicely located for shoppers who like the big shopping malls. (Not me!) It is a little further to the "real" Singapore, like Little India and Chinatown. Concorde hotel's location is on the orchard road and is very convenient as it is near many shopping malls. There are also two SMRT stations near the hotel, the Dhoby Ghaut and Somerset stations. Would recommend this to others.

This is an old hotel that needs refurbishing. Bathrooms were not clean will mold all around the bathtub area. Carpet is tiret and needs replacing.

our overnight experience was fantastic. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We'll certainly certainly stay a tthe Concorde agin the next time we are in Singapore

The room was dirty, I have an allergy for dust and pollen and had to get extra medication just to make the stay acceptable. In the bathroom the tub was sticky and many hairs all over. The price was doubled when I wanted to extend my stay for another night (for workrelated reasons I couldn't relocate). The concierge was supposed to copy 3 documents for […] me and mixed them all up and made me check if he had any pages because (in his words) 'he didn't feel like it'. There are bars and brothels in the basement and even I (female) got harrased as through the groundfloor is the only entrance if one arrives by foot. When I requested a cab I was directed (with all my luggage) to the taxistand on the other side of the block. Internet charges were crazy. 20 dollars per day! The minibar didn't get refilled during my stay. OVerall the hotel was run down a bit. I could go on and on, but one good thing: the bed in the executive room. Excellent location. Would love to stay there for the 3rd time. The Premier category rooms are quite nice although breakfast buffet is kinda tasteless. But it's Singapore so be sure to head out and enjoy any kind of eastern or western breakfast outside...along Orchard road.

I have traveld to Singapore many times and stayed at various places. I found the Concorde a great location and value. It is located to the Financial District - a little away from the real hustle and bustle - but close enough to other hotels and businesses. Great Stay.

The Concorde Hotel was a pretty standard 4-star hotel. We only stayed there one night but it was fine, perhaps a little over priced. Some of the decor was ageing but overall nice. Staff were okay.

Nice hotel, great location. Only complain is that when we checked in, we did not receive any kind of warm welcome from the person checking us in, instead we were told that we could only check in at 4pm (instead of the standard 2pm!). No offer for complimentary drinks while wait etc (we asked). We were later upgraded to a room with a balcony (useless, […] as it was raining and we didn't use d balcony). This is the third time staying in Singapore and I knew there was a prostitute problem but this hotel brought it to light. to enter and exit from the hotel to Orchard Rd you have to go through the shops on the ground floor and there are hookers roaming the shops (as well as massage parlors) as soon as it gets dark. I even had one approach me in the lobby. Also, […] I booked a non smoking room and was told that they did not have one for me and I was welcome to go somewhere else but I would have lost my money with Hotels.com Facet leaked in the bathroom and the bulb was out in the entry way. Excellent location, good restaurants, spacious rooms, very friendly staff. If only it was possible to check out a bit later... Flights often leave Singapore late at night.
