The rooms were very comfortable but our bathroom was a bit small. Still - clean, elegant and home-y. The hotels history displayed throughout the lobby is a nice touch and the Whip is a great place to relax for a drink in the evening. As far as hotel bars and restaraunts go it was "topnotch". The spa was also a fine treat and the staff was very responsive […] when the pilot light was out in the sauna and needed to be replaced. The Inn is located on the Main St. which can be noisy. Request a room in the back of the Inn. The rooms are small but nicely decorated. We had a canopy bed that was very difficult to get into because the mattress was so high and there were no bed steps. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. This is a great place to stay no matter what the season (Fall, Summer, Winter, Spring). This is an authentic upscale Vermont Hotel. Built for travelers wanting to see the mountain of Vermont and experience the "alergy free" air of the Green Mountains. The hotel has done everything necessary to maintain Vermont charm and update itself with modern ameities. […] I love this hotel and it is my first place to stay when visit Stowe year round. Room was spacious with 2 queen beds, plenty of comfortable pillows and easy to use thermostat. Bathroom was very clean and updated. Very quiet. Only problem was needing to go outside to get to whirlpool area and of course outside pool. Breakfast was wonderful and restaurant available for nice dinner. We had a lovely stay at the Green Mountain Inn. The staff was very helpful and the Inn was most comfortable. I enjoyed walking out the door and being in the center of town. I loved the historical aspect of the Inn.

We had a fine overnight stay at the Green Mountain Inn. It is a building with an interesting history, with nicely updated furniture and fixtures. The staff was courteous and the buffet-style breakfast was pleasant. Handy downtown location.

we arrived at the inn after 2:00 pm , greeted at the desk, gave us directions to the room, asked if we needed anything . everything was great . breakfast was terrific i would recommend the pancakes to anyone !

Wonderful inn. Our room was outstanding. Terrific price. They take good care of their guests. The place to stay in Stowe.

The inn is happily situated in the center of town. The room looked exactly like the picture posted on the website. The people were lovely. I wanted a peaceful getaway and that was a perfect place: lovely lounge area with fireplace. The main dining room was closed for pre-Thanksgiving repair and sad I didn't get to eat there. After a 15 hr. drive, we were so excited to see this place and the warmth and comfort it offers. The room was beautiful (we did have a luxury suite) but it was our 40th anniversary and wanted to really have a great time. The breakfast was great but the dinner was probably one of the best I ever had. Reservations a must! The bar area was warm and cozy […] and the whole place had such an ambience about it. My Grandparents stayed here repeatedly in the 50's and 60's. They refused to stay anywhere else. I now know why. From the excellent front desk staff, the well appointed rooms and the beautiful New England decor I can only highly recommend this charming hotel. We took the deluxe room, which, while very overpriced, was clean and very comfortable. The Good: Clean, Quiet, very nice hotel staff. The Bad: Overpriced, poor water pressure in the toilet and shower, breakfast not included. Also, at the price I paid for my room, I didn't care to be nickel-and-dimed for breakfast. Fabulous hotel, beautiful decor in room and all communal areas, stunning. Our room was amazing and had extra area for TV with comfy sofas and chairs. Staff very helpful , breakfast lovely. Dinner in restaurant very good. Great location in heart of pretty Stowe.

We spent three nights at the hotel and it was a comfortable experience. There are some disadvantages, including parking being a little difficult, squeaky wooden floors that can keep you awake at night, and relatively long walks between various parts of the facility. We stayed in the main building and spent a lot of time climbing up and down stairs. Now […] for the positive things: The Whip restaurant and bar has good food and drinks with reasonable prices. The afternoon cookies and tea are a nice touch. There are computers available on each floor with internet access, and our bed was exceptionally comfortable. It's quaint, really "old time Vermont," and oozing historical atmosphere. The trade off, in the main hotel, is comfort. Rooms are small, but nicely furnished, bed is only an uncomfortable double, and the window air conditioner makes sleep difficult as it switches off and on. The food at the hotel was great, but, the room was like sleeping in the closet. Very tiny, with little room to move. The bed was very comfortable, and the room very clean.

This is a charming Inn/boutique hotel in Stowe that is handy to everything and walking distance to a few shops and restaurants. The spa is also worth a visit - the prices are very reasonable especially if you are coming from a big city. The "health club"/fitness center seems to be missing a treadmill but there are plenty of trails/paths near the hotel […] for walking or running outdoors. The heated pool did not have much traffic but was well worth a stop. The hotel keeps the pool around body temperature, so it feels great even with the cooler air outside. The inn's exterior and interior gave off a very cozy New England vibe. It was gorgeous outside as well as the hotel lobby areas. The restaurant had awesome food and the hotel staff was super nice. The continental breakfast I would highly recommend. They have their very own pastry chef making all sorts of yummy creations. As for the rooms my complaint […] is for the price you pay they need serious updating. The rooms are very "grandma" looking which for an inn in a small country village you expect that except the carpets were really gross (reddish/pink in color) and worn out, the bed was so hard you’ll wake up with back/hip pain, and the bathroom fixtures were really outdated. I don’t even think Grandma would have been comfortable in the bed! One bonus thing about the rooms is there stocked with Green Mountain coffee and a Keurig to brew it in (very modern in an outdated room). Everything about the hotel was great! Very nice, clean, good location, nicely decorated. We liked it. Then one day, we were using the sauna and member of the staff (Chris ???) came over to tell us we need to leave because it was 10PM already, so we did. We went to the changing room to shower and get dressed. 5 minutes later Chris storms the ladies locker […] room/shower to clean up (so he said), walking in on my gf and a friend naked!!! no knocking or anything!!! As they yell at him to get out, he just says they should not be in there anyway because it's past 10PM!!! No apologies just attitude! We went to talk to the front desk and all the supervisor said was he would talk to Chris about it!!!! Very poor response, made the whole situation even more upsetting!!! Next day we got a card and little box of chocolates, too little too late!!! Don't even care about the chocolates, Mr. Chris was rude, unprofessional and never apologized! So although the hotel was great over all, this incident ruined the whole stay and would not want anyone else to be treated like that! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The gmi certainly lived up to its reputation. The Inn has all the comforts of home, is central to all recreational and shopping opportunities, and has a relaxing atmosphere.

We felt like we stepped back into history. Room was awesome! Would definitely recommend.

We were quite pleased with our room & the quality of guest amenities. Private sitting rooms and beautiful views abound. Service was at very high levels. Nice place but for the price I would have like a less noisy AC wall unit and street. If you can take a room not in main lodge, do it.

loved the hotel, arrived a little early but was able to go straight to our room, was pleasantly surprised. everyone was extremely helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and hiking, ate at the restaurant which was very good,. would definitely stay again.

Nice experience, staff, location, pool. Bring your bike for the Stowe Recreation path!

We really enjoyed our stay and the beauty of the area and took advantage of the recreation path in Stowe two days and did it all. The views from the top of Mt. Mansfield were awesome due to excellent weather and that was a plus for us. Everyone was friendly and answered our questions willingly and made our stay an excellent experience. This hotel feels like a bed and breakfast, with the sitting rooms and friendliness of the front desk staff. The rooms are quaint, but have been updated so that the modern amenities are there. Each room is a little unique, so it doesn't feel cookie cutter.
