I stayed here on my vacation and it was amazing. The rooms are really nice and the beds were really comfortable. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly. Everything is in walking distance. It may be on the pricey side for some but it was an incredible place to stay. I plan on staying there again when I go back.

Absolutly wonderful hotel. All staff were friendly and effieicnt and the hotel itself is immaculate. In the centre of town but quiet with windows closed and A/C on. Did not eat there but drinks in the lobby bar were great and the spa/gym are a really lovely extra.Wonderful stay at an excellent price through Hotels.com.

At checkin the hotel was seemingly unaware that I had booked a club level room even though my confirmation printout said as much. After about 10 minutes back & forth (and my request to speak to a male manager as opposed to the college girl I started out with) they relented (and apologized) and checked me into the club level room I had reserved & paid […] for. They flat out refused to provide me a free wifi login so I could also show them the email confirming the club level room as well (even though club level guests have access to free ethernet internet connections in their rooms AND free internet connected computers in the club level lounge). Checkin troubles aside, the hotel is VERY nice and an extremely convenient location. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here in Wellington AND availing yourself of the club level amenities which included the afforementioned free internet access (sorry, NO free wifi), an extremely comfy and well supplied club level lounge, & free access to their pool, hot tub, sauna, & health club facilities- which in & of themselves are great before/after a long flight. The club lounge breakfast is more than ample and the free coffees and soft drinks all day are great with varied offerings to choose from. Throw in free drinks at night along with evening snacks & you got a winner here. Try to book the 9th floor nearest the lounge if possible (as opposed to the 8th floor). The staff was helpful but could have been more knowledgeable about local places/spots, etc. The NZD $35 pre-arranged private car to the airport is MORE THAN worth it as a metered taxi will cost about the same.
