Heat not good and they did not clean the room after the first night. Not even fresh towels. Has gone downhill since last month.

The front dest lady was really rude, and our room was suppose to be non-smoking but reeked of cigarette smell. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was happy with the price, cleanliness, comfort and convenient location of this hotel. It is super close to the casinos. The traffic was a little noisy at night but that is to be expected-i still slept very well. The staff were super nice. Everything was very decent exactly what I expected. No complaints

The room was clean enough. Just stayed one night to go snow boarding so the price was right for what we needed it for.

the hotel was very dirty (i would not allow my little one to take off her shoes) the owners are extreemly rude! (ii thought she was going to kill me for asking for 2 room keys) the "hot tub" was more like a bathtub... very bummed out over all! 1 good thing it is close to everything, shopping, skiing, casinos etc.. bring your own sheets!

After a full day of skiing, a comfortable bed & clean room is all I need to recharge myself for activities on the following day, and I got it as I expected. A nice small desk with lamp was also very useful for me to work on my laptop. The free Wi-Fi signal strength is good enough for checking emails and web browsing, without any noticeable delay, which […] often happen to me in other hotels. value for the money.

You get what you pay for....very basic motel room, worn carpet/bedding, loose tile in the bathroom, etc. But in S. Lake Tahoe center (1.5 miles from the casinos)... Run by rather traditional E. Indians, the lobby adjoining their home, and smells of curry, if that's your pleasure... I t-h-i-n-k other one-star motels in the area are a bit nicer.

This is a very cheap hotel so don't stay here if you're expecting 5 star service. The woman in the front was very sweet and made me coffee the morning I checked out. It's 2 minutes away from the California Lodge at Heavenly, a great location if you're there for skiing/snowboarding. Things to be aware of- the shower was extremely small. The hotel was located right next to the coast of lake tahoe. The hotel was conveniently located on highway 50 and was very close to Gondola rides. There were many shopping centers at walking distance, so it was very convenient to get anything. The staff was very friendly and polite. They had Jacuzzi bath too near the swimming pool. Friendly staff and a reasonable rate for the location during ski season. The hot tub is nice on sore muscles.

Room has good space. Parking is convenient.the bath room is too small and shower is low. Not too bad for an overnight ski trip

Stayed one night. The towels were stained red, i want to think lipstick. The place was not warm enough, it seems like they had the heater fixed to a certain temp. Very simple, beds were comfy but i wudnt sleep under those sheets, i also took my own pillow. Shower is made for people 5ft or less. The managers seemed nice.

very resonable price. very close to skiing. very friendly staff. The room was already warmed -up for me when I arrived. I would stay there again.

I went to this hotel for 1 night, as I have in teh past. However this time when I went with a buddy. I asked the front desk for extra blankets and pillows, as it was cold, and they questioned me as to why I needed that. Then they finally said they would and they brought it to us (1 blanket and 2 pillow), let me remind you there are 2 of us. Then our […] heater went out in the middle of the night, when it is 10 degrees outside and they would only give us a small place heater that barley changed the room temp. the family room suite was exceptionally clean, and comfortable the perfect space for a 3/4 member family. owners are cheap, so i had to bargain the online deal, take your receipt for paid confirmation or they will try to jip-you out of this great offer!

I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the room accommodated my needs.

I wouldn't stay here with my 3 kids but it was ok. It was clean... We had to ask for heat but they did have it. No AC, needs maintenance, squeaky floors, LOUD neighbors due to thin walls/floors. I understand it was a 'motel' but still was not satisfied. Inside the room there was mold. Carpet was dirty the edges around the shower were also molded. Only reason we stayed here was because it was booked by a company wanting us to buy a timeshare. Never will be deal with that company nor will we stay here.

Right on the strip at South Shore. Not bad for a night but I'd stay someplace more expensive if it was longer than one night when passing through.

We knew booking online was going to lead to some misleading pictures and reviews. What we didn't know was that our beds would contain sticks and cigarette burns. That our room would not have a refrigerator and the floor would be dirty and covered with a large stain. The silhouette cutouts that were left from a bachelorette party were also a surprise. […] To top it all off, the front desk had me write down my credit card number and security key in order to "protect me". Although there were 3 of us I had to ask for a third bath towel. My room was not cleaned while we were there and no new towels were ever given. The shower was sized for children (the shower head was way too low). All in all it was a mediocre experience at best.

I would not recommend this hotel, nothing but problems from check in til check out! Not even to just stop and shower, had to practically get on knees to shower and I'm average height!

Bad place to stay, cold shower,no a/c. You had throw yourself against the door just to get it to close. The bed was hard,and the all you hear all night is the cars racing up and down the road. Also no blow dryer or coffee in the room. Bad hotel......

Didn't sleep all night. Heater didn't work. The only heat we got was to turn on the shower. The bathroom door didn't shut. The only thing that worked was the TV. The bed was like sleeping on a lumpy boxspring. We were so sore when we got up that we couldn't wait for morning to get out of the room. The attendant was polite.

We stayed two night here, had two rooms, the hot tub was discolored by its' surroundings, trees and chemicals. Manager was very nice, but had issues understanding her dialect. The sink in our room spat up gunk from pipes. Air conditioners in either room did not work. Ancient electrical caused problems, no alarm clock. I stayed at this motel along with two friends on the 4th of July. The condition of the room was deplorable. There were missing tiles on the shower stall, unfinished wall in the bathroom and the shower curtain had black moldew. There was no operating ac/heater or a telephone in the room. The water in the swimming pool and hot tub was not clear but a […] bit murky, The owner of the motel told me the water was "fine". The last straw for me was when this same owner wanted to limit how much ice I took from the ice machine. He actually stood in the door way to the room where the ice machine was located, presumably to watch how much ice I took. The cost of the room was overpriced for the condition of the room and motel in general, Unfortunately the owners appear only interested in making a buck but not making their motel more pleasurable for guests not to mention their horrible customer service(ie ice machine issue), They know the location of their motel is in a popular tourist area of Lake Tahoe and therefore take advantage with their exhorbitant rates, Thank you for reading and please do not patronize this motel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The one thing I really want out of a motel is to get a good night sleep. You wont get one here unless you like to sleep on the floor. The bed was so hard that I was wondering if they has substituted the box spring for the matress. They said thad all there "matresses" were like that. I still have back ache from the place.

The people run the place are very nice but the hotel is a little run down. We stayed just 1 night, just passing through.

The motel had a very small bathrom. That is my only complaint. Also I wanted a smoking room but the only room they gave us was non smoking and they gave us an ashtray to use.

The hotel was clean and comfortable for the price. I've stayed there twice and will stay there again.

The Travel Inn in South Lake Tahoe offers the best service, location, comfort, etc. Rooms are spacious and well priced, TV's have tons of channels, and they even have larger rooms with 3 beds. AND a HOT TUB. I went with 5 people and had a blast. Sitting outside in the California sun, in a hot tub, just this last weekend March 26th 2011. One of the greatest […] locations in South Lake, I kid you not. Literally across the street from Heidi's, the most amazing breakfast restaurant on the lake. Walking distance from CVS, Big Daddy's Burgers, Sato Sushi, Indian restaurant, Thai, liquor store, Safeway(which has a Starbucks), and an Italian Restaurant. But thats not even the best part, the building touching the Travel Inn is The Brewery, serving the lakes best locally brewed lager. Coolest bar and restaurant I've seen, with giant 6 foot brew pots right behind the bar. Great people, service and food(Pizza and Calzones anyone?) Just a 1 minute drive to Ski Run Boulevard, seriously 1 minute. 2-3 minute drive to state line. Nevada and California intersecting just 2 minutes from the Travel Inn, with the best location and amazing comfort and amenities, this hotel is our destination for the next FOREVER. It was great experience, great price, location, clean room, pleasant people. I stayed there 2 already and i highly recommend it to you, if you want to save money! :)

Quiet, simple and clean motel is located right next door to the South Lake Tahoe brewery. After a long day on the slopes we check in, get clean, drink until we're happy and don't have to worry about driving home. Rates are very affordable and the people that run it are very helpful. A number one choice in staying at south lake.

This hotel had a very nice staff, but the rooms are out dates by 20 years or more. The linens, furiture, appliances, and horrible trim paint had us disappointed. I would not stay there again. The kids teased me the whole time about how cheep I must be.

Our stay was average. Nothing too bad, but nothing great either. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The shower was weird though. I turned it on hot and I would get phases of hot and then phases of cold. Kinda sucked, but was bearable. The place is ok for the price.

Dirty, uncomfortable and unpleasant! I would have rather slept in my car. P.S. something was growing in the shower.

travel in was good, cheap price. But I went in the winter and the room was pretty cold. Its hard to sleep in a cold room, the bed comforters were pretty thin. Check in and out was quick and efficient.

We will never stay here again. Cheap price, cheap motel.

Arrived a day late, so I only stayed one night. Room was ok, not bad and not great. Mattress was rather hard. You could feel the inner springs.
