It was fine. Carpet was very old, but the room was clean. Could definitely be remodeled..

Not a 5 star hotel by any means, but it was OK. Had issues with their pool stuff, as the heater was not working and the water was freezing and the jets did not work in the hot tub, so all you could do was sit in hot water. TV's are small and old school and beds are nothing special. They only had 2 towels in a room for 4 people and the 2nd day I had […] to go to desk to get towels as when they cleaned they took the dirty towels but didn't leave any new ones. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient to everything. Unfortunately it's also very old and shabby. It desperately needs updating. The hallways are not lit too well and overcrowded with tables. Seating in the pool area is limited to 2 plastic chairs. Although our room was very clean the worn carpet gave it am uncomfortable […] feel. We stayed in room 201 which sits directly above the laundry room. Every time the laundry was used, the floor, bed & dressers vibrated so much we were concerned things might fall off. The bed also desperately needs a new mattress as we both kept rolling towards the middle. I would not stay here again, beds are hard as a rock. Rooms need to be updated

My hotel stay was quite nice. The staff was well informed and helpful. My only concern was that I was staying in a no smoking room and it smelled a bit like smoke.

My wife objected to my choice of this hotel due to some bad reviews she read, but after our stay she agreed that it was a good choice. The staff was very helpful, friendly and outgoing. I have worked in several hotels -- polite an helpful is to be expected -- but this staff was exceptional. The rugs were worn, and the room key was actually made of metal, […] not plastic, but the showers were tile and the grout was clean. The linens fresh, the Internet perfect, plenty of work space (two tables). I did not try the pool and hot tub, but saw others using them. The continental breakfast was a bit short on variety (no hot protein) but the cereal and yoghurt were name brand and everything was fresh and good. How did this place get only a two star rating? While the room was simple and decent, we were most impressed with the polite and hospitable staff. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations based on other motels we have stayed at - they gave us a nice selection. Just refinished the indoor pool and it was nice.

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. It was not clean, it was extremely old and the condition was horrible. The towels were stained the bathroom was falling apart.

My flight was cancelled and I needed a room. I booked over the phone and when I got there a few minutes later, everything was ready to go. The receptionist was so nice! There is a great mexican restaraunt attached to the hotel, which was really convenient. Thumbs up!

The room was cheep. It was dumpy & old for a Shilo. It worked for one night but I should have paid another $15.00 & stayed someplace nicer.

This hotel is pretty much a run down piece of garbage with dirty old furniture and weak amenities. That said, it is conveniently located near the highway and was an excellent place for us to stay with our dogs. For the price, its good enough for a quick night if your passing through, not much more.

Not a 5 star resort, but close to the freeway and service is of good quality.

Deskl clerk was rude. Hotel was a dump. Run down and dirty. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Overall, a decent place to stay if you have pets. however, there were burn marks on the carpet in our "non-smoking" room and we couldn't seem to regulate the heat to a comfortable, constant , temperature. The bed was very comfortable but we did not sleep well due to temperature changes all night.

We were forced to stay here due to traveling with pets. Everything was falling apart. Beware if you decide to stay here.

All the hotels in Casper are about the same quality. This one has by far the LOWEST PRICE! Very clean, nice pool and great staff.

Older hotel convenient comfortable

Need some much needed renovations. i.e. pillows, beds, and tvs. The rooms smelled also. I do not like sleeping in an armpit.

Fantastic use of a fish-eye lens in the photographs of the rooms. My wife and I had a Queen size bed in a 10' x 12' room, which wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't also a table, two chairs, and a 48" armoire (with an 18" tube TV). Also the mattress was so soft my backside almost hit the box-spring. Our room was facing the on-ramp to I25, so sleeping […] with the window open was loud. The hotel is clean, and they do allow pets, but that is about the only positive thing I can say. The shower was tricky to get to shut off as well as the toilet. There was a Mexican Restaurant attached to the hotel. I tried the food and it was bad. I told the waitress that the meat smelled old and she said they had just taken it out of the freezer in morning and this was at 4pm.

Yes, it's an old hotel. The room key is still a KEY. The TV is from 1985. But if you're looking for a clean place to lay your head for the night and you're not too picky, then this is perfect. It's right off the interstate. IHOP is across the street. This is a no thrills stay. It needs maintenance especially in the bathroom.

Room was fine but bed very soft. Pool very small and old and hot tub being repaired. Not too bad for the price.

It seems like this hotel's management has decided to lower the rates and thus stop maintaining the property well. None of the ice machines were working, there was no exterior locking door on the building (the door was there, the lock was missing), and the hot tub, sauna, and steam room were out of order. Though convenient to I-90, we spent the night concerned that our car would be broken into. The people who worked there were nice, but we felt bad for them! The rooms were very noisy and for seveal hours we listened to someone yell profanities and pound on a door somewhere near our room. No one ever came and told them to be quiet.

This is an older hotel that could use some updating. They appear to be doing some in the pool/hot tub area, but hotels.com failed to mention that. The hot tub was closed during our stay. The cleaning solution was so thick in our room it burned the back of my throat and I'm not at all sensitive this way. Also, all the ice machines were broken, but the front desk would give you a bucket if you asked for it. The halls were dark and dingy, and the continental breakfast was a free for all. Last one goes hungry.

Will start with the good stuff and will recommend if you are staying only one night and don't want to use the pool. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. The manager, Tammie, was great. Though outdated the room was clean, the beds soft and bedding smelled clean.TV in great working order with a nice selection of new movies to rent, the bathroom was clean […] and the hotel far enough away from the freeway that there was no noise. Housekeeping staff obviously does a great job! Coffee maker in the room was wonderful but check that you have sugar and stir sticks or you will be going to the lobby! I felt safe in the hotel though it was not in a "great" location. The bad: Air conditioner did not blow very hard and even on the coldest setting the air was more warm than cold or cool. NO outdoor pool and the indoor area is confining and feels and smells dirty. I felt dirty after getting out of the pool, the filters were not working, and the sauna and hot tub are STILL under repair (read previous comments). There was dirt all over the floor in the pool area and IN the pool, it was murky and the chlorine was overwhelming. The water pressure was GREAT but the water changed temperatures constantly and either froze or scalded me and I spent a lot of time trying to adjust the temp. Would not recommend putting a child in the shower without supervision. There was no 'continental breakfast' to speak of except over ripe (close to moldy) oranges in a Halloween bowl, ice machine STILL broken and when I asked for ice at the main desk was told there was only a little left and she would not give me any. Still have a 30 dollar pending charge on my debit card (for deposit) 2 days after i checked out. You can hear people talking in the room next to you and a train track is close by so you can hear the horn sound as well.

The Hotels.com site highlighted a pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, and exercise room. The truth was the hot tub was being "rebuilt", the steam bath was "out of order", The pool was so dirty that even my grandchildren refused to enter it The sauna worked but honestly it was probably the shabbiest sauna I have ever been in and I have enjoyed over a hundred […] saunas worldwide. To top it off the ice makers were not working and they said we could get ice at the front desk. When I went to the desk, the response was "We are out of ice" I drove one block to a gas station to get ice. DO NOT GO TO SHILO INN IN CASPER. TO THE PRESIDENT OF SHILO INNS. Definitely some deferred maintenance that is long past due on this property. Carpets are worn, showers are small and leave a lot to be desired. Generally, a good room for the price but not for the four or five star traveller.

The first room we were directed to had obviously been used, with pillows on top of bedspreads in disarray, a crumpled up towel near the sink, and used tissues in the garbage can. The ice machine was "out of order," so we had to go to the front desk and ask for ice. We were only provided two full-size towels, so we had to go to the front desk for two […] more towels as well. It's a great place to stay! The people are friendly and helpful. It's clean comfortable rooms have a fridge and microwave in each room. There washer and dryers available to guest. In all my times staying in a motel, without a doubt the worst. The hot tub was being repaired, new tile, sauna didnt work, pool was so dingy, that wouldnt even put my fingers in water, paneling in room was scratched and chipped, breakfast a joke, crammed into desk reception area, and if i had looked in advance would not have considered staying there. […] Booked because of price and had recently stayed at another Shiloh Inn week before, difference of night and day. Low on luxuries, but clean and comfortable with Interstate convenience at a reasonable price. Sufficiently appointed and well maintained, unlike another low frills hotel utilized on the same trip. Cold, quiet A/C. Met expectations.

The Shilo Inn was such a nice retreat after a long weekend camping in Yellowstone. It's right off the freeway and was a wonderful stopping point on our trip back home. I'd look forward to staying there a second time if I'm ever out that way again.

This hotel is in a great location. Close to highway with ample parking for larger vehicles. Hotel was very dark and dingie looking inside. Rooms where okay . There are a few visable upgrades however, there are many more that are needed. Ice maker was not working and the restaraunt was not open. There have been no occomodations made for smokers.
