Great place to hide away from city of Singapore. With shuttle bus provided by the resort to the central of Yishun, shopping, dinning and getting to town is easy. Great facilities.

A 4 Star Hotel as advertised but the room and its amenities are not up to the standards. Room itself is so small that fits only a bed. Washroom is half the size of the normal. Bathtub fits only small persons. This could be a good hotel but is let down by the fact it is dated and shabby in some cases. I could imagine it was once a quite nice hotel but its best days are past it. I would expect better of Copthorne hotels and so was a little dissappointed. Don't me wrong its ok and does the job. Gym is ok and pool is pleasant enough for a quick dip but overall […] I would not rush back. The breakfast was poor. On the second day I stuck with continental (cereal and toast) and the rest was just not very appealing. I think its rating of 4.3 at my time of booking was flattering and I think its questionable as to whether this should be considered a 4 star hotel. The hotel is too far away from the main attractions of the city. It could do.with updating and some modernization. The offer of an area to change in after checking out was gladly excepted but once there was very disappointing, it was very hot, I had to track somebody down for clean towels and had no secure area to leave valuables. Dialed for room services but only after 4 calls, the line was picked up and the room service was slow. We had 2 guests staying in the room but only 1 set of bathing robe and bedroom slipper was provided. The room was not maintained in clean condition, bed sheet was dirty (my boyfriend had rashes overnight and I had weird red spots all over my body). […] The room was dusty and everything was run down. Excellent hotel. Within short walking distance to Clarke Quay, about 20 minutes walk to China town, the hop on, hop off bus stops outside the next door hotel. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to take you to Orchard Road, but if you can walk there in about 30 minutes. The hotel was good value for money, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a little disappointing as it was quite small and the day bed had a couple of stains.

As we travel a lot to Singapore on Business we have stayed in a large number of hotels. As this was a holiday travel we booked a package deal, however for a full price hotel, the state of the bathroom was not satifactory. The quality of thewalls in the main room where also not what we would consider to be a full star hotel.

Well priced by comparison and a nice good quality hotel. Service was very good and it was hard to find fault with the hotel. Location was convenient and just across the road from the river with loads of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Incovenient location. There is nothing around. Have to catch a taxi to go to some places that actually are still open. It's good that have shutter bus. The room is not clean - sticky bathroom floor with a toilet that is covered with poo stains (plenty of them on the seat cover!) Service was not nice. No one helps you with luggages when you arrive. Very pleasant service and fast check in and check out. Was upgraded from deluxe to superior for free which was great! Had an extra balcony! Loved my stay here and will love to go again! Cheers!!!

Nothing unusual but I would like local hotels to start thinking the way hotels in China are operating, especially the provision of toileteries which are lacking in local hotels.

The hotel allows their contractor to perform refurbishing work on their function rooms. The noise woke us up on Sunday morning and we could not have a sleep-in on Sunday. Other than this incident, I'm quite happy with the hotel.

A very nice and obviously popluar hotel. Great staff, very helpful and attentive. Pool area is nice and welcoming after the humidity of a day sightseeing. The bar has a large screen where a lot of sport is shown although you may have to also contend with the house band playing. Air con worked a treat and the Tiger beer was super cold - lovely!! Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Had the club room so the executive lounge was okay. The free drinks were alright for cocktail hour, they only had tiger beer and basic well drinks. Bathroom was WAY TOO SMALL! tub was slippery and pretty high off the ground. Hot water .... sometimes...Location was good and the staff was excellent.

The hotel staff are very helpful and obliging. The only downside is the attention to cleanliness - dust found on the shelves in bathroom and wardrobes. Overall, it is a lovely hotel at a good price and its location is superb.

Although I recognized that this hotel is 3+ hotel (?) from my past experience to stay two years ago, their services are awful for my stay this time especially in the following two areas: 1. Staff at front desk My booking through Expedia was entitled for free WiFi access and free breakfast. The hotel repeatedly insisted that my plan does not include […] free breakfast, even though I showed a print-out of my booking confirmation from Expedia to staffs at front desk. 2. Taxi The location of the hotel is on Havelock Rd, which has high traffic. That's why I booked this hotel to expect to take taxi easily. However, my experience was awful again. I asked a staff at the entrance to call a taxi for me, he just said "stay here to wait for a taxi to come." In common practice in Singapore, any hotels turn the signal on to let taxi drivers know that guests are waiting for taxis. He did not do anything. Too lazy. I did not take a taxi finally. Then, I moved to next hotel to take a taxi. For anyone who is considering booking this hotel, I recommend you to consider Studio M Hotel or Grand Copthorne Hotel in the "Singapore River" area. The staff at front counter and restaurant were rude, distant and unapproachable. I felt like I was imposing when asking question about the hotel eg where to find laundry (which was incorrect). The staff are the face of the hotel and unfortunately it wasn't pretty. I'd read other reviews where people said staff were bad and thought it was just the customer […] but towards the end of the third day I started to develop contempt for the staff as I really didn't feel welcome yet I was a paying guest. The best was like sleeping on a concrete slab and when asked for addition pillows to help soften it they never arrived. Restaurants and cafes of Robertson Quay are only a short walk away. For anything else you need to take a taxi. If you are looking for a basic, clean room with a comfortable bed, this is a good deal. The service is not comparable with some of the other hotels in the area, such as Studio M, etc. Very popular with Chinese tourists.

A bit disspointed.It was comfortable and fit for purpose but the superior rooms are not. they are the same as any other room in any other hotel. The staff are very good.
