"Montbleu - Hotel/Casino in Lake Tahoe"
I just stayed at the Montbleu hotel/casino at the end of January. My first impression of the hotel was that it definitely needed some updating, but it wasn't in terrible shape (with the exception of the musty smell). When we checked in around 3pm on Thursday, it took them 15 minutes to locate our reservation even though we had fully paid in advance […] of our stay. This was inconvenient, but not a big deal. However, when we arrived at our room, I noticed that the room/bathroom did not look anything like the pictures I had seen on Montbleu's website. This was particularly discouraging because we hadeven paid an additional amount per night to be upgraded to a Premier Room. The 2 things that bothered me the most abour the hotel were: 1) The maids never came to tidy our room on our first full day there (Friday). I found this to be extremely poor service. 2) Because Southwest airlines had lost our snowboards, they were to be delivered to the Montbleu later on Thursday evening. After dinner we came back to the hotel and saw our snowboards sitting by the front desk so my husband simply told the person at the front desk that the boards were ours and could we take them. Their response was, Sure!, without even checking his ID or validating that we were staying in the hotel. This was particularly bothersom and egregious as our boarding equiptment is expensive. So no, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially after walking through Harrah's and Harvey's as these hotels are much nicer and, in my opinion, they would be worth the additional money. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Not worth a 2nd visit"
Pro - staff is friendly (housekeeping, maintenance, front desk) Con - rooms are a little outdated and presented with a dirty tub (hair) and unworking plug. Casino is on the small side and the dealers seemed unhappy in general. Nothing more to say...

Wonderful experience! We are planning to have our wedding in Lake Tahoe this coming October. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and we were quite pleased with the front desk personnel. They upgraded our room free of charge (there was a long line so we did have to wait) due to our "inconvenience." "Great casino hotel in South Lake"
Stayed here 2 nights. It was fab. The pool/spa is incredible. You can spend a day in there without paying a dime. Everything you expect to be expensive such as room service is totally affordable. Compared to other casino hotels nearby, this is the best choice.
"Mont Bleu - Tahoe Great Stay!"
We stayed at Mont Bleu in Tahoe because our time share was not available. Great decision! The food and service was outstanding. The room was quite large and comfortable with a shower bath area that was overly spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
"Smokey Dingy Casino - Close to Everything"
Pros: Rates are reasonable, the location is close to Reno, and the major south Lake Tahoe ski resorts. Cons: The hotel is infused with cigarette smoke and attracts an eclectic hipster crowd. Don't count on getting any sleep when they are hosting a concert. The staff (specifically waitresses and ski shop employees) are unprofessional and discourteaous. "Smokey, worn out"
This hotel was a bit smokey. Yes, it is a casino, but the ventilation was only good at the gambling floor. Elsewhere the cigarette smoke was palpable (hallways, elevators, restrooms, etc...). We ate at the hotel bufffet on the first nioght of our 2 night stay, only to get food poisoning. My wife spent the weekend shut up in the hotel room trying to […] get her strength back. Buyer Beware with this hotel. To my surprise I was charged an additional $4.50 per room (had 2 rooms). Although my receipt stated that I had prepaid my bill in FULL, I was still handed an additional bill for parking, spa, pool, and gym fee (none of which I used). Tried to talk to the manager, but he would not wave the fee. I understand that the $9.00 […] is not the world, but that is not the point. I felt this hotel was ripping me off. "Good stay, but with some kinks"
I like this hotel because of the location and rooms in general, but what I was not happy with was that there was a leak in the shower wall, which due to layout of the room meant that when taking a shower some of the water ended up in the floor of the main room. Not a big leak (puddle was about the size of a half of letter size paper), but it just did […] not look very good there. Also the food in the buffet was below my expectations and trust me - they were pretty low going into it. I think the best comment came from my 10 year old son who while eating chow mein asked me "what is it?" and I told him that it was "chow mein" and he declared that it was so "bland that there was nothing chow meiny about it". Oh and on the last day of our stay in the morning when in a rush to the final championship game the electricity went out and we were forced to finish our food in a dark, WHILE some of the slot machines were still on. "Go somewhere else"
When we first arrived to our room we were blasted with chemical fumes as the door opened. You cant open a window and apparently they dumped a couple gallons of concentrate air 'freshening' chemicals. We became instantly dizzy and nauseas- one of my eyes swoll shut after 2 mins with the door open. After two mins our neighbors down the hall came out of […] their room and were repulsed to find that our funky room had now ranked up the ENTIRE FLOOR. Montbleu first tried to downgrade our upgraded room for over an hour until they would give us a joke of an 'upgrade'. At least the replacement wasn't a fumagation chamber. The next day hotel staff refused to let me up to my room because I left my key in the room- even though it was shared between two guests- the other guest was with me and had their key. They were rude and stated 'hotel policy',after 5 mins of waiting for my partner to get their key the same person let a male / female couple up with one key but said it was 'different' because we were a male / male couple. Absolutely blatant discrimination based on relationship preference. "Great Getaway"
The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything you would need. Quick 3 minute drive to zephyr cove. My king size bed was very cozy. I did not get a room with a view of the lake, but I did have a view of the mountainside behind the hotel which was nice. It seemed as if the windows would open (I like for summer). The workout facility room is nice and clean as well. "Horrible"
We found an underwear in the room and the neighbors were rude. Mont Blue charges for everything, including internet.
"Good location but dated room"
The hotel and other hotels in Lake Tahoe NV side really stink with cigarette smell. They should fix this ASAP. Rooms need renovations. TV etc are old. Jakuzzi in the room look strange.
"Needs to kick it up a notch"
There was no snow when we were there so the whole town was pretty deserted. You would think the hotel staff would be trying extra hard to keep us happy, but instead it felt almost like they thought they were being inconvenienced. The concierge was particularly useless. He not only seemed to not care, but he did not give us correct information! Said […] no resorts had snow - not true, we called Heavenly and spent a nice day tubing and playing. He didn't bother to mention there was no buffet open, or that there was a kids arcade down the street at Harvee's even thought we asked abut activities for our 7 yr old daughter. We decided he was "broccoli" for all the good he did. Having a hot tub occupying the room we were obviously sharing with a young child was pret weird - surely was another room in the practically empty hotel that would have been more suitable. "Hotel.com staff not efficient"
My fiancee arrived at the hotel earlier than me. Since I booked the reservation in my name, she was not able to check in without me. This is understandable. I called Hotel.com to add her to the reservation so that she don't need to wait for me. They took them an hour and half and wasted our precious time over the phone to get things in order. I and […] my fiancee were very frustrated. I spent 40 minutes with the first staff and nothing solved. The second one added the name but forgot to fax the change over to the hotel. "Good Stay for an Even Better Price"
Our stay at the Mont Bleu at Stateline in South Lake was a good one and always is. It is convenient to the slopes, dining, and entertainment. Accommodations are very good, clean, convenient and Hotels.com always gets you the best price. Hotel staff from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant staff were very cheerful and nice. Mont Bleu has eliminated […] the "Resort Fee" add-on of $10 a day which raised the intense ire of hotel guests, including me, a couple of years ago. There was, this time, a nominal add-on "facilities fee" of $2.50 a day that I was told was added on by Hotels.com for whatever reason. "Great Stay that Ended in Frustration"
Took an overnight trip to see a show in Tahoe. The staff was friendly and room service was excellent. The room was clean and the rates were reasonable. I even won some money. It was overall a great stay until we departed. After checking out we went to the parking garage to retrieve our car and to my complete surprise, one of the hubcaps to my Cadillac […] was gone. I would stay again but I would suggest that they beef up security in their parking lot. "Meets min handicap standards"
The design is not to favorable to those in wheelchairs or scooters. There are only 2 ramps to get to the casino floor and 1 mini lift to access one section. My wife got stuck in the mini lift twice. Beds were to hard for me. They say feather beds, so I expected soft. There were feather pillows which I don't like and a feather comfortable. But mattress was very hard

"Smelled like cigarettes and the service was poor"
I ordered a late dinner through room service an was told it would take ten minutes to arrive at my room. When nearly an hour had passed I called in room dining and they told me that they had no idea what I was talking about and were un apologetic and actually a bit rude about forgetting my order. "Great room service could be bette"
The rooms were clean and comfortable, loved the location and ameneties, but the customer service was lacking, the hotel attendants had an attitude especially when we checked in. we would stay there again, just because the hotel itself is so nice and the ameneties are that good.
"Great location... needs room renovation"
I sort of feel like my tagline should have been "false advertising", but that's a bit harsh. I know South Lake Tahoe is old and semi-run down. I've been there regularly for 15 years. But when Montbleu was advertised as a NEW hotel on the website, I assumed that meant "renovated". Not so much! The main floor/lobby/casino has been updated semi-recently, […] but the rooms... still good 'ole Ceasar's Palace... mold/grime/decoration and all. My best advice... come to Montbleu for fun (it's a really great casino and Ceira is the BEST resturant), but don't sleep here 'til they are forced to renovate the rooms. Marriot in the Heavenly Village is a WAY better/cleaner option if you actually want to sleep during your stay. The bed a Montbleu was absolutely the worst!
