Excellent service! Hotel room could use a remodel.

I was disappointed that the advertised price didn't include overnight parking. I think you should at least inform people that parking is not covered in the cost of the hotel room..

This location is great. The free street car is right across the street to go downtown. The room was small, clean, mattress okay but not great. The restaurant on the top floor had seen better days. I had an appetizer and left to go elsewhere, which was easy because of the convenience of the location. I would stay there again.

Run down, my room needed maintenance (hole in bathroom door, bathtub grout in poor condition). Colleague in another room had to do his own maintenance on a few things as well.

I was not impressed with the amenities at the hotel. The pictures on the website looked better than the hotel room itself. The customer service at the front desk was good. My friends and I were also locked out of our room for almost 2 hours while maintenance had to repair our key card machine on our room door. Very dissapointed.

I stayed 4D/3N here with my Mum, Aunt & Sis who flew in from Malaysia just so that I could show them around Portland. Location of this hotel was excellent! Just across the street from the TriMet (going into the city was within the Free Loop, so traveling was free). The hotel itself was a bit shabby. I understand its age, but did not appreciate large chunks of the bathtub missing. Also expected regular dining room wait staff in the main rooftop dining room. However, found signs directing customers to order food and drinks at the bar and then given a number on a small stand for delivery. The service at the hotel was fantastic, they are very customer oriented. The temperature in the room was uncomfortably warm initially but we opened a window and it was comfortable for the remainder of our stay. When we first arrived the person at the front desk for check in was kind of rude and we were an hour early and she said I have only one room that fits your reservation but it is on the far side near the road and it is loud. If you come back later I can have a better one. So we came back at three our original check in time and she said we still don't […] have a room for you with a king size bed...none of the others are clean yet but I can give you one with two queens for the same price. So we said fine. The room was small and over looked the busy road anyway and it was loud. The bathroom was dirty especially the shower. The soap holder was barley hanging on the wall. Additionally they make you pay 12 dollars for parking in their parking lot which is really the only convient place to park without fear of your car being broken in to. The neigborhood is not really very nice. Homeless people outside. There were also some people yelling at each other just outside the lobby entrance and they were street walkers. The thing about the parking that upset me is that they don't tell you about the fee until you get there. I would not and will not stay at this place again. It is sad the Red Lion used to be a nice hotel chain my grandmother was a head chef at the one just outside the Sea-Tac airport that used to be so nice, now it is a double tree. We shouldve stayed at the Double Tree in Portland and just paid the little bit extra money. I don't reccommend this place unless you are really not able to aford better. The hotel front desk was apathetic and unresponsive to their customer's needs. My wife and I tried to order a movie in our room, but the "tv connection" prevented us from ever being able to see the movie. I called the front desk six times and nobody picked up. When I went down to the front desk there was one manager helping customers and another standing […] behind her doing nothing. I reported the issue and was told to wait for their call for us to order the movie again. I receieved a call 15 minutes later, re-ordered the movie, and still nothing. This time I called the front desk and left the phone ringing on the in-room desk for five minutes before someone finally picked up. I explained my situation and was told that the issue must be specific to our room and that ordering a movie was not an option for us. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is how close it is to the Rose Garden; however, with the MAX you can stay pretty much anywhere and get dropped off right in front of the Rose Garden. With the benefit of the MAX comes the disappointing noise in which the MAX also provides. There was a MAX stop right outside our window, so we were blessed with hearing MAX pull up and leave every 20 minutes. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The people who worked there were really nice. The bathroom needed work. The wall had dust all over it from the vent. It just was not what I had expected.

Nice location in that it's convenient to public transport. Didn't need to drive around at all. Parking lot is a bit tight

Beds were comfy, hotel was clean and quiet. Very close to the venue where the show was, which was very convenient! Easy to find, good service! No complaints here!

I have stayed at other Red Lion hotels and I have to say this is bar-none the worst. The hotel looks and feels run down. In our room the bed was shifted off the platform which I discovered when I banged my shins on the rails which were sticking out from the side. Extremely noisy all the time from outside road noise. We were on the fourth floor and I could still hear it without my hearing aids. Replacing the older single pane windows with double or triple pane would help a lot.

Was in town for an over night convention - took advantage of the sky lounge, caught a free seat at a poker tournament held in the restaurant. Room was average, dont expect to alter the heat though - as they only have 2 settings - winter and summer - view wasnt overly specatulor but was acceptable - could hear the couple in one of the neighboring rooms […] most of the night, as well as the metro passing every now and then - staff were pleseant, and courteous. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was a quick walk to the convention center where I was attending a convention. My only complaints are that the room was very warm and we were unable to reduce the heat or turn on the air conditioner. I stayed at this hotel a few months earlier for a business convention. I reserved it again for a concert I was attending. I love the location, the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and most of all, the beds are so comfortable. You don't find that often in a hotel. I will definately stay here again when I am in the area.

Hotel is ok if you need a place to lay your head for 1 night and you're not trying to impress anyone. Confined quarters (even in my 2 queen bed room), paper thin walls, noisy staff that is up early.. I believe the flat screen tv was the only upgrade in the room since late 90's .. anyhow like I said, good hotel if you need a quick place to lay your head. […] Bad hotel if you're wanting to impress your company or feel safe with your family. Parking is limited and not complimentary but the lot does have security cameras. Of course not many places will ever live up to our daily living standards.. especially if thousands of bodies move through the hotel. We were in Portland for a convention. The hotel was Kiddy Korner from that and the free transit was right there as well as a Starbucks right across the street. The food in the restaurant upstairs "Windows" was fabulous! and the service was very warm and friendly. Please keep in mind that this a very old hotel that is slowly being renovated; but it is […] clean and the staff is wonderful. Perfect location if attending events at the Rose Garden.

Very nice staff at this hotel. From th moment we checked in until we left everyone was exceptional. the food was great, the service was great. The rooms were a little dated, but i would stay here again because of the service.

Chose it because it is within walking distance from the Rose Garden Arena. Older Hotel, but rooms and facility were clean and quiet. No complaints.

Overall a nice comfortable and welcoming stay. Front desk workers were very polite and housekeeping staff was respectful. We will use this hotel in the future.

I have been traveling to Portland every other week for the past year and a half. This has been the best place to stay for the price. It is very comfortable and the WIFI works out well. I highly recommend.

Nicely located, friendly staff.

The hotel was cheap, and it was cheap. The staff were very friendly, but didn't seem to know when the lounge on the top floor was open. The walls were paper thin. The room was clean, but the carpets in the common hallways was dirty and gross. Comfortable beds, no bed bugs.

The on site restaurants have great food..great view of city..package deal includes all courses for $25 !!..potato encrusted salmon on plank was fantastic !!.FREE rail cars into downtown area right out front !!..three blocks to the super fun Lloyd Center mall..good value / good price PS..needs sauna or hot tub in the workout room

Experience due to other guest staying at hotel made it lame. Mixed up rooms and the face the BAR was closed made it worst.

Room was comfortable and clean. Noisy neighbors up all night and the walls do not have much insulation. The fan blew hot when on and switched to coldest temp. When leaving the window open the light rail ran all night, so if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, this is not it.

I have stayed here a few times and it seems to get worse each time. The refridgerator was broken and the ice machine was broken. I waited 30min before leaving the bar upstairs because they had 1 bartneder for 50 people and I could not get a drink. I would not reccomend this hotel for the price.

The room was great but it was Very very noisy!!! the people next door were fighting and there was verbal abuse/swearing and threats,we could every word and this went on for 2 hrs. it seemed like it took and extra long time for security to get there to quiet the couple down....I complained to the desk in the AM and the desk person never apologised or […] offered any thing to us for our Awful night!!! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

To start off the room reeked like smoke when we walked into the room. It was the 5th floor and all we had was a little 1 foot by 3 foot window to let air in. Kinda felt like a prison cell. Desperatley needs a remodel in the rooms. Common areas were beautiful though. False advertising with the rooms. Stay there often, like the place. A very good deal if you are not looking for a 4 star, and want a good place to sleep. Great Bar too!!

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Godd room for the money. I would stay there again.
