Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa All Inclusive - Cancun

We just stayed at this hotel for 3 days. Thank god it was not any longer. There are a few positives, but they are far outweighted by the negatives. positive: - Food is ok to good for an All inclusive resort - Bar / Restaurant Service staff is really good - Housekeeping staff is good - Very nice beach negative: - Management does not know what they […] do - 1.5h for check in is unacceptable - Extremely noisy rooms (neighbours, doors, people going down the floor) - Guests have a "beach bed reserving" habit, do not expect to get any place at the pool after 8 a.m, even if no one is there - Guests consist of 20 year old loudmouths and classless parents that are always getting drunk or on the hunt for the next fat/sugar fix at the buffet instead of watching their children - Do not name yourself "... and Spa" if you do not have a Spa and the use of the one in the sister property comes at an extra premium This property is officially rated 5*, 4* on hotels.com. Both way to high, 4* may have been ok many, many years ago. 90% of the guests are either 18 - 22 year old "free-drinkers" (springbreak was over when we were there) or more or less classless families. If you like beeing in a hotel with sunburnt dad and mummy at the bar, getting drunk on the free drinks, while their kids run around, or if you do not like to sleep , this one is for you. Average hotel...the management does very little to make your stay special....they are very interested in upgrading the room and selling their club....we had a great 6 days...in spite of not great weather...I would recommend this hotel...with reservations....don't think you need to upgrade....food was typical for an all inclusive...good...not great...we […] did not know to make reservations in the restaurants so were only able to have one nice meal....even though we upgraded to a beach front grand suite....that was very disappointing...all in all... a fun time...but, not a service oriented resort....staff was friendly...but not 5 star อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Fantastic hotel with great food. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds but they are not well adapted for small children though when many of them have two stairs inside with tiled floors. Superfriendly staff and good evening shows. The beach is super. Food is varied and of high quality. Would have given a top review but the staff at the Spa makes […] it only a 4 of 5 hotel. We tried to book two free massges as a compensation for our airconditioning not working but it was almost impossible. We just stayed at this resort over Christmas and could not be happier. We have a 3 year old and she had at blast. They have a great area for children and lots of activities. As for the hotel, it is in great shape and they keep it really clean. The staff is superb. They are very friendly and polite and most of them are fluent in English. The food is […] pretty good and we did not find too many repetitions in the buffet. Their reservation only restaurant called Maria's is excellent. We loved the food there. Busy, noisy too many p1ss heads and too many kids.

We had a lovely corner room #2412 with views of the ocean and pool. The room/resort was extremely clean. Service was fantastic at the bars and restaurant. We tipped but saw that even those who did not tip received exceptional service. We thought the best meals were at the buffet restaurant Albatros. My husband did not bring slacks so did not try Maria's. […] We enjoyed the beach bar (with swings and hammocks), the pool bar and the lobby bar. They served drinks in nice sized cups. The beach was nice with a red flag and rough surf. The lifeguard watched over us and whistled to the people who were too far out. Plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. Words almost cannot explain how much we enjoyed the stay at Gran Caribee Cancun. The food, the service, the facilities, and the excellent value for money all made it an absolutely fantastic holiday for our family. We could not believe when it said all inclusive, that it was ALL inclusive .... of the drinks, food .... everything which is something we […] definitely do not get in Australia, nor for that matter in many parts of the world we have stayed in. The weather allowed us to spend a fair bit of time on the beach or beside the pool, which was perfect for us. Julio was fantastic with his explanation of the tours available and Jonathan at Reception was also very helpful and always friendly and most respectful (which for that matter was the same for every staff member at the Gran Caribee. WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME!! WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!! FOOD WAS GREAT>THE SPORTS/ENTERTAINMENT CREW WERE PERFECT AND FUN>LOTS TO DO> OUR WHOLE FAMILY HAD A BLAST!

The resort is beautiful! Amenities, Service, location, food, entertainment, cleanliness, etc.... all fantastic!! Will return to this resort - it is great! Only a few minor negatives: 1. Bands in bar are done by 10:30, so no dancing or entertainment after 10:30; 2. the pool is small and gets crowded, but the beach area is wonderful! and 3. Our room was […] in an odd location - near the hotle offices and not ocean front and was not accessible by elevator (2nd floor, so no problem for us to walk 1 flight of stairs, but others may not like to walk stairs and it was tough with the luggage). However, the room was very large, clean and quiet and did have a nice view of Lagoon sunsets. Bedding was not great - kinda thin and aged, but no big deal. Could have paid more to upgrade to an oceanfront room if these things were really a problem for us, but they were not. We really loved our stay at this resort. My sister, friend, and I went during spring break, so there was a mixed crowd. Had a blast- service overall (minus front desk staff) was excellent, food and drinks were good, location was great as was the atmosphere.

It was amazing! It was the best beach as far as we could see. The set up was wonderful. The food was amazing and provided a variety of ethnic dishes. The room was clean and had an amazing view. great activity for all including kids and adults. The night shows were amazing. Food is excellent.The pool and bar services is excellent. The staff is always smiling.

I stayed in this hotel for 8 nights in Sept 2010 & I cannot find one bad thing to say about it. This hotel offers excellent service, it is spotlessly clean and has a wonderful beach. The hotel has great facilities and a good variety of restaurants - the breakfast buffet is particularly good! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend; the Gran Caribe Real Resort and Spa is everyone's Dream!!!

The food is not good and it felt more like a high school spring break destination rather than a nice relaxing/romantic getaway. The music poolside was loud and after 2pm there were guys on microphones getting people to get involved with games and such-it was not very relaxing by the pool at this time of day. The food was REALLY mediocre. I like to enjoy […] food on vacation and while there is a lot of it here-it is not quality. The rooms are loud-you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway-not good if there are groups of 18 year olds partying around your room. We had to change rooms it was so loud (from 1-4am!!!). Generellt så har alla hotell på cancun hotellzon ett bra läge. Det är enkelt att ta sig till centrum och det är dessutom säkert. Hotell Gran Caribe Real resort&Spa hade två nackdelar: 1. Ljud som tränger sig i princip taget alla rum, det går helt enkelt inte sova om nätterna! Dörren till alla rum borde vara mellandörr, det hörs ljud från alla andra […] rum också. 2. Um dos motivadores de eu ter escolhido este hotel é porque dizia na descrição do hotel de que havia banheira no quarto. Minha filha gosta muito de banheira e sempre escolhemos hotéis com banheira no quarto. Como muita frustação descobrimos na entrada de que não havia banheiro nos quartos. Favor corrigir esta informação no site.

O hotel está uma zona central, dá para ir a pé em varios shoppings e restaurantes. A unica coisa ruim foi a quantidade de crianças mal-educadas no nosso andar, acordavam as 6 da manha, corriam e berravam no corredor e batiam as portas, e as mães mal-educadas corriam e gritavam atrás deles...
