Right in the mix of things. Perfect if you want to go to 6th St, I actually went to a concert at Stubbs right down the street, which was very convenient. Everyone at the hotel was nice and the maids cleaned our room very good (we had a accident). Overall, highly recommend this spot.

Returned after 8 months to find service problems at this hotel. Room was half the size as last time as I was placed on a corner where there were two doors to the hallway (which also let in light all night. The bathroom was tiny and cramped where last visit it was large with even a window to the outside. When I asked at the desk I was told all of the […] rooms were the same and was dismissed. When I needed quarters for their dryer to finish my laundry, I was told at the desk that they didn't have any. They called the restaurant which said they didn't have any either. You have to get items you want from a little store and then pay at the desk so I don't know how they planned to make change for those purchases either. This isn't one of the high end hotels, but it isn't a dump, either. Perched atop a parking garage, this hotel offered my group convenience, cleanliness, and great hospitality for an excellent price - with an excellent location to so much of Austin. The room was great, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Worth every penny, indeed.

$9 charge for a call $26 charge for parking ONE night

We wanted to get the flavor of Austin's 6th street and the hotel served that purpose. However the hotel staff was somewhat disappointing in that they said there was no place close by for breakfast - really, come on. The comment by a staff member that Austin wasn't the real Texas was bit disconcerting too. The greatest thing about this Hilton is their business center. They have free internet and printing - really nice. BUT for my money I would stay at the other Hilton right up the street. It is just as close to 6th street and everything you'll need and the rooms are bigger, more recently updated, and the price is generally the same if not a couple bucks […] cheaper. This is a great hotel in a great location. I have to question the mandatory 26.00 nightly for valet parking. Perhaps this is the norm.

This hotel was a lot closer to 6th street than I originally thought so I was pleasantly surprised with the location. The staff was friendly and helpful and my room had a great view of downtown. Valet parking is the only kicker at 26 bucks a day, but overall I was very pleased and happy with my stay at The Hilton Garden Inn

Great hotel. Clean, convenient, comfortable. Parking was very pricey- $56 for two nights.

Only stayed for 2 days. Room was clean, people were friendly, location great right next to 6th street if thats your plan. Parkign is expensive/ breakfast not included.

When I made the reservation with Hotels .com, I thought I was booking the Hilton with the Finn and Porter. I have a bad back and only wanted to make one stop. Hotel would not cancel reservation. No cold water, when turned on, running leak. Pillows a little stiff. Never an issue with this hotel. Always stay here when it is lowest price of the quality downtown hotels. And most of the time, this place wins.

It has a good location but the beds are so uncomfortable. Also we asked for a double and only got a king. The sofa bed was just as hard as the bed so no big deal. There is a small area right across from the hotel with drug addicts so just don't go that way. There is no self parking only valet.

Overall I was very pleased with my stay. Optimal location downtown, friendly staff and comfortable bed. The only negative was the room had a weird smell. Kind of like cigarette smoke, but not quite. Once I was in the room for a few minutes, I didn't notice it anymore but would obviously have preferred it wasn't there in the first place. Will definitely […] stay again, however. I do not write many reviews. I reserve my opinions only for the best of the best AND the worst of the worst. To state the obvious, this was not the best of the best. Where do I begin? There are two Hilton properties in Downtown Austin. These are both within two blocks of each other. However, they are miles away in their differences. Do not chose […] the Hilton Garden hotel. I have ad better service from a "we leave the light on" chain; better accommodations from a homeless shelter; better food from Micky D's, a better working HVAC system from a tent; and far better hospitality from my bitter mother-in-law! For starters, the hotel ran out of coffee! Yes, I actually said that.. A $$ a night room, $$$ a night after "other" fees.. and no coffee! As an owner of a National Company, I do understand the hurdles with inventory, however, a hotel running out of coffee is the equivalent to Micky D’s running out of buns. As an understanding customer, this was inconvenient, but forgivable. What made this issue unbelievable was the answer to my coffee inquiry; "sir, for your convenience, we will be providing free coffee at the restaurant, which opens at 4PM".. I don’t know about you, but i no longer need coffee at 4pm. To the hotels credit, the following morning, a non-managerial staff member listened to my coffee rant on the elevator and 20 minutes later somehow produced two coffee pouches at my room. I do not know how he found my room, nor do I care. The Hotel should however care, as they need to promote this gentleman to head of guest services, as if he would have taken care of the guests the previous day, this review would not exist. The rest of the stay was uneventful, as the hotel is uneventful. It provides no services what so ever. Probably a good thing, as you can not complain about items that do not exist. The location was perfect--2 blocks from convention center. The room was wonderful and clean. Beds were great. Most importantly, the staff was amazing. A great Austin hotel.

I don't have anything to complain about this hotel other than the Parking situation. When I went online to book my room, i couldn't find this information, they hide that until the last minute. I had to pay $26 dollars per night to have a valet parking my car.

The location is great. However, we were disappointed to find that there was no self parking. The valet parking charge of $26/night was extreme. In addition, the room was extremely warm even after turning the thermostat to 62 degrees. It appeared that the vent was very dirty. Suggestion to hotel- make more ashtrays and trash cans available around the hotel, esp. the pool area. If you're not going to do that, do a much better job of picking up trash and cig butts, esp. around the pool.

It was our pre honey moon stay and they were great! Gave us each a glass of wine on the house and the great service just stared there. Great room service and the room was super clean. And the breakfast buffet was top notch!!! Great place

Actual room and hotel was clean and nice. Breakfast was very good... and location is absolutely perfect. Only complaint would be the staff... the "kids" doing the valet service (which is very overpriced by the way) sat and watched my mom and sister load all their luggage, and offered no help whatsoever. Also the front office staff seemed very pompous, […] as if we should feel privileged to stay in their hotel - rather than appreciating us choosing their hotel. The staff was friendly and super-helpful. The hotel is a little out of the beaten track & made it necessary to navigate the crazy life on 6th Street when we'd return from nights out. Still, the room was clean, comfortable, & spacious enough. And the breakfast buffet was very good.

You MUST stay here if planning activities around 4th - 6th Streets! I have no complaints other than the $26 charge to valet my car during our stay.

The hotel was great!! The location was super convenient and the staff was wonderful and very helpful of all our needs! I will definitely stay there again next time I visit Austin! I also highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easily accessible hotel with a great location and view of the downtown area! 5 stars from me! Thanks!

They always treat you well. The hosekeeping to front desk and on and on treat you tremendous. The only fault of this hotel is the 26 dollar a night parking...park down the block for 8-10 a night, much better. Recommend highly. Fitness center is improved since last stay as wel

The hotel itself is great, the only minor issue was the pool. It felt like you were getting into ice water. It was entirely too cold, the hot tub was just that, a hot tub, no jacuzzi. the only other issue, which the hotel is not responsible for, it the number of homeless people in the area. Wonderful stay very comfortable clean and quiet valet took care of parking for my guest at no additional charge. I have stayed in both Hiltons DT and believe this one to be much better than the Hilton Austin

We stayed here because it is close to 6th street and wanted to go out clubbing. When we got to the hotel we unloaded and right away there was a hidden fee they didn't mention in the website, valet parking is mandatory and they charge to have you vehicle parked in the garage of the hotel you are staying at. It takes about 10 minutes before someone attends […] us to give us the key and we head up to the 17th floor. The room looked nice but it was warm so we turned down the thermostat to 70 degrees but it never got cool. We stepped out to grab something to eat and watch a movie at the alamo drafthouse on 6th street, so before we left, we told the front desk that our room was warm if someone could take a look. The lady smiled and said she would. A couple of hours later we walk in talk to the same lady and ask if someone had gone up and she replied with "oh maintenance doesn't report back to us so I'm not sure if they went." Annoyed we had faith someone did, when we arrived at the room, we walked in to the room still around 80 degrees. We rested got dressed and went downstairs to walk to the clubs and again informed the same lady at the front desk about our room, with the same empty promise of sending someone up to check on it right away. Came back to our room around 2 am and it was still 80 degrees and to top it off the pillows were lumpy and the bed was hard. They have this dial on the side so that you can "adjust" how soft or firm you'd like your bed, but it didn't work. So we spent the night in a warm room on a hard bed with lumpy pillows and paid for valet parking. When we left the next morning I asked to speak with a manager but one was not to be found so I asked for a number and would call back. I called the hotel number and asked for a manager so the lady transfers me and I get an answering machine. I leave a message with everything I described (shorter summary of course) and my number where I can be reached at all times. Guess what? To this day I have yet to receive อ่านเพิ่มเติม
