Hotel Le Marais is one of the best kept little secrets in New Orleans. Perfect location, friendly staff, and surprisingly affordable. Stayed here on our visit to to Jazz Fest. Great hotel in a great location. Suprisingly quiet for being just steps from Bourbon street. I would definitely recommend staying here again.

The hotel was in a great location for exploring the French Quarter. We appreciated the breakfast each morning and the coupons for drinks at the hotel's bar. Really nice interior patio and pool. Only negative thing was that the walls between rooms and the hallway are a little thin so we could sometimes hear other guests' conversations.

I absolutely loved this hotel. My girlfriend and I decided to go down to New Orleans for vacation this year. After much research we finally decided on Hotel Le Marais because of the fantastic reviews. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by very friendly staff from the moment we walked in. We went up to our room overlooking their fantastic courtyard […] and it was fantastic. The room was relatively large, comfortable and modern with a very comfortable bed. The only minor blemish of the room is the shower, water pressure isn't the best and it's a little chilly because of the lack of door. The nightly happy hour was great Vive! is a nice bar to sit in and enjoy before hitting the town. The location of the hotel is perfect you are in the heart of the French Quarter and a street away from Bourbon street. The best part of this hotel is that you are so close to bourbon street but hear none of the noisiness or rowdiness that you have to deal with at other hotels. The hotel had a great location, but for the price the room size and condition did dissapoint. The employees were all very friendly, the Hotel overall was just s bit dirty and not well maintained. Sadly, we will probably not be back to La Marais.

The hotel was very nice and in a wonderful location in the French Quarter! Party all around the outside of the hotel but yet inside the hotel was wonderfully quiet. Couldn't of asked for a better overall experience in New Orleans.

This hotel has a couple of things going for it. It is in a prime location in the French Quarter and the room is really modern. The problem I had with the room was that it was over-priced for a room that had a SEE THROUGH door in the bathroom. The door has frosted glass. Not good for friends sharing a room. The shower had 1/2 a glass door. I guess this […] is okay if you don't mind getting the floor all wet! By the way, this is the way the shower was designed. Lastly, the morning we were to leave, we got up just in time to take a shower before we had to make our departure. This left NO TIME to request wash cloths which were missing in the room. Liked everything about the hotel from the friendly staff to the comfortable room. Centrally located in the French Quarter you can walk to any destination therein. It's just off Bourbon street, but extremely quiet and secluded in feel. Personally I was un-impressed with Bourbon street so I downgraded the "neighborhood" a bit, but that's not the fault […] of the hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed my time. Most of the buildings in this area are old, but they have done a good job of keeping things clean and up to date. The heated salt water pool was awesome. Location is great, right by Bourbon street. If Bourbon street isn't your thing i would look elsewhere, you do pay for the location.

Although it's only a half-block south of Bourbon Street, as soon as you enter the lobby doors, the noisy craziness of the French Quarter suddenly drops away. We were very impressed with the location of this hotel. We were walking distance to all of the sites we wanted to take in. Quick ride from airport. We loved the courtyard and fruit saturated water everyday. Oh and the free breakfast was much more then we had anticipated.

This quaint little boutique hotel is in the best location I could imagine in the French Quarter. The staff are supremely friendly and accommodating, the continental breakfast is really great, the courtyard is a beautiful place to relax with a morning coffee, and the whole hotel has been re-finished beautifully! I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location if you want to be in the Quarter. We drove by 3 times trying to figure out where to park & finally had to call. Parking is in garage across the street but it belongs to another hotel & there's no indication that's where to go. Upon check in we found toilet tissue floating in the commode & a bug crawling on the bathroom floor. Paid […] for 2 nights of valet parking but when we returned to the hotel at 3 AM on our first night we found the car parked exactly where we left it, at the entrance to the garage & very susceptible to vandalism. It wasn't moved into the garage till sometime the day after we checked in. Coffee service wasn't replenished for our second morning so we had to settle for decaf. We could have stayed at one of the large chain hotels on Canal or Poydras & paid $100 less per night & the walk is only a few more blocks. That's what we'll do next time. We enjoyed our stay at Le Marais. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel location can not be beat. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard which was nice. I agree with what others have said about the shower. The floor does get wet when you shower due to the design. The breakfast was very good.
