Embassy Suites On The River - เดสโมนส์

The rooms were nice enough and the hotel in a good location, but lobby smelled like a stale fishbowl. The fountains gave off a terrible order.

We were going to a play that night at the Civic Center and Embassy was one block away. It was perfect to walk to. We had dinner in their restaurant before hand and it was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time! The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! thanks - we'll definately stay again

We reserved 3 rooms, 4 children and 5 grandchildren. It was my wife's' 50th birthday. The person that check us in was very nice. Asked why we were there,and when we got to our room, we had a bottle of champagne and a card wishing my wife a happy birthday. The staff was amazing, I felt that I was very special. I will go back soon.

We had a good stay with this Embassy Suites. It was a good location and nice view of the capital. The happy hour was nice and the breakfast in the morning was very good!!!

We had a great weekend in Des Moines and we love the Embasy suites!!!!

Stayed two nights. Close to Civic Center and downtown. All good.

Good location for downtown and St Patrick's Day crowd. Not sure what they spent the 8.5 million on but I wasn't impressed. It was OK, clean and comfortable but I might look around next time.

Great full made to order breakfast, manager's reception nightly with complimentary snacks and drinks (Including alcohol). Nice location on river near the attractions.

We choose this hotel because it was close to the events we were attending. I choose this hotel expecting a fairly quite environment. Sat night they were hosting an event. When we arrived back to the hotel at 6, there were drunk people riding the elevators up and down. No one could use them. They were also chanting over the balconies. The music was very […] loud well past midnight. I understand having a good time but I also respect others in the hotel. I could of paid far less for this type of environment or possibly quieter. Our room was never cleaned and we had to visit the desk for clean towels. It costs to park at the hotel. The 2nd night cars had taken multiple spaces and had trailers. There were not available spaces for our car. The one thing that would make me not return to this hotel happened in the pool area. They cleared the children out at 11pm. One child began throwing up. The staff tried to help but eventually put towels over the area. No disinfect was used and the towels were just placed with other towels to be washed. Gross! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The location was just what we needed for the run and the room was great and the breakfast was awesome.

Our stay was wonderful. The rooms were extremely cozy and clean. The view was great, and we are definitely Staying again soon!

I would've given 5s all the way around but they were doing some construction in the lobby area, so it wasn't in 100% shape at the time. ES is always first-class for any event I've been to there, and they didn't disappoint this time either! I'll be back for sure!

Right in the middle of downtown! In the middle of some fine eating establishments! Delicious breakfast buffet. Great parking! The perfect place to stay!

This hotel met every requirement for a successful girls night. Comfy beds, the best kitchette, card table, space to move around, free drinks and snacks, awesome salt water pool and hottub (that could be larger, but definately fine), excellent breakfast. We stayed here the night before our flight out of Des Moines. ( 2 parents and 3 children ages 22,19 and 15) The staff were wonderful. My family came into town the weekend before Christmas to celebrate the holiday together. The accomodations were terrific and the hotel staff very helpful. The only negative thing I would say is I wish they had turned off the Christmas music overnight, as we were able to hear it playing from the atrium.

I booked this hotel on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. I called a day before my arrival to schedule a pickup from airport and I also requested a room with a view of the river. The front desk clerk said he would try to give me a room with a view. So fast forward to my arrival date; my flight was delayed, arrived at 1:30am due to delays. I was […] tired and frustrated. I called the hotel for a shuttle, the shuttle service had stopped at midnight, so I was out of luck. However, they guaranteed my room for late arrival and I got a room with a view. The front desk clerk greeted me and was so helpful. The breakfast servers were extra helpful during breakfast. And the hotel shuttle drivers were more than accommodating. Although the hotel is under renovation, everything about our stay went smoothly. Afternoon managers special (happy hour) is always fun and appreciated plus breakfast spread every morning. We love staying at embassy suites for a week-end in des moines. ITs downtown and within walking distance to great resturants and the farmers market!

I would recommend this place all day long. Great desk help. breakfast to die for. All the snacks and drinks from 5:30 -7:30. Great place over all and will be sure to be back next year for the State Fair.

I love this Hotel. We try to say at least a couple of times a year.I love the location too.

The hotel staff was great! They even gave us free shuttle service to and from the restaurant we at dinner at!! I will be back the next time I am in Des Monies!!

Do yourself a favor and stay at a different hotel and go to one of the many great restaurants in DES moines. The extra charge at the embassy suites is not worth it

The room set up is great with the beds in one room and door that closes off of living room and kitchen area. We had four adults and a baby fit comfortable. Location is great, right downtown so u can walk to restaurants or bars. Good breakfast. Convenient parking. Pool is average. Overall great hotel.

We were in town to see the Iowa Cubs play and the Embassy Suites was perfect for location to the ball park and their service es awesome. We had two children with us and everyone was very accomodating. Happy hour and breakfast all included in price and was well worth the price. Definitely will be back!

Great hotel, easy in, easy out parking garage, great breakfast. Be sure to visit the Farmer's Market on Saturdays!

Embassy Suites is just a great hotel! It is our getaway from life!

Booked in March for late June arrival. Two double-bed room, smoking. Although smokers are a minority (of which I am not one), smoking rooms are still available. However, upon arrival, no smoking rooms with two beds were available. Smoking room with king bed and hide-a-bed was offered (no thanks). Was informed that this facility has only five smoking […] rooms. The facility was also booked to capacity due to an art festival, local baseball game, and comedy show at the Civic Center. In the infamous words of Jerry Seinfeld "You can TAKE the reservation, you just can't HOLD the reservation..." Other than that, the room, service and location were all well received. Rooms are clean and renovations are complete. If you are looking for proximity to the Civic Center and/or downtown nightlife and restaurants, all are well within walking distance. Really nice location for downtown Des Moines and excellent hotel in cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast was a plus!

We stayed at the Embassy during our visit to DM for a concert. I was completely satisfied with the hotel! The hotel staff were friendly, the shuttle to the concert was awesome, the complementary drinks and appetizers in the evening and the free made to order breakfast only added to the experience. Overall the hotel stay was nice. The people were very courteous and helpful. There were a few things in the room that needed attention, but nothing too serious. They are in the middle of remodeling and that should address the issues. The room was comfortable and quiet. They could use some different variety of pillows though.

We had a perfect stay at the Embassy Suites On The River. As with all Embassy Suites, our room was very large and quiet and the beds comfortable. There is a Manager's welcome for a few hours in the evening where they serve free drinks that you can sip at the tables inside or at a sidewalk seating area outdoors.
