West of the Willamette River, downtown offers a celebrated skyline, walkable streets, and a lively arts scene. Visitors shop tax-free at Powell’s Books and Portland Saturday Market, a craft lover’s paradise. Area festivals include Cinco de Mayo and the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. The Oregon Zoo, the swank Pearl District, and the inviting Pioneer Courthouse Square are other noteworthy attractions.

Hotel Lucia provided a centrally located, comfortable and superiorly staffed home away from home for ourfour day stay in Portland. While our room was small, it was immensely comfortable and accomodating. The hotel is within walking distance to great eateries, sights and transportation options. But the highlight was truly the level of care and dedication […] that was extended to us by each and every member of the staff we encountered. Everyone was happy, helpful, warm and welcoming. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Hotel Lucia--great stay in Portland"
My husband and I went to Portland for a show at Jimmy Mak's. Hotel Lucia was a great choice. It is near all the places we like to go--Powell's, Echo Audio, Everyday music, shopping downtown, and great restaurants.

"Hotel Lucia front desk and door people"
You cannot ask for better service. Staff is friendly and accomodating. The front desk is personable with wonderful smiles and a great attitude.
"Wonderful Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Downtown!"
Hotel Lucia is small but elegant. The beds are extremely comfortable. The spaces are small-bedroom and bathroom, but they know how to maximize the space. Location was wonderful and staff friendly. If you don't mind small, this is the place to stay! We had a wonderful breakfast in their on-site restaurant, too. *And they had fresh ice water in their […] lobby* อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Business and Pleasure"
The entire staff, from valet to front desk to the bartender in the bar, where incredibly friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was fantastic - easy walk to pretty much all Portland has to offer. Room was well appointed with nice linens and very comfortable beds but the rooms were INCREDIBLY small. This hotel is an older property and, while I love […] the charm of the older building and they did a nice job with the updates, the drawbacks are that it was cramped in the bathroom with ONE person in there. We had a standard room so I'm not sure if some of the more premium rooms are any different. Overall I would recommend this hotel for the location but would really warn against the "snug" rooms. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Portland at its finest (and maybe smallest)"
Hotel Lucia is conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Portland -- blocks from Powell's, blocks from Pioneer Square, and blocks from the art museum / PSU campus. It is a true boutique hotel, and the decor is very nice (but not ostentatious.) Staff were wonderful, always pleasant and always helpful. The halls are lined with amazing photography […] of famous people -- some from television, some from movies, and even some from politics. The room was sumptuous -- albeit a little small. There was a very large walk-in closet in my single room and a very generous (and comfortable) queen bed. There is also a small desk for working on your computer, bed side tables and a small bar / TV stand. The TV was a larger LCD flatscreen and VERY nice. The bathroom was very clean and mold / mildew-free (which can be hard in Portland.) The bathroom is very modern and everything worked perfectly. I loved my stay there and will be sure to seek them out again. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in downtown Portland! อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Hotel Lucia in Portland, OR"
The pet accommodations were great! The hotel provided a dog bed, food and water bowls, a rubber squeaky toy to take home as well as a number of other services to make our stay very comfortable. The hotel room was small but comfortable. The overall decor and atmosphere were great- modern and interesting. My only complaint... the bathroom was not as […] clean as I would have hoped. There were a few dirty spots on the ceiling and found a few long hairs that did not belong to me on the towels. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Hip hotel"
Hotel Lucia is very hip with great art and it's in a wonderful location. But our inner room was quite small and I didn't like how the bathroom was so close to the bed. Not sure I would go back here even though the service was amazing.
"Awsome Location"
Ok, Im going to start with the good first. When I stay at a hotel, and spend good money on it, I tend to be picky. The hotel staff was AMAZING. Super friendly and helpful. They got everything that I needed. The only thing that they messed up on was that I asked for two papers in the morning, and only recieved one. No big deal. The hotel lobby was awsome. […] Nice decor. The location was GREAT. The whole time we were in Portland we just walked. It was right next to everything, including peetes coffee for the morning. The room was nicely decorated including a Ipod radio, mini bar and more. Now for the bad; The room was TINY. I paid some decent money to stay here and the size of the room including the bathroom was smaller than just my bedroom at home. The mirrors behind the bed gave you the illusion that it was bigger but its not. Its tiny. Now, this could be just due to weather but when we first walked into the room it was so humid. It didnt help the bathroom that there was no fan in there. When it came to the bathroom, I believe we seen a faint sight of mold. I dont want that to scare anyone away, it was a super clean bathroom, but with no air ventilation its kind of expected. The room, being the loaction it is, doesnt have much of a view. So, if thats what your looking for here, I wouldnt suggest it. All in all, its a good hotel with an exellent staff, and if you can find a spot, theres a parking garage exactly across the street from it. If you dont mind small rooms, then I would say this place is good. I mean, in Portland allot of the hotel rooms are rather small. However, if your like everyone else and dont wanna be cramed, I would suggest going for the marriot just right down the street. No it doesnt have as good of the "star" status, but Its still an exellent hotel and cheaper than others. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Really enjoyed our stay"
Location of this hotel was perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted to go, Powell's Books, Peet's, Mothers (for breakfast). The 24 hour parking garage across the street provided reasonable priced parking so we didn't worry about the car. Only three minor drawbacks to our particular room (215), the door nearly hit the bed when we opened it so it felt […] a little cramped. The bathroom is just big enough for one person, never mind two people trying to get ready at the same time and the old plumbing took a long time to heat up. On the plus side, I wish I had more time to sit by the fireplace in the lobby, and the staff was just amazing. Beautifully updated hotel that I would stay at again. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Loved It!"
A really charming boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Portland. This was my 4th time here and I'd gladly return again.

Fun hotel. Loved the decor. Staff was superior. Rooms were very comfortable though a bit small. Would stay here again.
"Great Location - Comfortable Beds"
Great Location for food & shopping, Great Photography & Original Art Work and Great Mattress. Upgraded us to a King Size Bed. While some have mentioned the small room size, we found it to be consistent with other big city downtown hotels in this price range. Perfectly comfortable if you plan to spend most of your day outside. For the price, I would […] go stay again. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Great service and location"
The Hotel Lucia is a sleek boutique hotel, right in the heart of downtown Portland. The service is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable (although on the young and hip rather than formal side; if you don't like familiarity, this is not the place for you). My room was small but stylish and comfortable.
Great location loved the staff a very nice experience

"Wanted it to work."
I have always wanted to do a staycation in Downtown Portland. The Lucia seemed a great location ( and it is ) however, we found some things not to our liking. A premium room is very small and all bed. That makes it very tough for two people to get around. Our room was on the 8th floor. With one elevator out ot two working, getting up and down was a […] slow process. The other elevator was fixed the day we left. The hotel restaurant was closed for renovation, which was dissapointing. It is too bad because the staff was exceedingly helpful, friendly and attentive. It looks like the Lucia needs to to a bit more to upgrade itself to where it should be. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
Thank you very much for your recent visit as well as for your feedback. I am happy to hear that the staff was helpful, friendly and attentive during your visit. I am also happy to report that upgrades to our elevators are complete and that work continues on our restaurant. I wish that you would have pointed out the issues with your room as we know doubt could have resolved them during your visit. We have many room types and do our best to accomodate all requests. Should your future travel plans include a trip to Portland please consider staying with us again and please make sure to alert someone of your stay. We will make sure you get the perfect room.

I stayed at the Hotel Lucia in Nov, 2011. The staff was super friendly and I got the impression that they genuinely cared if I was happy as a guest there. The room was tiny (think NYC size), but nice. the only issues I had were that there was some paper in the toilet that should have been flushed before I got there, the wheel on the desk chair was broken, […] and the alarm went off at 3:00 am even though I didn't set it. It must have been left that way from a previous guest who had to catch an early flight. I would go back, but I might ask about a bigger room next time. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
Thank you for your business and for your thoughtful feedback. Both are greatly appreciated. I am happy to hear that you found our staff to be friendly and accomodating. I have made sure that all issues have been corrected. We have many room type options to chose from. With proper planning I am confident that we can provide you with a larger room more suitable to your needs. Again, thank you for your business.

"A bit overrated in comparison to others"
Our experience with this hotel suggests it is really not on par with other 4-star hotels in Portland.
"Hotel Lucia - good location"
Great European style rooms. Gorgeous modern art. Friendly and helpful staff.
"Hotel Lucia"
the rooms were small...but clean. The staff were anxious to please. We requested a change of rooms and they were great about finding us one with a city view for the same price.
"It fine if you don't expect too much"
I have stayed there 3 times but I think it may be time for me to move onto a different boutique hotel in Portland. I had a hard time with the wireless and had to call the help line and the front desk for assistance. the bath products are not Aveda as promised and I thought inferior products. The front desk people and doormen are friendly but just not […] terribly proactive. It wasn't a bad stay at all. It was quiet and I do love the black and white iconic photography everywhere. That makes it fun. Also it's near several restaurants that I like. So I guess an average stay! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

"Very Good Hotel"
We have stayed at the Lucia a number of times. This time there were problems with the water pressure, sink drains, and telephone. While an attempt was made to solve some of these issues, they remained a problem. This was not typical of our previous experiences.
"Great central location!"
Great hotel! We always stay at the hotel max I'm Seattle (their other location) and we love it! So we decided to stay here! Great service! Near all the shopping and bars! Would stay here again for sure! Tip for parking: park across the street in the garage it's $16 for over night versus $30+ for valet at the hotel!

"We recommend Hotel Lucia."
The Hotel Lucia in downtown Portland is conveniently situated; has a super friendly and helpful staff, and the accomodations are stylishly comfortable, and clean. We had a great experience!
"Where did it get the great 'buzz'...."
Very disappointing and definitely not 4 star.... Rooms are tiny and dark in part because no sheers despite facing other building's windows--so you have to close your dark wooden blinds for privacy. Gym is 20 years behind the times, depressing, very small and stained ceiling tiles. Hallway photography is great but after that I just don't "get it". Won't […] be back.... อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Tiny bathroom, comfortable bed"
The bathroom was small -- reminded me of the size of the bathroom on a cruise ship I was on once. But everything was clean, and they had a "pillow menu" you could choose from if you wanted other pillows. Convenient location to walk to Powell's books and a lot of downtown restaurants and bars.
"Friendly hotel staff at Hotel Lucia-Portland. OR"
The staff at Hotel Lucia couldn't have been nicer. The front desk staff was so very helpful in every way. I think they should get a raise.
"Lovely hotel but the housekeeping..."
I've now stayed at the Hotel Lucia twice in one month. The hotel is lovely, modern, conveniently located and has a friendly staff. But both of my stays has some housekeeping issues that prevent me from giving it a 5-star rating. The first time I stayed at the hotel, my phone had been unplugged and while it rang the handset was dead. And later, when […] I went to take a shower, I realized that the shampoo and conditioner in my room were nearly used up. They seem to have been left over from another guest. The second time I stayed, the light bulb was missing from the desk lamp. Neither of these issues were earth-shattering, but I expect more from a hotel of this caliber.. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
"Nice — except for a few things"
We were recently in Oregon on vacation. Our first three nights were in Portland, where we stayed at the Hilton Executive Tower, followed by a trip to Bend. We returned to Portland for our last night and stayed at the Hotel Lucia. My first reaction to the room was that it was smaller than expected and the lighting at night was very dim. The room was […] very modern with plenty of amenities (in-room safe, robes, toiletries, comfy throw blanket.) The other thing I found odd was the mattress was all torn up. I would never have known this except I always check for bedbugs. This hotel had no instances of bed bugs, but I am petrified with the thought of ever bringing them home, so I double-checked. The sheets were crisp and clean and tucked in very tight. When I removed the sheets, the entire seam of the mattress was ripped and I was able to see the wrapped springs inside. Aside from the rip, there was nothing of concern. The mattress appeared clean. Even though this hotel was nice, my husband and I preferred the Hilton Executive Tower room over this one. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
Hotel Lucia is a descent hotel overall. It is an old building but the rooms have been remodeled. Unfortunately, the walls are "paper thin" and you here the plumbing system from other rooms. The rooms are also very SMALL.
