Great and a very lovely hotel with great and very helpfull staff
"close to the road to the beaches"
This hotel was close to the road to the D Day beaches but not much else. The room was okay especially for three. The hard surfaces needed updating, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The desk staff spoke very good English. The best part: they allowed us to check in early at noon after our long overnight flight from US.

Large bathroom and recently remodeled. Courteous staff. Didn't try the restaurant. Public transit right across the street - easy to get to downtown.

My family recently visited Normandy for D-day anniversary and we chose this hotel because it is nicely located to visit many places by car. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept in nice condition. Upon leaving, we forgot a very valuable item in our room and realized it a few hours later. "Will visit again"
A truly nice experience. No significant negative comments. We have recommeded that the Mercure Tour Effel in Paris go to Caen and see how things should be done ! A 3 star hotel outshone a 4 star hotel in Paris.

"Hôtel MERCURE à CAEN"
Nous ne comprenons pas que lorsqu'un groupe de 12 personnes réservent dans cet hôtel, on puisse nous mettre une chambre au milieu de 5 chambres!! Résultats beaucoup de bruit surtout après 22 heures avec dans les couloirs et dans les chambres des aller et venues, des voix fortes et du chahut... Das Hotel erfüllt den üblichen Mercure-Anspruch. Es liegt außerhalb von Caen. Die schöne und interessante Stadt ist aber mit der vor der Haustüre liegenden Tram in 15 Minuten total problemlos zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und auch die Lage des Hotels ist so, dass nachts draußen Ruhe herrscht. Es sind aureichend Parkplätze vorhanden und die Verkehrsanbindung […] ist sehr gut. Excellent acceuil, très bon buffet de petit déjeuné, bonne literie. Très satisfait dans l'ensemble.
Yderst tilfredstillende hotel. Der er en OK restaurant i hotellet. Værelserne er meget godt rengjort og dagligt bliver håndklæderne udskiftet - hvis man ønsker dette. Gratis, indhegnet, parkeringsplads. Personalet talte ikke særlig godt engelsk, men nogle af dem gjorde et forsøg. ootimo albergo,perfetto per chi viaggia con animali,anche se non e' centrale (10 min in auto) e' in posizione strategica.
"Zeer rustige ligging"
Dit fraai hotel heeft zeer nette kamers en is rustig gelegen net buiten de stad Caën. Goede sanitaire voorzieningen. Vanuit deze centrale lokatie kan je de mooiste plekjes in Normandië ontdekken naar de Mont-Saint-Michel tot helemaal de andere kant toe naar Honfleur.
