"Mercure in Caen - great hotel"
I was going on a business trip, and was positively surprised of this hotel. A clean room with practical details, nice interior and a great breakfast .

I stayed in four different hotels in three cities on this trip (2 in Paris) and this was the best of the bunch. Clean room, roomy bathroom with a full shower. The only reason I did not give this hotel a perfect score is they need to improve the free wireless, it stunk. "Mercure Caen Centre"
We were travelling as a family of 4 adults. We had two standard rooms which were small but clean and comfortable. A convenient location for many of the attractions in the Normandy/Brittany region. Parking in the hotel carpark was an extra charge per day.

I've stayed in several dozen hotels for both business and pleasure, and when it comes to value for my money, I could not have been happier with the Mercure Caen. The front desk staff were not only courteous, they were outgoing and incredibly informative when I peppered them with questions regarding the surrounding area. Their recommendations were infallible. […] It was easily the most friendly hotel staff I encountered in a two-week France vacation. The hotel room belonged in a four-star hotel, not one with such a low room rate. It was clean, spacious, and full of every bell and whistle I could want in a room. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, diverse, fresh, and tasty. And one could not have wanted for a better hotel location: on a peaceful canal very near the center of town, with all attractions within easy walking distance. The hotel was excellent except the noise from the elevators. We staid an extra day and paid a higher rate.
"The best en-suite in the world"
Caen is a gem of a ciiy with a very sad city. The Mercure Cemtre is an excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and the best en-suite in the world. The hotel public areas lack style but the car parking at 10 euros and location make this a must visit location even though many will be on their way to or from the Britany Ferry. "Nice Location"
The Mercure Port de Plaisance is located right in the center of Caen, Courtone Plaza. You are close to restaurants, cafes, and on Sunday, the farmer's market. We were lucky with the weather. The sun shines all the five day we were there. So the plaza had all the time a party atmosphere with people dancing and singing. The hotel staff was very nice and […] very helpful. The hotel was in a great location and included the benefit of an outdoor market nearby, A variety of restaurants were extremely close by with good food and service at very affordable prices. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with information.

"Great room for the money"
The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was quite delicious and offers a wide selesction. The room was impresive clean for the money.

Hôtel tout à fait correct, rien à dire. Le parking de l'hôtel (qui est souterrain) coûte 10€ la nuit mais il faudra peut-être noter qu'on peut se garer gratuitement devant l'hôtel (parking le long du quai en épi).

"Fyra nöjda gentlemen"
Berörda gäster var fyra herrar i åldern 57-67 som skulle besöka slagfälten i Normandie. Hotellets läge är perfekt med intilliggande parkeringsplatser på torget som var kostnadsfria i och med att vi använde bilen dagtid. Läget mitt i centrum med trivsam båthamn förhöjde nöjet. Gott om närliggande restauranger med bra mat. Snabb expediering i hotellreceptionen. […] Man borde dock muntligen i samband med att frukosttiderna presenterades ha upplyst oss om att det fanns frukost i två prisklasser då frukostpriset 15 Euro var rätt högt.; det fanns en enklare för 7 Euro. Rummen mkt rena och trev liga, badrummet värfungerande med god hygien. Rumservice toppen. Frukostbuffén fräsch och smakfull men inte överdådig.
