very nice and very convenient. sorry we weren't able to stay for the complimentary breakfast.

While there, hotel lobby under construction and temporary lobby located in small room. Also, breakfast served in small, adjoining room. Would have been helpful to know this before booking. Room clean but dissatisfied with lobby arrangement/ lack of prior knowledge.

the hotel lobby was under construction - this was not included in the information contained on hotels.com. it should have been noted - the price should have been adjusted accordingly for the time period that the hotel is under construction.
"Courtyard by Marritt Charlottersville North"
The staff were great. I needed some papaer to study for exam and they brought to my room a stack of paper. I also liked the breakfasts in the morning and the little market at the desk.

currently under a renovation of lobby, etc. needs a renovation of rooms as well. Carpet old and uphostered furniture dirty. people were friendly but overall facility not what I would expect from a Marriott.

The hotel is very well located on the north end of town - not near the University. Short walking distance to indoor mall, grocery store, Applebee's. The immediate neighborhood is commercial, but apartments are nearby, it is quiet and safe. A runner would find it conducive to a morning jog around the mall parking lot or through the neighborhood. "Just okay"
The hotel is not fancy, or anything special. Rooms are fine, furniture-wise. AC/heater was noisy, and didn't maintain temperature, fan didn't cycle properly, piping noises, older fixtures. Located near shopping center, but not near town at all. Bus lines are very convenient and shuttle to airport.

The man at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable about the area and took some time to give us directions to the historical places we wanted to visit. We were very pleased with the hotel overall and with our room. Would be happy to stay there again. Location allowed us to easily get to our destinations and restaurants.

Friendly staff and good location. On the main strip with lots of shopping and attractions nearby. The breakfast option was very expensive. The pool area was ok but needed maintenance- but since it was labor day weekend, they should have had it fixed. The rooms were clean, but thin walls- with two kids, you couldn't run around and just play, which […] is hard for parents. No personal safe in our room. This hotel has a great staff and great location. Several very good restaurants close by. The bed was very comfortable with a selection of pillows (foam or feather).I would definately go back!

We hadd to extend our stay, but we had to look for an other hotel, because we could not get the hotel to extend us more days. They had already book the room to somebody else, I feel we should have been given the opportunity to extend the time of days since we had arleady been staying in the room.

This is an older Courtyard that needs a facelift. Service was ok. Breakfast nothing to write home about. A little overpriced for the location but the breakfast was included in the price which is a plus.

We were very satisfied with our 1-night stay at this hotel. The breakfast was outstanding.

Honestly for the area it is one of the better stays, especially for the money. It has a good location near the main roads in c-ville, making it ideal if you plan on moving around town. Hotel is just off a busy roadway, walk to several restaurants (one with big breakfast buffet), driving distance to UVA. Room had small balcony. Hotel has small indoor pool overlooking enclosed courtyard. Beds could have been more comfortable.

"Charlottesville Marriott - True Value"
Definitely plan to stay there again on my next visit to Charlottesville. The room was spacious and everything worked well. Hi def TV, blackout curtains, shower, etc. Enjoyed the indoor pool and the Life Fitness equipment. Didn't try the restaurant. Would have enjoyed higher quality towels and ceramic coffee cups.
Had problems with TV, called desk problems quickly resolved. On site IT? well handled! Time changed overnight. Management allowed extra time, courteously

Not that far from downtown and half the price of the Courtyard on West Main. Stayed in both and the North location is a better hotel.

The Courtyard by Marriott was a nice hotel that was close to my destination (U of V) and close to plenty of things (food and shopping).
