Lobby level of hotel was totally under construction. Bare concrete and dust everywhere. Carpeting and furnishings looked badly worn and gave a generally seedy look.

Fine breakfast, helpful front desk. Only glitch was the air conditioner didn't work at first, but the hotel fixed it quickly.

For the price, this was a pleasant trip. Hotel was used as sleeping quarters and it serves this purpose well. Was undergoing renovations at time of visit, but this was not noticeable while in room or in breakfast buffet area. Good deal.

Was very dissatisfied with the room for what it cost! Breakfast served was cold and very displeasing... I will not stay at this Comfort Inn again... what a waste of money!!!

I was seriously disappointed. The hotel was out dated and the lobby area was going through rennovations. The area where the temporary lobby was appeared unkempt and dirty. Because of the appearance I chose not to eat breakfast there. In the future, I'd opt to spend a couple more dollars and stay elsewhere.

The Comfort Inn was fine for a few nights stay on a business trip. Breakfast was included and free Wi-Fi. The room was fine and had a fridge and microwave! The bathtowels were a little scratchy, but otherwise it was a nice, solid hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I will stay here again when I come to the area.

The room was very spacious and clean. The air-conditioning unit, which was a bit noisy, worked well and maintained a comfortable temperature range. Its a comfortable motel with free Wi-Fi less than a mile away from where several alphabet agencies have there headquarters for little over $140 a night after tax; you really can't beat that.

The rooms are of adequate size. Staff is friendly. Complimentary breakfast great with belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit etc. but best part is free parking in safe and convenient lot. Also, great access to rte 66 which is next door. used the metro on this visit which is about 1/2 mile away. Love it hear for the price.

The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy giving no cause for complaint. Breakfast was quite sufficient. The hotel is situated in a fairly quiet area and within walking distance of the underground.

Hotel is well situated, at least it was for me. Some of the lights were out in my room and they ignored my note. The lobby carpet is very dirty. However, my stay was good, the breakfast was good and overall I am satsified.

Everything was fine except for the TV in the room. It was so fuzzy you couldn't read what quarter it was or how much time left in the football game.

Everyone was wonderful. Breakfast was good although quite busy on the weekend. Happy to say they kept up. Seating was an issue but what a great way to get to meet new folks and find out about them.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is a very pleasant place to stay. PROS: free parking and breakfast (that makes the hotel effectively much cheaper than many other nearby places), clean, quiet rooms, 6 blocks to metro. The staff at the hotel was very friendly perhaps one individual was a little over the top but that's ok. After that it slips a bit. This location needs to be updated with new furnishing. Beds that are comfortable and bed linens at fit. Is it too much to ask for a fitted sheet that "fits"? The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel overall was a bit bland and worn. The location was a little outside the heart of the Ballston area, and about 10-15 mins walk from the Metro. Ok if you just need a place to stay that's not horrible.

We stayed at the Comfort inn Ballston during a trip to DC. This hotel is in an easy to get to location ant very close to the metro station. We rode the subway to DC everyday. The hotel was priced right and the parking was free!! We will definitely stay here again while visiting DC.

I usually stay at the Holiday Inn two blocks south because of a loyalty program, but when it was booked solid I tried the Comfort Inn. And with the exception of being a bit farther from the Metro, the Comfort Inn has it over the Holiday Inn. Staff is extremely helpful, professional and courteous to the last inch. On-site covered parking is a big plus […] (no hot car interior). Rooms are solid mid-level hotel rooms, clean and well-maintained. Lobby is pleasant. I didn't try the breakfast but nice that it's an option. An on-site restaurant and bar would be great, but there's no lack of choices a few blocks south. If you spend any time in the DC-NoVA area, you know that hotels come in either the low-end, only-if-you-really-have-to variety, and the more upscale and pricey options in places like Crystal City. I had a very positive experience at the Comfort Inn Ballston. The hotel is very clean and all the staff is pleasant and helpful. The free hot breakfast was very good, especially the waffle maker. The free shuttle to the metro was nice as well. The hotel is in a very good neighborhood. You are walking distance to several nice restuarants and the metro. […] The only negative I could think of was that the tvs are not flat screens but older tube style.
