Couldn't eat in restaurant , no buffet due to earth quake reparations- - just noisy bar, but found a great japenese restaurant nearby ( by car) Would have liked staff to talk about places to eat not just tell about the hotel catering which was struggling due to earthquake repairs- ie no bufffet available. This hotel was very nice and very clean. It was across the park so only about a 5-10 minute walk from downtown (which unfortunately was mostly shut down due to the earthquake last year). The service was great here and the food in the restaurant was also good.

dated and substandard with what's available in christchurch

Having just finished 21 days on the road I was eager to check into my room. It was only 10:30 am but the gracious staff checked me right in, no questions or attitude. The hotel is still in repair from the earthquake but it seemed like business as usual. My 3rd floor room was fantastic. Comfortable bed, tea/coffee and cookies, large bathtub with nice […] products, a work area and a window which opened onto a view of greenery. Breakfast was not included but for $15 I got a cooked eggs, toast and coffee. Christchurch has a long way to go in terms of recovery but if your travels take you there try this hotel. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Fairly nice hotel right by the park. Opposite side of the park from downtown, but that's ok b/c most of downtown seemed to be shut down due to the recent earthquakes. The hotel is in good shape - has a few odd support beams around to keep it structurally sound. Is actually quite big, with interesting decor. Nicely situated next to the beautiful park. Far from the city center, and not a big choice of restaurants around. The hotel restaurant is ok.

This is a jewel in Christchurch. We had our son with us and the 3 of us fit very comfortably into the room. The park close to the hotel is very handy and the area around the hotel is fab. Highly recommended for a stay. the food in the hotel is a bit expensive (other than breakfast...which is great). However, lots of options closeby

Good central location near Christchurch park. Excellent landscaped grounds with free parking. Good restaurant. Service is okay.

Lovely hotel opposite the park and a shot walk from the centre. Very room and bathroom, which was clean and presented well. Good food from room service.

What a charming hotel, arrived after a tiring couple of weeks skiing and traveling, only stayed one night but loved it and would definitely stay again. We found the service excellent and friendly, our rooms comfortable and clean, in fact the best we stayed in during our NZ visit. The gardens were delightful, and a balm to the senses, especially during […] breakfast. We dined in the brasserie, and found the food delicious, and much more reasonable than a lot of the places during our holiday. It was so much nicer than a multi story hotel, and I will recommend to all my friends. It is most definitely our pick next time we visit. Great base in Christchurch. Have stayed there 3 times now. Clean,convenient. Great breakfasts.

In our month long trip through Australia and New Zealand this was the most beautiful and welcoming place we stayed. It is right next to the part and within walking distance to the train station. The hotel has a free shuttle to take you the 2 km into downtown and has a schedule for picks ups too. Will also take you to the train station. The restaurant […] on site is first class and very accomodating to special request. The dial up is free and of a good quality. Broadband is also available for purchase. Hann inte uppleva så mycket bara en övernattning men hotellet gav ett mycket trevligt intryck.

Jeg skulle bare have en enkelt overnatning i Christchurch og var ganske tilfreds. Jeg ankom sent men kunne stadig bestille mad op paa vaerelset efter midnat. Man kunne faktisk ogsaa faa god New Zealandsk vin til rimelige priser, hvis man ville. Beliggenheden var ikke ideel. Jeg ville have foretrukket et hotel noget taettere paa lufthavnen men jeg kunne […] ikke umiddelbart se andre hoteller taettere paa. Saa det kostede mig en del frem og tilbage i Taxi. อ่านเพิ่มเติม
