A very enjoyable 5 day stay. There were, however, a few areas for improvement... The cutlery in the restaurant was not clean, so we left. We went with a group for my daughter's 21st birthday. The hotel is so beautiful and the carousel bar area was so fun. The staff was amazing and VERY accommadating. Called ahead to get our rooms on the same floor. Wesley called me right back to let me know that he was able to do that and Lucille in the restaurant took excellent care of us for breakfast. […] It's also so close to all the must see sights. I expected more for what we had to pay check in was at 3:00 and we could not get into our room until 4:00 after having to speak to the manager who told us about a large turn over in guest, but he did get us in our room finely waited another half hour for luggage. parking at the hotel I though was over priced since we were guests of the hotel we still […] paid for parking and we only stayed 1 night it was a bit pricey, waited in the bar for our room no where to sit. pool on roof top had garbage floating ing it so we skipped swimming. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

The entire hotel is non-smoking. This was one of the reasons we selected the hotel. The room next to ours contained smokers who believed that smoking in the bathroom must of been ok. The smoke went into the bathroom vent and into our bathroom. We complained but got very little satisfaction. They offered to move us to a new room but we declined since […] we were checking out in the morning and much of the smoke smell had dissipated. This was a big mistake. That morning at 6AM the cigarette smoke was stifling. It was so bad in the bathroom my wife elected to use the public bathroom in the lobby. We checked out at 6:30. The Monteleone is a beautiful, old hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. The standard rooms are not overly large, but the decor is lovely and everything is always neat and clean. The hotel is very efficiently run and it is our first choice when in New Orleans.

It's just too good. Hazardous to your waistline, for sure! Very courteous staff, also, at all levels. Nearby Bourbon Street district needs a thorough and regular pressure washing though. It does stinketh!

Room too small for the price. Thank goodness we were only there for one night because my husband and I were on top of each other trying to get dressed for a wedding. There are MANY NOLA hotels with better rooms for the price that are centrally located. Probably won't stay here again. The staff and customers in the Carousel Bar were RUDE. Great location but the room we had was updated and didn't have the old-world feel we had hoped for. The Carousel is a great bar. Overall good but thought it was someone overrated.

OMG! Two of the worst nights ever in a hotel. The noise from Bourbon street was unbearable. The lowriders had bass playing so loud that my window shook. Not everyone comes to New Orleans to party all night. the hallways were full of drunken revelers who screamed and laughed at 4 am. Never ever coming here again.

Can keep time period but still have a sense of modern feel. Felt like I should be in the guest house at a cross between country house and 80 floral print that needs a lot of new but retrospective ofthe period they are trying to embellish The bathroom, however , was exquisitely played out. standing granite shower. Same at counter tops and sink is amazing. […] The tub was also a Jacuzzi tub and I sure did enjoy the sauna steam room and shower to cool off was best part of my room. Nicely renovated but retains its classic look. Very comfortable room. Conveniently located in the French Quarter but off Burbon Street so quiet.

This is probably the most charming, family owned hotels in New Orleans...perfectly located on Royal Street in the French Quarter. This hotel is very historic and located in the heart of the French Quarter. You must have a drink at the revolving bar! Highly recommended.

Perfect location. If you don't have a car this is the place to be. There is no need to take a taxi to visit the French Quarter since you are right there. Rooms are very cleaned. Bathroom could be bigger. Overall, I would come back there.

Great hotel staff...unpacking car, the bellman accidentally smudged one of my shirts...apologies all around...dry cleaned and delivered at no charge the next day. Location was spectacular for checking out the French Quarter and riverfront. Some of the best entertainment we saw was at the hotels bar. Rooftop pool was a nice touch.

Location fantastic. Bar and restaurant very good. Room --- view of the alley, outfiltted for handicapped (was not told at check in) and bar was not stocked even with water. Carpet was not clean.

Clean, busy, quiet, safe. Wonderful rooftop pool. Restaurant was the only disappointment as only so-so and very expensive; luckily lots of better options nearby.

I purchased 2 Deluxe Double Rooms, the rooms were very small considering what I paid for them. Hotel elevators were very slow and noisey!!!

Hotel Monteleone was great! The entire staff was helpful, expecially the VIP Concierge. The room was small but very clean. I used the spa and had a relaxing facial. We ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. It is around the corner from everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

Its a great hotel and a feature in New Orleans. The Carousel bar in the lobby is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue with the hotel is the noise that filters up from Bourbon Street. Even though the hotel is on Royal street (one block off) the noise level is loud and can keep you up until 3am unless you yourself are too tired or […] passed out to hear it. This is a great hotel. Beautiful and perfect location. My only complaint is about the pillows. Beds are super comfortable but pillows sink too much. It was as though my head was on the mattress- no support. Bringing my own pillow next time will make for an excellent stay.

We had to wait for 45 minutes for our vehicle because they were having problems with retrieving the vehicles. Also while eating in the restaurant, the food and coffee were cold.
