good for the price and great complimentary buffet breakfast!!! great selection and hot items on the menu!!! I highly recomend for the breakfat buffet!!!

The front staff as well as the Janitorial staff was very friendly. I had alittle trouble with my door but I was help quickly. The room had a funny smell at first but I always take Lysol Spray and I did put it to use. The free breakfast is worth paying for. There was a decent variety of breakfast foods to my surprise. The Ramada staff has exemplary customer service which compensates for its shortcomings. The check-in was awesome: very friendly and accomodating. For the price, I can't really complain--(but it is something about the hotel carpets. The carpeting just seem saturated with foreign matter and degenerative smells. And every hotel has that stained antiquated […] chair sitting in a corner that looks like it belonged to Queen Elizabeth the 1st.) Overall, the stay was great-the room was cleaned. Nothing great, but worth it for an affordable night sleep. Will stay again if I need a bed to crash on for one night.

Very clean place to stay, friendly staff and good breakfast! I am a very picky person and cleanliness is VERY important to me, if it isn't celan I won't stay or sleep well, I slept very well in the extremely comfortable bed and clean room. The hotel staff was very pleasant, the breakfast was good and we the price was just right.

I'd stay there again. No complaints.

Last minute switch to this hotel and glad that Hotels.com switched us here. Traveled with lab puppy, no problem - they let you have animals. Extremely happy with the continental breakfast and the lady who kept all the food hot and fresh. Glad we stayed here.

The Ramada in Alexandria is right off of MacArthur, which made it easy to find. The staff at check in were nice but not necessarily professional. This seems to be a motel where a lot of truckers stop. Probably the convenience to the Hwy. We had a problem after we had dressed for bed. We realized house keeping had not left a back up roll of toilet tissue. […] Being already in our sleeping clothes we called the front desk to ask that someone bring an additional roll to the room. The girl at the front desk said there was no one there that could come to the room. The person that did that sort of thing was on a run. I asked to speak to the manager and he told me I would have to come and get it. I explained we were already dressed for bed and would have to redress to come to the office. He said basically too bad that's just the way it is. So my friend got out of bed redress and went to the office. I just feel he was rude and this could have been handled better. Also, about 4:00 AM people started leaving and talking to the top of their voice. This continued it seemed every 20-30 mins. disturbing some well needed rest. I guess I'd recommend this hotel because it's cheap and the breakfast was good. However, the carpet smelled and access to the room was from the outside, not the hallway which makes me feel unsafe. I did think it was in a convenient location. It wasn't horrible, but if I go back to Alexandria, I'm going to look into staying somewhere else.

Room was decent for a nights stay! Really no complaints! Front desk guy was kind of slow! But it happens I guess!

Wasn't bad. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Wasn't the cleanest outside, but I didn't sleep outside.

After driving 20 hours and having an extremely bad experience with one of the other hotels in the region i would recommned this hotel for its price, cleanliness and comfort. Enjoy your stay!!!

My room smelled like old urine, and it wasn't from the bathroom. Possibly from the carpet? The AC unit rattled loud but at least it drowned out some of the sound from the upstairs tenant who stomped around until after 2 AM. I barely slept. The pool area might have been fun but is was packed full of teenagers screaming & partying so we didn't get to […] use that either. My coffee maker had been used as an ashtray with ashes still present, so no morning coffee either. The Hotels.com agent assured me that this hotel had rooms with adjoining doors but it does not. Thankfully the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fairly clean. Still, I'm sorry that I stayed here and don't plan to return. This is an average hole in the wall hotel, you may luck out and get a decent room or you may get stuck in one like I did, it's a gamble. Thankfully we arrived late and left early. Spent most of the night killing roaches. Non-smoking room smelled like it had been used as a smoking room.

A/c units are very old. Mine was busted and they didn't want to put me into another room.

The breakfast was very good. They has eggs, waffles, boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits with gravy and then your regular hotel breakfast.

It was located in an ideal location for my trip to Alexandria.

The staff was very friendly...even trying to find me a cell phone charger at one point. The condition of the room, on the other hand, was appalling. One of the walls was coming apart, the carpet felt dirty/musty, the shower was placed in the tub for a person 4 feet tall (the max it would wet was my tummy...and I'm not even 6 ft tall). Where to start. Non-smoking room w/ three ashtrays. Room smells like disinfectant and cigarettes. Bedding from the 1970's that has never been changed. Shower head that is made for midgets. No/weak signal on HBO and other channels that I actually wanted to watch. Greasy carpeting. Way too much money for the lack of quality.

Great breakfast complimentary. Clean beds and nice staff.

We spent two nights here for a golf tournament we were attending nearby. The hotel was clean, neat and appeared to have been recently remodeled. The breakfast buffet was very good and included eggs, and sausage in addition to the usual continental type of meal. The only negative was that our air conditioner did not cool well.
