nice hotel, unpleasant Executive suite. Carpet doesn't look clean and bath tube is very small and was not clean everyday!!! No free internet in the Executive suite!!! Free internet in the lobby but not in the room

Waaay better than Hilton Times Square, more spacious and luxurious, less noise than TS, close to 5th ave and Central Park, 10 blocks to TS

I reserved an executive suite with a view to the city. It turned out to be that this "suite" was a regular room size compare to other executive suites in other hotels, I have stayed in. It also said "the bathroom has bathrobes" and it only had 4 sets of Bath towels :( ., Also the Peter Thomas Roth toiletries, were simple soaps and a shower cap that […] can be purchased at any cheap store. Exactly what you would expect from a luxury hotel. Great location, very convenient to 5th Ave and Madison Ave and nearby subway stations. Short walk to Central Park. Very safe neighbourhood. Security check in the evenings are good I suppose. But there is only free WiFi in the lobby, would be nice if it was in every room.

I've seen this hotel during my travels in NYC prior to this trip and I was excited at the idea of staying there this year. The lobby was nice and gave the impression that the rest of the hotel would be consistent with that. This was only half true. We stayed on the 44th floor which was under construction, information that wasn't shared during the phone […] calls we made prior to arrival or upon check in. The walk to our rooms was cluttered with materials for rooms that were under renovation. The workmen were everywhere and the noise from the power tools was loud and obnoxious. Although the hotel was in an excellent location the rooms definitely need an up to date appliance renovation. We made some requests prior to our stay which they said would be no problem and upon arrival none of the requests were met. If they could not do it they should have said so instead of setting the wrong expectations and beginning our stay on the wrong foot. Almost every surface in the room was covered in a layer of dust, which could be due to the construction, but that should've been taken care of prior to our visit. The ice machine on our floor stopped working after 1 bucket of ice, forcing us to go to different floors if we wanted ice. The staff was friendly and accommodating, aside from the women working in the gift shop. They were rude and not accommodating or hospitable. The perks of having an executive room were great. It worked perfectly for 4 of us to stay in one standard room with 2 double beds. I was worried about the elevators taking a long time, but we had no problems with long waits for elevators. Check-in took a bit longer than I'm used to (this was the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel). There was a pretty big line that was moving slow - not sure why additional employees weren't added to help. Other than the wait, the hotel is very nice & clean. Convenient location to everything. Disappointed at first with apparent gloominess, which set the scene. 11.00pm had to go out to get something to eat, since I don't like sushi. Service polite, but missing the friedliness I'm used to down south. But over a few days, the place grew on me but not to the extent that I'd make sure I stayed there next time in NY.

This was a nice hotel with a convenient location. One negative comment would be that lost and found were not very helpful and a little rude. We left an expensive unbrella in the room and were told if no one turned it in it was gone.

View was absolutely amazing from the 40th floor. Location was great, only a few blocks away from Times Square. Hotel was clean and comfy. I would definitely choose this hotel again!

The room is nice and big but the bathroom needs work. The ceiling in the bathroom is peeling off and there is a hole in the wall right on the side of the toilet.

Room was dirty. Staff was indifferent. Elevators took 5-10 minutes to arrive. We were informed by the hotel that they would be upgrading the internet on our floor and as such, required us to checkout in a timely manner. Checkout was listed as 11am. At 9:00 am, a member of the staff actually entered our room with a master key and asked us to get prepared […] to checkout. It was unnerving to see a man enter our room. Very odd. My wife and I had a wonderful time in Hilton Midtown, New York. The location is great, the rooms very nice and clean, and the staff very polite and helpful. We were allowed to check out three hours later than the regular check out time so that we could leave our luggage before departure. It was 73 degrees in our room and we sleep with it at 70. We called the front desk and they told us that they did not have the main a/c on; to quit trying to run it in our room. They told us to open our window (only opened 2" on the 28th floor) and sent us a very small fan. We requested a fan for the room next door where 2 of our adult kids were but […] it never arrived. Busy lobby but super quiet rooms, especially for being so centrally located midtown. Easy walking to Park, Shopping & Sites. Staff was incredibly attentive! Super customer service. By NY standards, the room was large and well equipped, with comfortable bedding and ample storage.

This hotel was great and perfect for me and my friend's weekend stay in Manhattan. Amazing location, close to everything, and the best price we found on a hotel room! Beautiful, clean hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is purely awesome. Staff, service, and location were all great. How can you beat being right across the street from the Halal Guys, Central Park, and all the major subway stops. Even the hotel bar / lounges were the best and the fitness center was decent too! I will stay here every time I go to NYC!!

Typical corporate audience driven Hilton; comfortable but few notable amenities. Bathroom fixtures were dated and scratched but otherwise a pleasant stay. Great location to shopping on 57th and 5th and only a few blocks from Central Park.

Our room was ok ,but we complained 3 times to the front deck with the loud TV in the next suite. Nothing never really got done from security even though they talked to the people in the room. Will not stay their again.

Location is excellent and the room/amenities are okay. Check-in was a nightmare - there were 40-50 people ahead of me when I arrived at 11 pm and literally a hundred kids running around the lobby from some sort of NYC tour. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate guests to the best of their ability. Very good. Signs on the doors inviting customers to join Hilton Honors listed Wi Fi in the room. After joining, we discovered it's only for Gold members. That's misleading. They also don't give Hilton points if you reserve through other than Hilton. Friendly staff and accommodating on check out time when we needed to stay a bit late to attend a Parkinson's […] walk in Central Park. It's right near MOMA, which is free on Friday nights. The lobby is very impressive however the carpet in the hallways in the upper floors is in need of replacement. The bathrooms are very tight with just a smidgen of counter space. As a tall person, I had to duck under the shower curtain bar and wasn't really comfortable with my head being just a few inches shy of hitting the ceiling - and the peeling […] paint. The trim on the mirror has been repainted numerous times and the enamel in the tub is weathering away. Great proximity to 5th Ave. shops and theatre district and fabulous restaurants. Nice hotel in the middle of everything in midtown. Lobby was very nice but our floor had not been remodeled yet so the room and the hallway was looking very worn. Hopefully the room will be remodeled soon. Other members of our party had a remodeled room and it was very nice.

Seems like each time I go, there's less luxury there, no fridge this time, no nicer sheets on bed...bathroom wasn't ultra clean...
