The room they originally assigned to be was occupied. This isn't the first time that happened

Bathroom was dirty, carpet had'nt seen a vacuum since the 90's, maid service was erratic, bedspread had stains, continential breakfast was weak with most items missing. Worst La Quinta I've ever stayed in!! I won't be back.

I had a uncomforable feeling regarding thecleanliness of the room. It was not dirty as uch but it did have an air of unkept about it and the bathroom defintely could have done with some updating. First, the staff is good - they try hard to please. But the hotel dates from the 70's and looks very dated and dirty. Can't tell this from the clever photos. 1st room was comfortable overall but smelled like smoke, had dirty & torn sheets, and bathroom had dirty toilet & smoke burns on the bathtub We changed to 2nd (non-smoking) room which was better […] but still had cleaning issues with sheets and bathroom. The windows opened but did not have screens or security stop so someone could literally walk right in. Rooms & hotel have absolute minimal amenities expected from a 2-star facility. We had: few Toiletries, thin Towels, basic (not great) Breakfast, and tricky HVAC controls. Also the Pool was filthy and wouldn't have used it. On the good side, the flat screen TV was nice, carpets were relatively clean and the bed was fine. Finally, probably good for people who smoke and/or travel with dogs as there seemed to be a lot of those around, but don't recall seeing that anywhere in online descriptions or La Quinta website. The hotel staff was really nice the rooms were really nice and clean. But the pool was ice cold even in 90 degree weather it was freezing and the breakfast was good but got boring after having the same thing every morning. But it was nice to have ihop and Denny's right there.

This is a decent La Quinta (which I thought was spanish for "next to Denny's", but in this case is next to an IHOP). The IHOP isn't necessary because the breakfast is what you'd expect, though I would have liked a bigger yogurt selection. A little tricky to get in the correct entrance. would rate as a standard motel, nothing fancy. Lots of truckers seem to stay here and noise could be a problem. Room sparsely furnished but adequate. Would try again if not looking for a slightly more posh hotel.

Nice room for the price!! Good breakfast. Close to the freeway.

We have stayed in numerous LaQuinta's, in a couple of different states, and this one was by far the worst. Horrible entranceway to get into the hotel, not only the drives poor location (watch for the sign "turn here) but if you don't stop to a crawl (while on a major intersection) your car will bottom-out (evident from multitudes of scrapes in the asphalt). […] The room was loud (24/7 interstate traffic). The shower head was built for someone under about 5' tall, I'm 6-3, wife 5'7, we both had to squat to shower. Pillows sucked. Bed was okay. Just felt dirty in the room. I wlii definetly stay here the next time through Bakersfield CA. A great Mexican restaurant within walking distance too

Excellent value for the price. The rooms had been updated and were clean. Very little noise compared to many we have stayed in. Check in was the fastest I have ever seen.

First impression very nice. Front desk not too responsive. We stood for about a 5 minutes until we were acknowledged. I think it was about 3 oclock and staff were changing shifts. We do not smoke and when we opened the door to the room the smell of smoke took our breath away. we had to ask for towels and they were so thin. this was not a very nice stay..I dont know if allof the LaQuintas are the same, I dont think I will stay at another one

No WiFi, dirty bathroom, noisy hotel, stinky room, inattentive front dest. La Quinta customer service line not working, so they couldn't help either. Totally disappointed. La Quinta's motto is 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarenteed -- well I had less than 10% satisfaction and could not get a refund.

My husband and I were very comfortable at you hotel. I think the only complaint that I would have if that in the morning at I was taking a shower the water kept going hot and cold on me. The water would go cold and I would have to turn up the hot water then the water would be to hot after the water temp. ajusted.

This LaQuinta was a bit outdated but very clean. Noise becasue located near busy highway. I would probably stay again as it was well priced. An excellent mexican eating place right next door. Very good price. Breakfast was good and clean place.

Excellent price and centrally located. What a pleasant surprise!

The room was clean, linens were soft and new, bed was comfy. The water was hot, with a little variation in temp during the shower, but not terrible. The only negatives were a wait to check in (there seemed to be a rush right as I arrived), and the breakfast food area was too small and crowded. And will these hotels ever clearly explain to guests how […] to use those waffle makers?!? Great Hotel, wonderful reception, professional people at the desks, the workers, great prices,and the nice mini-breakfast with the the waffle maker.

Call ahead for lower rooms with dog and handicap. Parking is a little far away if you are traveling with stuff in your car. Didin't see any camras. Our stay here was better than the one in Flagstaff, Ariz. "The beds were nicer.

Thin, scratchy bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths, dirty tub, no sugar or creamer in room for coffee. Won't stay there again.

I stayed here for a night stopping over on a move. The price was right and it was dog friendly, I didn't have a lot of time to book either so I gave it a shot. Check in was easy and the front desk was friendly. The reason for my rating is mainly the condition of the rooms and the neighborhood. First the rooms: Old crappy carpet, thin crappy bedding, […] kinda scratchy. I thought it might be bugs but it was probably just the quality and cheap washing techniques. The thermostat was broken (no adjustment) so it was a somewhat cold night. Next to no water pressure in the shower. Now the neighborhood. I was hungry and walked across the parking lot to the arby's. (Very convenient!) On the way back I was approached by a meth head who wanted some change. I just wanted to eat and this guy just kept talking and talking. Just ask me for change already! The fence next to the cars has bent bars where people from the apartments? next door obviously come through, most likely to steal. I didn't feel safe leaving anything in the car, you can bet with no real security car break ins happen all the time. I was travelling with guns so I took them out and actually slept with one loaded next to the bed. I grew up in a bad neighborhood, I knew this place was ghetto the instant I pulled in. We arrived late and didn't stay long but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I went down to the cont. breakfast at 9:15 and everything was gone except coffee so I can't comment on the breakfast.

Hairballs in the shower. Sticky soda residue on the table. Vitamin pills on the bathroom floor. Not recommended.

Sarah at the front desk is very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast is adequate.

Our stay was wonderful up until the time I woke up and turned on the heater and it did not work... The breakfast was good. We would stay again...

We stayed here for one night. We requested a non-smoking room, but the room we were given smelled musty. I should have taken the hint and asked to be moved. Right after we went to bed, the occupants of the room adjoining (there was a door between the rooms) began to chain smoke. We tried to tolerate it, hoping it would stop, but ended up asking to be […] moved. We were moved to a room that didn't have a working heater (and no number on the door), but we were so worn out from moving four of us and all of our luggage that we just slept with extra clothing on. We also had a visit from a cockroach. We had plans to stay another night, but cancelled our reservations. On the plus side: the front desk was polite. The breakfast buffet was sufficient. The location was convenient. The price was right. I would say that if you are sensitive to smoke, you should really emphasize that to the front desk. I would also investigate the whole room before moving any luggage from the car.
