Oceanside Inn and Suites - เกาะเจคิลล์

The room itself is fairly large but not very clean, with a small kitchen, but there was only one plate, two forks and four knives. Overall, for the price of a beachfront hotel it was a good value. I would stay again, but bring my own dishes.

This place was perfect for our needs. It was right on the beach and allowed us to bring our dog along and was very affordably priced! We will be sure to come back here soon!

Our room was mildew-y smelling, worn out, and dark as a tomb. The rooms that faced the ocean or were on the second floor are probably much better, albeit more expensive. The Oceanside is just that so the location is great. The place is a bit run down thought. Could use some major repair and upkeep. The restaurant is at best forgetable. Food was very average and took forever to arrive. Eat elsewhere.

We stayed at Oceanside Inn over the spring break this year and overall we had a positive trip. The location is great, the grounds are very nice. The staff are friendly and courteous. First let me say - it's an old fashiond beach hotel, if you're looking for a Hyatt on the beach. . .this is not the hotel for you. But, if you're interested in a hotel with large rooms (small bathroom), CLOSE to the beach, pet friendly, family friendly, with a staff that seems happy to work there. . .then this is the hotel for you. There were a lot […] of dogs, and 99% of them had very responsible owners (CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR PET)! This is very important, because if not - it would be awful, but the grounds are very clean. The rooms are VERY close to the beach, the hotel has a large sandbox for children, a vollyball court, pool, playground equipment, and a horse-shoe pit. It's really a great place to relax. Just remember it's an old fashiond beach hotel - not a new modern one. But I'm already waiting for my 7 month old grandson to get old enough to start bringing him along. The hotel was as expected...The great thing about the hotel is they have a generous pet policy. However, we were hit with a large fee for a roll away bed that we were not expecting. Upon arrival I spent five to ten minutes swatting flies, dusting cigarette ash off my pillow cases in my non-smoking room, and trying to keep my dog from eating the dead bugs behind the night stand. It was disgusting.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2012. Staff was friendly,rooms were comfy, but very old and rundown. Rusty, leaky faucets in bathroom. The LOCATION was perfect! We were a few hundred feet from everything...the beach, pool, hot tub, the local grocery store and post office. Don't forget the bug spray... the sand gnats are horrible!

- Receptionist had great difficulty figuring out how the Hotel.com receipt came thru. We booked two rooms online. - Rooms were VERY DARK, very little lighting. - Breakfast was a no-go because the wait staff wanted us to do the buffet and not order breakfast off the menu. That was a little disappointing. The location, pool, were fantastic.

The room i was assigned was not clean, the toilet ran all night, and the coffee had old coffee with mold in it. The refrigerator would not cool down. After talking to the front desk, we were upgraded and that satisfied my issues. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the hotel maintenance and maid service.

As a working photographer the rooms and the area were great as a base to work from. We were doing some fashion work on the beaches and the rooms were great.

The hotel looks and sounds so nice on the internet but BEWARE!. It was expensive for what we got. The hotel room stunk, and the vents were covered in filth. I had to move to a different room. The hotel is in dire need of maintanence and updating. The maid service sux. I asked for fresh towels and dishes (I was in a suite) at 8am and by 5pm no one had […] come. When we got back to our room about 9pm, we had towels but no dishes. I complained to the front desk and they promised we would have what we need that night. Never got them. The phones didn't work! The beach was full off jelly fish and sand fleas. It was miserable. I even asked to check out a day early but they wouldn't let me. My wife and I couldn't wait to leave and all other motels booked so we were stuck. We had to ask for toilet paper, asked several times for towels. The bathroom was unsanitary, drains weren't working, it was awful. Room furnishings and decor right out of the 50's. I doubt this review will be published.

great hotel with 2 young children

Loved this hotel. I wish we would have had time to stay longer. The room had good amenities, refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot. Took a morning walk along the path that ran alongside the beach. It is a pet friendly hotel which I am happy to see even though I no longer have a pet to travel with. I was very pleased with my choice.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our dog loved our stay. Walked on the beach each morning as the sun came up. Jekyll Island is one of our favorite destinations. Hotel was very convenient and clean.

Location was great, however the rooms need to be refurbished. Foam pillows were hard & old. Bathroom needed a total redo, dingy, old fixtures, and it wasn't very clean under sink and around the floor area. The ceiling light fixture blinked off & on, and the outlets were loose and hazardous. Hotel layout and rooms are dated, but location is great. We had trouble with leaking pipes in one room but the staff moved us quickly to another room without problem. Price is right.

The hotel is very convenient during a stay on Jekyll. The staff is friendly and the room was clean. It could use a few updates, for example the tub would not retain water long enough for my small child to finish a bath. I also feel that people who bring pets to stay overnight should be designated an area of the hotel. The inn is an older establishment but well kept. It's on the ocean which makes it special. They allow dogs which is rather unusual but we found it charming.

There is no place on earth better than Jekyll Island. This motel was fine yet with old features. Was clean but had bird stuff on the windows. Have stayed at the Jekyll Island club and for the money is a better place.

I stayed here on business and I thought it was a pretty nice place. At the time, it was the cheapest place on the island, I got a very spacious room with two double beds, a closet area to hang up my clothes and a large bathroom. The hotel has a wonderful location. The ocean side rooms have a beautiful direct view of the water. The endless sounds of waves is very relaxing. During the off season there are not many people and you can walk the beach in near solitude. That said, our room was only adequate. It could use updating especially the bathroom. The location was great for golfing and was also right on the beach which was very nice with walkways between the hotel and the beach. The room itself was ok but the bathrooms could have been cleaner. I would probably select another of the several nearby hotels next time.

This motel needs refurbishing or just tear it down and rebuild. It needed an overhall 20 years ago. This is a 1 star motel. The rooms are not soundproof as I heard people talking at night for hours. Hard to get to sleep with people in several rooms adjoining mine talking and making noise. The sheets were clean. The staff are friendly. The only problem with our stay was the lack of handicap accessibility. The shower was a roll in but we had a power chair. There were no grab bars at all in the shower and no hand held shower to use. We did not have Hot water for 2 days.

The staff here are very good and the room was clean (as far as was possible) but the building is old and the rooms are very worn. Walks are sagging and cracked. Outside has been painted so many times that the walls are about 3/4 inches thicker. Doors are worn and chipped. My husband and I (and our two dogs, Arby and Sandie) enjoyed our weekend very much. We arrived later than expected and the desk clerk upgraded us from a "parking lot" view to an "oceanside view" without me asking her to and for no additional charge. The hot water didn't work the first night but one call to the front desk after midnight resulted in an […] immediate fix (security guard visited the boiler room and made an adjustment). The clerk followed up the next morning to make sure we were satisfied with the service. Being able to have the dogs on the beach and around the grounds added quite a lot to our trip. Also, "poopy scoopy" bags were conveniently placed near the ice/soda machines for us to clean up after the pups. Our rate was very reasonable and the staff was very pleasant. For the money, location, staff service, and being able to bring the dogs, I give this facility an A+. Note: It isn't anything "fancy" but it is clean, convenient, and a great place to sit out in their adirondack chairs and see an incredible sunrise (which we did!). Also, the pool and hot tub were very nice and clean, though we didn't have time to use either...we peeked in and saw that if we had time to use them we would feel very comfortable doing so. The adjoining restaurant (on-site) offered a great bar, t.v.s to watch sports, and a very generous and affordable breakfast buffet! Also, in the room guidebook there was a listing for horseback riding which we booked....fabulous and inexpensive. IT was a 90 minute ride through trails and along the beach. We were not that satisfied because the room was not that clean. The pain on the bathroom door was peeling off and the tub and toilet was rusty and old. I don't think that it was really worth the price that I paid and I will not stay there again.

I had a good three-night stay for GA-FL weekend. Staff were incredibly friendly, and we enjoyed the close beach, the walking trails, nearby shops, hot tub/pool, and amenities (fridge/microwave) in the rooms. Everything was very nice and the staff was great. However, the jacuzzi was dirty-- we did not use it even after we tried to clean it. The house keeper was supposed to come back and clean our room but never did. Even so, the stay was nice and we would like to come back.

Staff was helpful. Resturant and bar great. We would recomend this hotel a layed back vacation.

Several things caused my low review. First I thought it was a hotel, not a refurbished motel. Second the repairs made to the room were obvious...a hole in the bathroom door slap plastered over and painted.
