Immediately loved the hotel! Service was the best I've experienced; 5 star quality. Upon arrival, found out the hot tub was being serviced; told it would be repaired by Monday (we arrived Sunday evening). Just after we had settled in and were in the lobby deciding on our evening meal, the service man PERSONALLY approached us and told us the hot tub […] was completely repaired and available for us. Kudos to service and the men behind the desk! Our room was cleaned to perfection (5 star quality) by the time we returned to the room in the afternoon. Hotel personnel was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only issue we had was for some reason we were unable to get our wireless internet to work. Customer service worked with us for quite some time, and even though a solution could not be had, the hotel recommended that we use the computer which had hardwire internet. This is an older place where the rooms have multiple layers of paint. Carpeting wasn't all that clean. The door was dirty. The hot tub at the pool is supposed to be for 16 and older but was filled with little kids ... the result of bad parenting but there is no one on duty to get the parents to shape up and the kids out of the hot tub. We stayed in this Crown Plaza for three nights while visiting the Guahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland by end of March. Pros: Great swimming pool, comfortable bedding and beds, clean appearance, lots of restaurants within driving distance, quiet. Cons: Lack of table and chairs to eat, bathroom needs updating (bolts sticking out, drywall ripped, caulking disgusting and just dirty looking), No microwave nor refrigerator, Restaurant is overpriced and food is not good, […] no free continental breakfast. For this being the the hotel it is, I really expected a better stay. This is really geared towards the business traveler and not families, irononically, because the pool is fabulous. They had lots of conferences going on there during our short 2 night stay. It is a really easy drive to Cleveland and makes this hotel very affordable. The location was great. My daughter loved the pool! Tried to order room service and was told that they didn't have what I wanted due to a new menu. Went to restaurant to get new menu and was told it didn't exist. Servers were rude and offensive. Why offer it if you don't want to provide it? Breakfast was complete opposite. My daughters and I had a wonderful time at the Plaza. The ammedities were great. It was great to stay at a more upscale establishment. Keep up the good work!

Entered the room and immediately smelled a foul odor. The bed had stains and hair in it and the room looked like was it was cleaned in 30 seconds.

My husband and I drove to Cleveland to visit family and friends and this hotel was more than accommodating, not only was it in the ideal location for our destinations but it was close to the freeway. They allowed us to check in early despite their policy after our long drive. The room was very clean and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff […] was impeccable. Room was to close of outside exit door. You can hear the noise of door opening and closing. There should be a sign of entrance from main road.

Great staff! All dealings with them freindly, polite, and professional. Location; right off of I-77 and a quick trip to Downtown. Arrived a day early, expected to pay normal price (which I thought was fair and I expected) however; they noticed I booked through Hotels.com and matched the price for that night as well.

WE CHOSE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF HAVING 2 POOLS AND A HOT TUB. HAD WE KNOWN THAT ONLY 1 POOL WAS IN WORKING CONDITION WE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED. WITH PROBLEMS WITH MY KNEE WE ALWAYS PICK A HOTEL WITH A HOT TUB. HOTEL STAFF WERE NO HELP AND RUDE,

We loved everything about the hotel, but when we booked the room it included breakfast, however that didn't translate to the hotel. No breakfast for us...there is a Denny's just down the road though so we weren't that upset.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay with this hotel. The staff was world class and anything we needed was there in minutes. The Managers should be proud of thier staff. Good job by all.

Other than the loud people screaming up and down the hallway in the middle of the night, the stay was quite pleasant. We did contact the front desk and the noise subsided for a few hours.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel desk staff are to be commended. When we arrived at the Hotel they did not have the type of rooms/beds we had booked with Hotels.com. And they showed us the fine print on the Hotels.com receipt which is a disclaimer about Hotels.com not being able to guranteee the type of room/bed reservation. The Crowne Plaza Hotel desk staff […] are to be commended. On a packed night they shuffled and got us rooms close to what we reserved. But I am very disappointed in Hotels.com. We were expecting more from a Crown Plaza. One of the reasons we booked this hotel over others was because it had a spa tub. We found an empty tub with yellow tape around it since it was not working. The in-room safe was not working since the lock was removed. There was no hairdryer in the room. The lock on the room door didn't work and we were locked […] out of our room even though a second and third keys were remade and security had to finally let us in. There were no towels at the pool and we had to call to get some. Hotel is in a nice area. Carpet in the room was in need of repair (wavy and spongy). Toilet did not work properly. Door was inadvertently left ajar after it had been cleaned. Cleaning staff in hallawy were polite. Outdoor pool and the indoor Jacuzzi were not working.

Nice, comfortable hotel 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland. Although it is a typical location near the freeway, the wetland area behind the building made for a very nice walk before having dinner. We would stay here again.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Upgraded to concierge floor due to my Gold Priority status. Room service was quick and competent. Overall pleasant experience.

We experienced numerous small but annoying problems with our two night stay. The hotel itself was fine and staff was certainly friendly, but in the end, unable to resolve glitches smoothly. What were they? 1. TV remote did not work nor was the hotel staff able to get it to work for the duration of our stay. Petty, but annoying. 2. Cleaning crew left […] no towels, tissues, or coffee for the machine on our 2nd day (but did supply promptly when asked). 3. Hamburger ordered through room service ordered "medium" arrived interior raw and not safely edible. Restaurant agreed to credit our tab but did not. Check out clerk, though, did make adjustments. Could not get into room until shortly after 3p, as hotel was booked solid night before & housekeeping was still playing "catch up" with so much to do. CONS: The hotel staff (front desk) could not have been more courteous & friendly. Rm was clean, everything worked fine. Bed was SUPER comfortable, pillowtop (king). CONS: curtains in our room did not […] pull completely closed, only the sheers did, "not good" if you need a dark room to sleep in. No fan in bathroom. The room a/c unit is LOUD so we had to turn up the TV volume pretty loud in order to hear. Also, the thermostat didn't allow for a "continuous fan" setting, which I normally use as "white noise" to fall asleep by... the unit fan kept cycling on and off. I am not really sure I would retur to this hotel. The following things were minor annoyances: 1) No frig or microwave in the room 2) Noisy air/heater 3) Smaller room than expected 4) Very noisy hallways (there was some children sport event going on, with kids and parents camping out in the hallway): however, the front desk took care of it IMMEDIATELY, […] as soon as I compalined around 11:00 pm. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable; and breakfast was delicious and worthy the $ 9.90 list price. Hotel was clean, and in a good location, with exception of the highway traffic noise. HVAC was defective - would not work properly on any setting. Very noisy when running, and would turn on every 2 minutes.

Beautiful hotel, clean, well kept, very friendly. Only small issue we had were food trays left outside rooms for over 24 hours. Notified desk on checkout. Not a room service issue, restaurant personnel didn't pick up. Again - minor. Would definitely stay again. Only 10 min from cleveland and stadiums all by easy access highway.

I like the hotel because the room rate is reasonable and it is close to where my son lives. We were there in February and breakfast was free, but last weekend we had to pay, which was a little confusing.

From the moment we chacked into this hotel, it was great! We stayed on the 5th floor which is the Club level. We were provided with complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 5-7; this included excellent service as well. Our bed was extremely comfortable! We were only minutes away from Downtown Cleveland and Progressive stadium. At first glance this is a very nice hotel with an over abundance of staff. The lobby was nice enough and the staff was helpful. Our room however was another thing. It had obviously not been cleaned. The bathroom floor was dirty, the tub was dirty. The coffee station had no coffee, and the sugars packets and creamers had been cleaned out by the last […] guests. We had no remote control for the TV and the one supplied hardly worked. When we were brought coffee packets the person was rude to say the least. Our ice bucket had a bag of melted ice in it. Although this is a smoke free hotel it had a residual and noticeable ciggarette odor. The carpet was stained not only in the room but the hallways too. The most distressing part was when we pulled back the sheets and they had obviously not been changed. There were crumbs and also hair found. They were disgusting and smelled. The pool area was gross, only two lights were working making it quite dark in there and they were all out of towels. Although the service in the restaurant was good (his name was Eddie) my salad was warm and the chicken on it was tough. In the morning I was suprised that there was no coffee service in the lobby. Disappointed that the whirlpool had no jets - How can it even be a whirlpool without jets. Also someone in our hall had room service - dirty plates and glasses were on the floor for a day and a half. Finally removed by the time we got back to the hotel after dinner around 7:00

Just south of downtown Cleveland with easy access from the freeway. Across the street from the Cleveland Clinic. Clean, comfortable and safe. Outdoor pool was closed on 9-25-10 and a guy was sawing something outside our window at 9:00am, but we were already awake. It looked like the indoor pool was open, though. Best beds ever! Very old hotel. One of the oldest and not-so-nice Crowne Plaza's I have stayed in. Despite the fact that it was undergoing some cosmetic renovations, it is still not what I have come to expect in a Crowne Plaza. Hotel was not awful and was convenient for where I needed to be; other than that, would not rush back.

Looks like hotel is always under renovation. Location is not really close to anything but highway. Staff was very rude. When arrived had requested a room with 2 queens and we did not get room requested. Elevator is far from parking lot, needed to use stairs to high floors. Housekeeping staff loud and late to maintain rooms. Overall poor quality and […] dirty. This hotel was wonderful. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The shuttle service came in handy and was great to have. The breakfast was nice as was the lounge. Great location and very friendly staff.

Customer service is not worried about at this hotel. They do not worry about your concerns. There were loud noises and fights going on outside of our door from 12:00a.m. To 4:00a.m. Called down to the front desk 3 times, they sent someone up once. I could not tell you exactly if the beds were comfortable to sleep in since I only received 3 hours of […] sleep. Bathroom was clean, bed sheets had cigarette burn holes but clean. Shows they do not keep smoking room items separate from non-smoking. When checking out of the hotel, I explained how I was upset with the poor customer service.
