The employees were so nice & helpful, the pool/hot tub were great, the free food was amazing, & the rooms were so clean and the beds were comfy. I would stay here again and again.

Stayed going to Florida and On the way back home very accommating. We have a little Yorkie and they even paid attention to her.

The beds were a cloud and the aminities were fantastic.

We have been choosing Hampton Inns to stay in and have yet to be disappointed and the one in Portsmouth is no exception. The bed was just comfortable, the shower was awesome and the staff were just so friendly. The afternoon happy hour with snacks of popcorn, pretzels, was such a great little feature. Would highly recommend this Hampton Inn!

The "pet friendly" attribute does not list the $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE fee charged to pet owners who chose this hotel because of this policy. It was a surprising addition charged when checking in!

Had a lovely stay here. I thought it was closer to downtown, but they have a free shuttle that runs all day. The staff was extremely nice and everything was nice and clean.

We stayed at this hotel for a little weekend away from Boston with our kids and we were very satisfied with it. There is everything conveniently located around it, like restaurants, shopping, etc...My two daughters enjoyed swimming in the pool and the happy hour and breakfast were a big plus. Its also great that they accept dogs as we could of brought […] our little shih tzu but we decided to leave her at home. Finally, the staff is awesome! We needed a crib for our baby and they brought someting over in less than five mintues. It was a play pen (which the baby can sleep in) not a crib, but that was okay. This hotel was very clean and they were very friendly!! My husband and I went out in Portsmouth and it was nice to come back to hotel and relax and it was very quiet and easy accessible! :)

The Hampton Inn Portsmouth, NH was a wonderful experience. They treated me and my 2 little dogs like old friends. I asked for a lsat minute change in room assignment to have a location in the hotel that would be more convenient for walking my dogs . They happily obliged, giving me the perfect room. My wife and I stayed at the Hampton in Portsmouth N.H. last weekend. The room was beautiful and had a whirlpool tub in the bath. The pool itself was nice and had a nice hot tub too. The breakfast was a lot better than most hotel breakfast's. The staff was friendly so there was really nothing to complain about on this visit.

The Hotel personnel was very helpful with information about the area and the breakfast buffet was very good with many choices. Clean room and nice pool. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was so clean. That makes such a difference when staying away from home. The pool was a big hit with my kids, and managers hour was a big hit for my husband. They offer free drinks and smacks for kids and adults. Very nice touch after a long trip. I would stay here again for sure.......

We stayed there on business during a snow storm. The staff made everyone on the hotel feel welcome and helped the guests where ever they could. They even extended a happy hour to all guests that was meant to be a private event since most of us couldn't leave the hotel to get food. That being said it was a nice experience to stay there. It was an OK stay for the night I had. I chose the hotel because of it's location from my work, which is just around the corner. Great location to Portsmouth and seacoast area. View from room was nothing to write home about but, who cared, plus it was still snowing and it was cold leaving the drapes open. The room was large enough for a full family […] and the bathtub could clean that said family with just one use. Bed was a king size, a little lumpy, but I can sleep anywhere and could care less; I got a great night sleep. Nice touch adding the microwave to the room; liked that, made popcorn and watched TV before turning in. Breakfast in the morning provided by the hotel was very good and filled me up; was not just a muffin basket and weak, burned coffee. The only draw back from the hotel was the misleading use of the word "Pool and Spa". The Pool was a good size but a bit cold for an indoor heated pool; I will put that to the weather outside that night. The biggest drawback was the "Spa". I was looking forward to a nice steam room or sauna to get warmed up and relax after a long day of work. It turned out to be a very small hot tub in the back area of the pool house, very high seating just below the water line, poor jet placement, and not really living up to "hot tub" heated water. I sat in it anyway but the hotel needs to reconsider and name it just what it is, a hot tub. Also, for you workout buffs, don’t be looking to throw in a few dumbbell curls for those biceps or pec blasting on the weight bench, you won’t find anything here. Their workout room was more like a TV lounge with a treadmill, bike, and stationary rower in one tiny room; I gave that a pass and didn‘t bother. So, all in all, it was a great stay and convenient to getting into work again the next morning; good stop for those business travelers looking to kick off his shoes for the night. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was really clean and comfortable. The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful. We especially loved how affordable it was and the location was really convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

Great stay very, helpful, pet friendly very important, gentleman on the desk was fantastic, offered to suttle us to a restaurant. com breakfast was more than enought.

I was booked to stay here one night and then see... Stayed for three. It's a great value for the price and my room was down at the end of the hallway and very large. I could have easily had my two kids along with me!

I recently stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful. The hotel had recently been renovated and the grounds and the rooms were very clean and accommodating. My only peeve was that there was no dresser so me and my travel companion had to share one drawer. But the daily breakfast buffet, evening managers reception and free shuttle service were […] definitely amenities that will make me stay there again. My purpose of going was for shopping and the location couldn't have been better. Kittery is a 5 minute ride, fox run mall is 2 minutes and there are even two shopping plazas within walking distance! From the minute we checked in, I really liked this hotel. The girl behind the counter was very nice and very, very helpful. All of my questions about the surrounding areas were answered. It was before the check-in time but our room was ready so the girl checked us in - I was grateful for that after a 5 hour car ride! The hotel was clean (as was my room). […] Walking in the front door was coffe and a nice assortment of teas available. There was also a "manager's reception' later on in the day. I got down there very late so I missed the nachos they had, but the were nice enough to give me a bag of popcorn to go along with my wine :-) There was a shuttle available to take you downtown, which was less then 10 minutes away. The free (well, included in the price of your room) was a nice breakfast - assortment of cereals, oatmeal, make yourself waffles, fresh fruit salad, biscuits, scrambled eggs, muffins and I think sausage (i don't eat meat so I really didn't pay any attention to that). stayed only one night but, it was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We used the pool and spa . The next morning had a great breakfast . Will definetly return to Hampton Inn...

The young lady at the front desk on Saturday nights is friendly and accomodating. . She always greets me by name. Her attire is professional and neat. There are many hotels in the area I stay. She is one of the main reasons I return this particular hotel.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. We chose it for the reasonable price and close proximity to downtown (without the downtown prices). When we arrived it was the complimentary cocktail hour. We were able to relax and enjoy several drinks and snacks. When we were ready to head out for the night we used the free shuttle service that dropped us off […] right in front of our restaurant saving us cab fare one way. The rooms were spotless and very soundproof- it sounded like we were the only people in the hotel. Also, I have a very difficult time sleeping in hotel beds, but it was the most comfortable hotel mattress/pillows/bedding I have ever experienced. The staff were all very friendly and loved the shuttle service to local restaurants. The manager's reception in the early evening is nice with beer/wine and snacks. Our night was lobster bisque! Even though it is not located in the historic downtown, it is a quick drive from the hotel. Easy to get to all the surrounding sights from the hotel too.

A girlfriend and I decided to get out of town for a few days and relax so we booked our weekend stay (1/27/2012-1/29/2012) here. The staff were all extremely nice and accomodating. The hotel itself is undergoing renovations which was no issue for us (there was no noise, all the workers tried very hard to keep themselves and their tools out of the way). We took advantage of the Manager's Reception and we weren't alone, everyone seemed to come down to join in the free beer and wine socializing. The highlight of our trip was most certianly our beds - our double room had the most fantasticly comfortable beds that we didn't want to leave. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. We had a nice sized fridge and microwave in the room... along with our flat-screen TV, we could lounge and snack and watch movies all Sunday morning. Absolute bliss! The only criticism I would offer is to avoid the scrambled eggs in the morning and go for the hard boiled. very nice, staff was very accommodating and the shuttle was great. The hotel was under renovation but it was being done in such a manner that it did not inconvenience at all and noise wasn't a factor. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was very nice. I would stay here again.

Great hotel , great room.Managers cocktail hour at 4 free. Full breakfast with make your own waffles. Not close to downtown Portsmouth. But didn't matter. Great manager Patel. Driver of shuttle a little grumpy.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel twice now, each time was wonderful. For the price, you absolutely can't beat it! The pool area is great, with a unique wall mural of the Portsmouth coast line, a nice hot tub, and good sized pool. We've had the whole pool area to ourselves each time! The rooms are very nice for the price, and decorated with […] modern decor. Each evening during weeknights there is a "manager's meeting" where they serve free beer and wine, as well as various snack. It's such a nice way to meet and greet the other people staying, and chat with the friendly staff who are a wealth of knowledge about where to eat and visit in town. My boyfriend and I took advantage of the free shuttle service provided to go out to dinner the night we stayed, and we didn't have to fool around with finding a parking spot downtown! So nice! Spent two nights there. Very happy. Remodeling the whole hotel, very nice. Nice clean quiet rooms. Nice Pool and hottub. Lobby was nice. The free breakfast was very good with many choices. Hotel is close to everything, five min to downtown Portsmouth. Five min to the kittery shopping outlets. There is a huge mall a half mile away. Lots of stores around. Very impressed withthe staff. They seemed to enjoy their work. The bed was a little lumpy, so my back hurt the next day, but overall a pleasurable experience.

Hotel was under construction. I was sensitive to the smell of the paint or carpeting in room..The room was very nice and very clean,,,you are invited to a cocktail and snack hour.. you get breakfast, fresh baked cookies..Free shuttle to downtown area.....GREAT PRICE for all that is included...

Even though this hotel was under going renovations the staff did everything possible to make our stay wonderful and to make sure we were not inconvenienced in anyway! Was very happy to find the pool to be warm, unlike other Hampton's in the area and the evening receptions were a very nice added touch!
